Instead of JACK Audio Connection Kit
JACK Audio Connection Kit alternatives
JACK Audio Connection Kit links audio and MIDI applications through a sound server designed for synchronous work and low-latency connections. It lets clients share audio and connect to an audio device, and its callback-and-port model gives applications a way to send and receive data. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, and compatible applications include Audacity, Ardour, Blender, Mixxx, QjackCtl, and VLC. JACK is free software, with a GPL server and an LGPL library that proprietary programs can link against.

JACK focuses on connections, not effects: it has no noise reduction, equalizer, or virtual surround. That leaves room for alternatives that combine routing with processing, recording, or creator-oriented mixing. Their trade-offs differ. Some require PipeWire, some work only on Linux or Windows and macOS, and one is aimed at spatial game audio rather than application routing. Before switching, weigh your operating system, audio sources and outputs, and whether you need effects or independent mixes in addition to connections.
