Its community library has more than 6,500 templates, and users can also write checks of their own. Bulk and parallel scans, target-format support, filters, and authentication help tailor runs; protocol modules range from HTTP and DNS to TCP, JavaScript, code, and file. It can run in CI/CD pipelines and export SARIF results to GitHub Code Scanning. The CLI supports Linux, macOS, Windows, and on-premise deployment.

A different tool may suit you better if you want continuous scanning with remediation guidance, patch deployment, daily-updated vulnerability tests, or a GUI and reporting workflow. Nuclei is free, but it is primarily a standalone CLI, has no LTS or stable version, and active development can bring breaking changes. Some templates can fuzz or take actions that risk denial of service, though tagged templates are excluded from default scans. Compare the alternatives on the coverage, prioritization, reporting, deployment, and remediation workflows you need before switching.
