For a broad PC library, start by checking GeForce NOW: it can connect supported game-store accounts and stream supported games you already own. But ownership alone is not enough—each service supports only certain games, editions, stores, regions, devices, and plans. Xbox Cloud Gaming also offers streaming for select owned games, while Boosteroid says paid games must appear on its list and come from an official distributor. Search for your exact game and edition in the service’s current catalog before subscribing.
Which cloud gaming service is best for games I already own?
The best option is the one that supports the exact title, edition, and storefront in your library, in your country and on your device. For PC games spread across several stores, GeForce NOW is the clearest place to begin: NVIDIA says it connects supported PC game-store accounts, including Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, EA app, and Xbox. Xbox Cloud Gaming and Boosteroid can also fit, but their owned-game routes have different eligibility checks.

How should I check whether a game I own will work?
Check the game in the service’s live catalog before paying. Match the store and edition as well as the title name, then confirm that your account, region, device, and plan meet the service’s requirements.
- Write down the games and where you own them. Note the storefront or platform account attached to each purchase. A PC-store copy and a console copy should be treated as different versions unless the service explicitly lists the version you own.
- Search the service’s current game list. Search by the full title and inspect the service’s details. A result for the same franchise or a similarly named edition is not enough to establish compatibility.
- Match the listing to your store and edition. For GeForce NOW, confirm that your storefront is supported and that the title is playable through that store connection. For Boosteroid, its help page says paid games must be listed and bought from an official distributor; the cited guidance does not establish that every store edition or region works.
- Check the access route and plan. GeForce NOW distinguishes Ready-to-Play games from Install-to-Play titles, which have additional eligibility conditions. Xbox’s owned-game route covers only select cloud-playable games and is subject to subscription and platform conditions.
- Check your country and device. Availability can vary by location and platform. A title appearing in a general service catalog does not, by itself, establish that it is available to you on your particular device.
- Confirm account and save behavior. Be ready to sign into the relevant store account where required, and check whether cloud saves work for your game and version. Do not assume that a save from one store or platform carries over to another.
- Repeat the check close to signup or play. Catalogs and eligibility can change. The in-service search is the practical final check, not an old list or a service’s overall game count.
This workflow avoids the most common mismatch: seeing a game advertised as playable and assuming that every copy of it is included. The title, storefront, edition, and access path all need to line up.

Yes, if the particular Steam game is supported by GeForce NOW and you own it on Steam. NVIDIA’s FAQ says members need to own or purchase a game from a supported store before playing it, except for free-to-play games. A Steam account containing many games does not mean every one of them can be streamed.
Ready-to-Play versus Install-to-Play
GeForce NOW has two relevant ways a game may be offered:
- Ready-to-Play: the game is maintained for an instant launch. Check that the service supports the title and the store version you own.
- Install-to-Play: eligible premium members can install opted-in Steam Cloud Play titles from their own Steam library. NVIDIA’s support guidance says installation is needed again in each session unless users opt for storage.
Install-to-Play is not a general-purpose way to install any Steam game. The title must be opted in by its publisher, and the player must meet the premium eligibility conditions. If a game appears through one access route but not the other, verify the route and your plan rather than assuming the listing is an error.
What the catalog counts do—and do not—tell you
NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW games page advertised more than 4,000 games and more than 2,200 Install-to-Play titles when retrieved on October 25, 2026. Those are NVIDIA’s own current-page figures, not an independently audited count, and they do not guarantee compatibility for any specific account, title, edition, or country. Check the live listing for the game you want.

Can I stream games I own with Xbox Cloud Gaming?
Yes, but only for select games that are cloud-playable through the owned-game option and only when the applicable subscription, region, and platform conditions are met. Xbox describes this as a way to stream certain games you own or buy outside Game Pass; it does not make the full Xbox library available for cloud streaming.
Use the current “Stream your own game” catalog as the check for a specific title. Xbox says the available titles, number of games, features, and availability can vary over time and by region, plan, and platform. The owned-game path also should not be confused with the separate Game Pass catalog: access to a game through a subscription catalog is not the same as owning a copy.
Xbox announced the owned-game streaming rollout on November 20, 2024, with more than 50 games at launch. That is a historical launch figure, not a current catalog count. The announcement described access for Game Pass Ultimate members through TVs and browsers on supported devices such as smartphones, PCs, and tablets in the 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) was then available; that rollout statement is not a guarantee of present-day availability in every listed country or on every device.
How does Boosteroid handle games I already own?
Boosteroid’s help guidance says a paid game must be included on its list and purchased from an official distributor. Boosteroid does not sell the games itself, so check your purchase account and the service’s listing rather than expecting the subscription to include the title.

The help-page rule does not establish that every store edition or region is supported. Search the current list for the exact title and store, then verify the details with Boosteroid if the listing does not clearly match your copy. Also check the service’s plan and your device and input requirements directly; the cited help information does not establish a universal plan or device fit.
What should I compare besides the game catalog?
After confirming the game is listed, compare the specific conditions that determine whether you can actually launch it and keep playing. A service may fit one title in your library but not another, so make the decision at the game level rather than relying on a brand-wide claim.

