Choose by the games you want to play, not by a headline catalog count. GeForce NOW streams supported games from connected PC storefront accounts; Xbox Cloud Gaming gives eligible Game Pass members access to cloud-playable titles and offers selected free-to-play games; Amazon Luna combines Prime-associated games with other Luna offerings that vary by country and membership. Before subscribing, check your exact games, country, device and preferred way to control them.
How the three services differ
These services all stream games, but they do not give you the same kind of library. That distinction is the most useful starting point if you are asking, “Can I play the games I already own?” With GeForce NOW, the answer depends on whether a game is supported and available through a connected store account. Xbox Cloud Gaming centers on access to eligible Game Pass games, with selected free-to-play titles as an exception. Luna offers games through Prime-associated benefits and other Luna tiers, with its catalog and benefits varying by country and membership.

In practical terms, GeForce NOW is the closest match for someone who wants to stream supported games from their PC library. Xbox Cloud Gaming is a fit for someone whose desired games are available through an eligible Game Pass plan. Luna makes sense for someone who likes the current local Luna offering, including any Prime-associated access they are eligible for. None of those descriptions guarantees access to a particular title: check the current catalog or supported-game listing before deciding.
| Service | How access works | Likely fit |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Luna | Prime-associated cloud games and other Luna tiers; offerings vary by country and membership. | A Prime member in a country with Luna cloud gaming who likes the current catalog and has a supported device. |
| GeForce NOW | Streams supported games from connected storefront accounts. In most cases, you need to own the game or use a supported free-to-play title. | A player with a PC library that includes games currently supported by the service. |
| Xbox Cloud Gaming | Cloud access to eligible games through Game Pass, plus selected free-to-play games in supported regions with a free Microsoft account. | A player whose desired games are in the eligible catalog and who has a supported device. |
Check game access before comparing catalogs
A service’s total game count is not a reliable shortcut to the question of whether you can play your own games. The important details are title-by-title availability, how you obtain access and whether that access applies to your region and tier.

GeForce NOW: supported does not mean every PC game
NVIDIA reports more than 4,500 supported games on its GeForce NOW FAQ. That is a vendor-reported count, and the FAQ page’s date was not stated in the information available here. The count can change; it should not be read as a promise that every game in your PC account is streamable. NVIDIA groups supported games into Ready-to-Play and Install-to-Play categories, and you still need to check the particular title and connect the relevant storefront account. In most cases, the game must be yours, unless it is a supported free-to-play title.
This model can be attractive if you have already bought PC games and want to keep using the accounts where you own them. The important caveat is that ownership alone is not enough: confirm that the specific game is supported by GeForce NOW and available through the store account you intend to use.
Xbox Cloud Gaming: eligible subscription access, with a free-to-play exception
Xbox Cloud Gaming is tied to eligible Game Pass access for its subscription catalog. The Xbox cloud-play page also describes selected free-to-play games that can be played with a free Microsoft account in supported regions. A game you bought for PC or console is not automatically part of the cloud catalog just because you own it; check its eligibility and the terms for your account and region.
When comparing Xbox with the other services, focus on the actual Game Pass titles you want, rather than assuming that access to a subscription catalog covers every game from the wider Xbox ecosystem. Catalog eligibility and subscription terms are subject to change, so use the current Xbox page for your country and plan.

Luna: check the local offer and the membership behind it
Luna’s offerings differ according to Prime membership, country and additional tiers. Amazon announced more than 60 games in Luna Standard on September 21, 2026. Treat that as an announcement figure, not a permanent or independently verified current catalog count: availability can change, and the number does not establish that a particular game is included where you live.
Amazon announced more than 25 GameNight games on October 23, 2025. That is historical announcement context, not a verified current count. If a particular game or feature matters to your decision, confirm it in the live Luna catalog rather than relying on an earlier announcement.

Country availability can change which service is a real option, and Luna draws a particularly important distinction between full cloud gaming and claimable Prime games. Amazon’s country page lists the following markets for Luna cloud gaming. It lists a separate group where customers can claim Prime games but do not receive Luna cloud gaming. These are the countries on the retrieved page and should be checked against Amazon’s current availability information before subscribing.
| Amazon Luna availability listed | Countries |
|---|---|
| Full Luna cloud gaming | United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Portugal and Luxembourg. |
| Claimable Prime games, without Luna cloud gaming | Australia, Brazil, Egypt, India, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and South Africa. |
Amazon says benefits and cloud availability vary by residence and Prime membership country. If your country appears only in the claimable-games group, do not assume that you can stream Luna games there. NVIDIA describes availability in North America, Europe, Japan and India through NVIDIA, with other regions served by GeForce NOW Alliance partners. Xbox also limits cloud play by supported game and region. For all three, check the provider’s current local availability before paying for a subscription or arranging a setup.

