Seedance 2.5 can add an AI generation and revision stage to a creator’s existing video process: ByteDance says it can generate clips up to 30 seconds in one pass, work from image, video, and audio references, and support targeted edits and extensions. That makes it a possible companion to footage captured on an iPhone and projects finished on a Mac—but the available documentation does not verify a native iPhone or Mac app, Apple-specific file handoff, or access in every region. Treat the workflow below as a practical proposal, not a confirmed Apple integration.
What is Seedance 2.5, and where does it fit?
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance’s audio-video joint-generation model. ByteDance’s July 31, 2026 announcement describes it as a tool for longer storytelling, multimodal reference inputs, and targeted editing. Its official project page frames it as a model for 30-second storytelling with reference control and editing. Those are product capabilities, not independent performance-test results.

For a creator who already shoots and edits, the useful mental model is a new production stage rather than a replacement for the whole workflow. Existing devices and apps can remain responsible for capturing source material and assembling the finished project. Seedance 2.5 may be used to generate or revise a shot in a platform that offers the model, after which the creator can bring the resulting file into the editor they already use. That division of work is an editorial workflow suggestion; the cited sources do not establish an automatic connection to iPhone Photos, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or another Apple app.
ByteDance says one generation can be up to 30 seconds and can draw on up to 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio clips as references in a single pass. The model also supports multiple extensions, while its project page says an output can be extended twice. ByteDance describes timestamp-level control for targeted edits. Read these as the stated capabilities and limits of the model—not a promise that every service exposing Seedance 2.5 presents identical controls or accepts every asset in the same way.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
How do I add Seedance 2.5 to my video workflow?
Start with the project’s creative need, not with the model. Decide whether you need a generated shot, a variation informed by existing material, or a revision to a particular moment. Then check whether an access platform available to your account and region exposes Seedance 2.5 and the inputs or controls your task requires.
- Capture or select your material. Use your normal camera and audio tools to create or choose the visuals and sound you may want to reference. Keep the originals in your established project storage; this makes it possible to continue editing even if a generation is not useful.
- Confirm access through a specific service. ByteDance’s July 31, 2026 launch post named Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro as access routes and said API access through BytePlus ModelArk was coming soon at that time. Those are dated launch details, not a guarantee of present access. Check the service’s current model list, country availability, account requirements, and input rules before planning around it. ByteDance’s launch announcement is the source for those launch statements.
- Choose references intentionally. If you want the generated result to reflect existing material, select the images, video clips, or audio clips that matter to the shot. ByteDance documents reference inputs; Runway’s separate implementation documents a Reference mode that combines image, video, and audio inputs. A reference workflow is not the same as a verified Apple-library connection: assume you will need to upload or otherwise provide assets through the selected service’s own interface unless its current instructions say otherwise.
- Generate a short, reviewable shot. Treat the model output as a candidate clip, not a finished sequence. Review whether it serves the scene, whether the reference material appears to have been used as intended, and whether its duration and framing will work in the surrounding edit. The cited material does not establish that the model will preserve every detail of a supplied reference.
- Revise with the controls the service actually offers. ByteDance describes timestamp-level edits and extensions. Runway documents distinct Reference, Keyframe, Edit, and Extend modes; these are Runway’s controls, not a universal Seedance interface. Select the mode appropriate to the task only after checking the instructions displayed by the service you use.
- Export and finish in your existing editor. Runway’s documentation lists MP4 and MOV outputs, with 480p, 720p, and 1080p resolutions and either 4–30 seconds or Auto duration. These are Runway settings, not guaranteed output options on every Seedance platform. Check the chosen service’s export settings and account limits, then verify the resulting file in the editor where you plan to finish the project.
This sequence separates creation from finishing. It also limits the risk of building a project around a control, export type, or regional access route that the selected service does not provide.

Can I use Seedance 2.5 on iPhone or Mac?
The available sources do not confirm a native iPhone app, a native Mac app, a particular browser-based experience, or a direct Apple-app handoff. They establish model access through named platforms and document a separate Runway implementation, but they do not verify how those services behave on a particular Apple device, in a particular browser, or in a specific country.
That does not answer whether a particular person can access a service from an iPhone or Mac today. It means device compatibility must be checked at the service level rather than inferred from the model name. Before committing a project, verify the service’s current app or browser support, whether your account can select Seedance 2.5, its regional availability, and the allowed upload and export formats. If your finishing editor is on a Mac, test the exported file in that editor before depending on it for a deadline. The reviewed documentation does not provide Apple-specific instructions for Photos, AirDrop, iMovie, or Final Cut Pro, so those steps should not be presented as established Seedance features.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
In practical terms, iPhone and Mac can remain the devices you use for ordinary capture and editing, while a supported service acts as a separate generation stage if it is accessible to you. Whether that stage is convenient on either device depends on the platform’s current interface and account rules. The model’s capabilities alone do not prove a seamless Apple workflow.
What can Seedance 2.5 do with image, video, and audio references?
ByteDance states that a single pass can use up to 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio clips as references. The value of those inputs is that a creator can bring existing visual or audio material into a generation rather than treating each output as an entirely isolated request. The source does not specify that every platform accepts all three media types in every mode, so check the interface and limits where you plan to create.