Store and game version
Record the exact store where you own the game and compare it with the service listing. NVIDIA names several connected stores, but still requires a supported game. For Xbox, confirm the cloud-playable owned-game listing rather than inferring availability from an Xbox purchase. For Boosteroid, confirm both the title and official-distributor purchase requirement.
Plan and access route
Check whether the desired route requires a particular subscription or membership. This matters especially for GeForce NOW Install-to-Play and Xbox’s selective owned-game streaming. A subscription can provide access to a streaming service without making every game included, and it does not convert a game you do not own into an owned copy unless the service explicitly offers that access.
Country and device
Catalog availability is not necessarily identical across regions or platforms. NVIDIA says game availability can vary by country; Xbox says availability and features vary by region, plan, and platform. Confirm that your location and intended device are supported before committing to a recurring plan.
Input and network
Xbox’s Cloud Gaming FAQ calls for a compatible Bluetooth or USB controller for cloud play, while noting that selected games support touch controls. Its stated download-speed guidance is a minimum of 10 Mbps, with some devices needing 20 Mbps for best quality. These figures are Xbox guidance, not a performance guarantee: actual results can vary with network, location, and device.
If you plan to play on a phone, tablet, or TV, a compatible Bluetooth controller may be useful; check the chosen device and game’s input support first. Touch controls are available for selected games, so a physical controller is not a universal requirement. No particular controller model is established as tested or recommended here.
Cloud saves and account access
Before starting a long playthrough, verify whether the exact game version supports the save behavior you expect. A service’s ability to launch a game does not prove that saves synchronize across storefronts or platforms. Keep the store account credentials and any required sign-in method available, especially if the game prompts for account verification during launch.

Which service should I choose for my library?
Choose by the games and accounts you already have, not by a generalized ranking. Use this decision path to narrow the options.
- Your library is mostly PC storefront games: check GeForce NOW first, particularly if your purchases span Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, EA app, or Xbox. Verify each game separately and distinguish instant Ready-to-Play access from eligible Install-to-Play access.
- You own Xbox games and want to stream them: check whether each title appears in Xbox’s current owned-game streaming catalog, then confirm your plan, region, and platform eligibility. Do not assume every console-owned game has a cloud version.
- You are considering Boosteroid: verify that the paid title is on its list and that your copy came from an official distributor. Ask the service about any ambiguous edition or region match before subscribing.
- You own games across several stores or platforms: make a short list of the few titles you most want to play. Compare the exact listing, plan, location, device, and save conditions for each one. The most suitable service may differ by game.
None of the cited information establishes a like-for-like price comparison across the three services, so compare current plan costs and restrictions directly before purchase. The important first filter is whether your specific games are accessible at all.
What can make an owned game fail to launch?
A failed launch can come from a mismatch between the copy you own and the version the service supports, rather than a problem with ownership itself. Check the relevant condition before troubleshooting your network or device.
- The game is not listed: search the live service catalog again using the full title. If it remains absent, do not assume the service can run it simply because you own it.
- The wrong store or edition is selected: check which storefront account is connected and compare it with the supported listing. Ownership on one store is not proof of access to another store’s copy.
- The title is Install-to-Play rather than Ready-to-Play: verify premium eligibility and publisher opt-in. Follow the service’s session installation process, and check its storage option if repeated installation is inconvenient.
- The account cannot verify ownership: confirm that you are signed into the account that owns the game and that the purchase is with a supported store. Some supported titles may require store login or ownership verification.
- The game is unavailable in your region or on your device: check current regional and platform availability. A listing on another person’s device or in another country may not apply to your setup.
- The input does not work: check whether the game supports your chosen control method. For Xbox Cloud Gaming, use a compatible Bluetooth or USB controller unless that game supports touch controls on your device.
- Streaming quality is poor: compare your connection with Xbox’s stated 10 Mbps minimum and 20 Mbps guidance for some devices, then consider that network, location, and device affect results. Meeting a stated minimum does not guarantee a particular picture or latency.
If a title’s listing is ambiguous, stop before subscribing and ask the service to confirm the exact store edition and region. A clear compatibility answer is more useful than relying on a catalog total or a general statement that the service supports a storefront.

Can I stream a PC game I bought on one store through another store’s cloud service?
Not automatically. The store connection and the supported edition matter; having a PC copy does not establish that another storefront’s version is recognized or that an entitlement transfers between accounts.
Does Xbox Cloud Gaming’s 2024 launch count tell me how many owned games I can stream now?
No. Xbox’s November 20, 2024 announcement said more than 50 owned games were available at launch, which is a dated launch figure rather than a current catalog total. Xbox describes the catalog as changeable.
Do cloud gaming services sell me the games they stream?

Microsoft’s EEA FAQ describes ten-year cloud-streaming commitments for eligible Activision Blizzard games and records agreements with NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Ubitus, Boosteroid, and Nware as of October 13, 2023. That is limited to the EEA and eligible games, and it does not establish that every such title is currently playable through every provider.