Confirm the exact device and input method
A service being available on “TVs,” “phones” or “computers” does not confirm that your particular model, operating system, browser or controller will work. Check the official device list for your exact setup. The provider pages describe broad device categories, but model support can differ within those categories.
Amazon Luna devices
Amazon lists browser play on PC, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad and Android, with different browsers by device: Chrome for PC, Mac and Chromebook; Edge for PC and Mac; Safari for iPhone and iPad; and Chrome for Android. Its compatibility information also lists Fire TV, Fire Tablets from the 2018 release or later, and select Samsung and LG televisions. The page specifies minimum browser and operating-system versions, so check those requirements for your particular device rather than assuming any browser version will work.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAmazon lists a minimum internet speed of 10 Mbps for streaming. That is a stated threshold, not a guarantee of low latency or smooth gameplay. Amazon recommends wired Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi for best performance. Luna documents browser and phone-based options, so a dedicated Luna controller is not a universal prerequisite; confirm the input requirements for the game and device you plan to use.
GeForce NOW devices
NVIDIA lists computers, mobile devices, select televisions, Steam Deck, VR headsets and Linux PCs among supported endpoints. That range may suit someone who wants to use an existing computer or another listed device, but the category list does not establish that every model or configuration works. Check NVIDIA’s current compatibility information for your exact device, operating system and region.

GeForce NOW’s service availability may involve NVIDIA or a regional Alliance partner. If you are outside the regions NVIDIA serves directly, check the current local service information rather than assuming that the NVIDIA experience, availability or terms apply unchanged.
Xbox Cloud Gaming devices
Xbox lists Windows PCs; Apple and Android phones and tablets; Xbox consoles; select LG, Samsung and VIDAA smart TVs; Fire TV; and select Meta Quest headsets. Xbox says a compatible Bluetooth or USB controller is needed for console games, while controller and other input support varies by game. Check the individual title’s input options before buying a controller or relying on touch or another input method.

For any service, make a short compatibility check before subscribing: identify the exact screen, confirm the operating system and browser where relevant, and check what input the games you want support. A broad device-category match is a starting point, not proof of compatibility.

Best Value
- Multi-Platform PC Gaming Controller: Working with Switch, PC, Android, and iOS devices via Bluetooth, wired, and wireless dongle connections.
- Hall Effect Joysticks: Delivering enhanced recentering performance for smoother control and superior anti-drift capability. Plus, with anti-friction rings.
- 2-Way Trigger Lock: With trigger stops, gamers can toggle between short and long pull positions. Additionally, gamers can activate hair trigger mode by pressing M+LT/RT (triggers must be in the long pull position).
- 1000Hz Polling Rate: This ensures that your inputs are registered almost instantaneously, minimizing lag and maximizing your performance during competitive play.
- Mechanical Circular D-pad: Designed for quick reactions and accuracy in every direction, this D-pad elevates your gaming experience with superior responsiveness.
- Write down the games you care about. Use named titles, not a general preference such as “a big library.” Look each one up in the provider’s current catalog or supported-game listing.
- Identify how you would get access. For each title, note whether it is included in the relevant Luna offer, available through an eligible Game Pass plan, or supported through a PC storefront account you own or can use. Do not treat an existing PC purchase as proof that a title is streamable on GeForce NOW.
- Check your country. Confirm that cloud gaming, not merely a related benefit such as claimable games, is available to you. Check the title and plan in your local market as well.
- Match the exact device and controls. Verify the model, operating system and browser if applicable. Then check whether your preferred controller or other input works with the specific games you plan to play.
- Review the current plan and its limits. Compare the relevant local subscription, session or performance limits, and any other benefits you value. Plans and terms can vary, so use current provider information for your market.
- Check your connection and test your setup where possible. Luna states a 10 Mbps minimum and recommends Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. That minimum does not guarantee a responsive stream. The information here does not establish directly comparable network thresholds for GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming, so consult their current requirements rather than inferring equivalence.
Prices are not compared here: there is no fully comparable current price set across all three services and markets. A meaningful price comparison needs the country, current plan, included access and any limits that matter to you. Check the official local plan pages at the time you decide, rather than treating one market’s price or tier as universal.
Choose the service that matches your situation
Choose GeForce NOW when your supported PC library is the deciding factor
Start with GeForce NOW if the games you already own are central to the decision. Its storefront-account model can be a match when your named games are supported and available through a connected store. Verify each one: neither the size of NVIDIA’s reported supported-game count nor a game’s presence in your PC account guarantees access to that game through the service.
Choose Xbox Cloud Gaming when eligible Game Pass access covers your shortlist
Xbox Cloud Gaming is a sensible candidate when the games you want are in its eligible Game Pass catalog and your plan, location and devices support cloud play. Selected free-to-play games provide an additional route for supported users with a free Microsoft account. Check which of your specific games qualify; do not assume that subscription access or ownership elsewhere makes a title cloud-playable.
Choose Luna when its local catalog and your setup work together
Luna may fit a Prime member who lives in a full cloud-gaming country, likes the current offer and has a compatible screen. The presence of Prime-related games alone is not sufficient if your country is listed only for claimable games. Check the local tier and catalog, then confirm your device and the games’ input requirements.
If none of the services covers enough of your shortlist, do not subscribe based on a broad promise of “thousands of games.” Recheck the titles you care about, the way each service grants access and whether it works on the device you intend to use. Those facts—not a single universal ranking—determine which option fits.
What to recheck because it can change
Cloud-game catalogs, supported devices, geographic availability, subscription tiers and terms are not fixed. Amazon’s terms say device compatibility and geographic availability can change; NVIDIA directs users to current membership and game information. Before subscribing or buying an accessory, verify the following on the providers’ current pages:
