What 3DMark is

3DMark is benchmark software for testing computer and mobile hardware across GPU graphics, CPU performance, ray tracing, API performance, and stability stress workloads. It supports PC, Mac, notebooks, tablets, and smartphones, with Windows, Android, iOS, and macOS availability. The software scans hardware and recommends a suitable benchmark, while custom profiles and adjustable resolution or quality settings change test demands. Results can be compared with systems using the same CPU and GPU combination, and some scores can be compared across Windows, Android, and iOS. Selected tests estimate frame rates in popular games. Monitoring charts show CPU and GPU temperatures, clock speeds, and frame rate. The suite includes ray-tracing tests for high-end, lightweight, and mobile devices, six CPU Profile thread-count tests, and feature tests for DirectStorage, Mesh Shaders, PCI Express, VRS, FSR, and DLSS. Steam buyers can install selected tests, while separate storage DLC tests SSD and other storage performance. XML export and CLI automation are available.
