Instead of Locust
Locust alternatives
Locust gives teams a free, MIT-licensed way to load- and stress-test HTTP and other protocols. Scenarios are written in regular Python, then run from a command line or web interface that shows throughput, response times, errors, and progress while the test runs. You can change load during execution, distribute tests across machines, export results, and add clients for other systems. It runs on Linux, macOS, Windows, web, API, and self-hosted environments, with optional OpenTelemetry exports and a hosted Azure Load Testing path.

Readers may want another tool when Python authoring is a poor fit, a protocol needs built-in support, or browser, mobile, database, or production-traffic workflows matter more. Locust's automatic OpenTelemetry instrumentation currently covers the requests library, and less common protocols may require added clients or community extensions. When switching, compare authoring methods, protocol and browser coverage, execution controls, reporting, integrations, deployment, support, and whether a free plan or paid service matches your operating needs.