This is an example of how to organize inputs, not a claim that the model will copy or preserve each reference exactly. A practical way to keep the process manageable is to decide what role each asset plays before uploading it. If a result is off target, identify whether the issue is the visual direction, motion, sound, or timing before changing references or generating another version.
Reference counts are maximums stated by ByteDance for one pass, not recommendations to use the full allowance. A smaller, clearly selected set can make it easier for the creator to reason about what was provided and to evaluate the resulting shot. Account-specific upload limits, accepted formats, and other platform restrictions may be narrower than the model’s stated reference capacity.

How do editing and extensions work?
ByteDance describes timestamp-level control for targeted edits and says the model supports multiple extensions; its project page specifies that an output can be extended twice. These capabilities can support a revise-and-continue workflow, but they do not mean every service presents the same edit panel or that an extension will preserve every detail of the preceding material.
Runway’s documentation separates Reference, Keyframe, Edit, and Extend modes. It also describes behavior for source video. These details are useful if Runway is the chosen access route, but they should not be generalized to Jimeng AI, Doubao Pro, BytePlus ModelArk, or other services without their own current documentation. In particular, the names of modes indicate that different creation paths exist; they are not by themselves a complete specification of how to use them.
A restrained revision loop helps preserve editorial control:
- Review the generated clip against the intended shot and mark the moment that needs attention.
- Use a timestamp-oriented control only if the selected platform exposes and documents it.
- Use an extension when the scene needs more material and the service still permits the extension; ByteDance’s product page states a limit of two extensions.
- Keep the original generation and any useful alternatives until the edit is approved. The source documentation does not establish that a revision replaces or retains earlier outputs in the same way across platforms.
For Runway specifically, its documentation lists 4–30 seconds or Auto duration, 480p, 720p, or 1080p, and MP4 or MOV output. Those choices can help a creator plan a test export, but final suitability depends on the project’s own delivery requirements. The documentation summarized here does not establish that the same duration, resolution, or file-format options are available on every Seedance 2.5 route.

Which Seedance 2.5 access route should I check?
There are at least two documented categories of access in the available material: routes named by ByteDance at launch and a separate Runway integration. The sources do not provide a like-for-like comparison of every service, so the right choice is the one whose current availability, controls, and export path fit the project.
| Route | What the source establishes | What to verify before using it |
|---|---|---|
| Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro | ByteDance named these as access routes in its July 31, 2026 launch announcement. | Current model availability for your account and country, supported reference inputs, generation and revision controls, export options, and any account limits. The cited launch announcement does not establish a complete current specification for either route. |
| BytePlus ModelArk API | ByteDance said API access through ModelArk was coming soon in the July 31, 2026 announcement. | Whether access has since launched for your use case, the current API terms and limits, and the technical setup needed. The launch statement is time-specific and does not confirm present availability. |
| Runway | Runway documents a Seedance 2.5 integration, Reference, Keyframe, Edit, and Extend modes, and service-specific duration, resolution, and MP4/MOV export options. | Whether the model is available to your account, the current credit or subscription terms, accepted assets, and your intended export settings. Runway’s controls and costs apply to Runway, not to Seedance 2.5 universally. |
Runway’s help article is the source for its documented modes and export settings: Creating with Seedance 2.5. The documentation cited here does not establish a universal Seedance price or credit schedule. Any credits or subscription requirements should be checked against the selected service’s current terms, rather than extrapolated from another platform.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhat should I check before moving a generated clip into an Apple editing project?
Because the sources do not establish Apple-specific handoff steps, treat file transfer and compatibility as part of your own project check rather than a built-in Seedance workflow. Confirm the export type and resolution in the service, then test the actual file in the editor and destination workflow you intend to use.
- File type: Runway lists MP4 and MOV; other routes may differ. Confirm what your service actually exports.
- Resolution and duration: Match the available export settings to the needs of your edit. Runway lists 480p, 720p, and 1080p and either 4–30 seconds or Auto; these are not universal model guarantees.
- Framing: Check the service’s current output controls and inspect the resulting frame. The cited material does not state a universal aspect-ratio setting.
- Account and regional access: Verify that the model and required controls are available before promising a delivery date.
- Project continuity: Retain original capture assets and treat generated clips as additional source material, so a generation or export issue does not block work on the rest of the edit.
These checks are especially important when a project depends on a particular delivery specification. The available documentation gives specific Runway export options, but does not verify a complete workflow through iMovie or Final Cut Pro or guarantee that files from every access route will suit a particular Apple project.

What is established—and what is not?
ByteDance’s public material establishes a set of model specifications: up to 30 seconds in one pass, stated reference capacity for images, video, and audio, timestamp-level editing, and up to two extensions according to the project page. Runway separately documents its own modes and output options. None of those product statements is an independent measure of output quality or a guarantee that a particular clip will meet a creator’s brief.
The reviewed sources also do not settle native iPhone or Mac support, Apple-specific transfer instructions, universal country availability, or one pricing scheme across services. That distinction matters: a model can have documented features while the experience available to a given creator still depends on the platform, region, account, and export path. Confirm those details in the service you intend to use, then treat Seedance 2.5 as a possible generation-and-revision stage alongside—not a replacement for—your established capture and editing workflow.
