There is no published, fixed daily stream-creation quota specifically for Indian channels—or for streams made from pre-recorded playlists. YouTube does publish a separate cap of 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key at a time. Eligibility and daily feature access depend on the channel’s status and access level, so check the current limits shown in YouTube Studio before planning a schedule.
Which YouTube live-stream limits apply?
“Limit” can refer to several different controls. They are not interchangeable, and a pre-recorded playlist does not have a documented exemption from them.

| Limit or control | What YouTube says | What it means for a playlist stream |
|---|---|---|
| Daily stream creation | YouTube limits how many live streams a channel can create in a 24-hour period, but its public help page does not state one universal number. (YouTube Help: Live streaming error messages) | Do not assume that starting or scheduling another playlist broadcast is exempt. If YouTube reports that the limit has been reached, its guidance is to try again in 24 hours. |
| Daily feature access | Computer livestreaming has a limited daily limit at intermediate access and a higher daily limit at advanced access. The feature-access page does not give a single count that applies to every channel. (YouTube Help: Feature access) | This is a feature-access control, distinct from the 24-hour stream-creation limit. |
| Simultaneous active streams | Up to 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. (YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming) | Starting more streams is blocked when either applicable active-stream cap is reached. |
| Duration and archive | Streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. (YouTube Help: Archive live streams) | This is an archive caveat, not a stated universal maximum broadcast duration. |
Check your Indian channel’s eligibility and access
- Confirm basic livestream eligibility. YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Creators must be at least 16 years old. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Review feature access in Studio. Open YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility. Check whether computer livestreaming is available and what access level and daily limit YouTube currently shows for your channel.
- Check the India-localized feature-access information. YouTube describes computer livestreaming as having a limited daily limit with intermediate access and a higher daily limit with advanced access. Higher limits are available through channel history or identity verification, subject to eligibility. If you hit a feature limit, YouTube says to wait 24 hours before using that feature again. (Feature access and limits)
- Distinguish a Studio limit message from the simultaneous cap. A message about creating too many streams in 24 hours is not the same as having 10 streams active on the channel or 3 active on a stream key. Follow the message YouTube shows; its public error guidance does not publish a universal daily creation count. (Live streaming error messages)
Does sending a pre-recorded playlist change the limits?
YouTube’s encoder guidance shows that prerecorded media can be scheduled and sent as a live broadcast; it names the AJA HELO Plus with PlayToStream as one hardware example. That is an available product workflow, not a requirement to buy that device. (YouTube Help: Encoder streaming)

Check the same channel-level eligibility and limit information in Studio whether you use an encoder, a scheduled hardware workflow, or another supported setup.

Also distinguish a creator’s encoder transmitting prerecorded items as a live broadcast from a viewer looping a YouTube playlist during playback. Viewer-side playlist looping does not itself establish permission to broadcast that material live or change the channel’s limits.
How long can the broadcast run, and will YouTube save it?
YouTube’s archive guidance says a stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while one exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. This concerns whether the replay is preserved; it does not say every live broadcast must stop at the 12-hour mark. (Archive live streams)

Copyright and policy still apply to playlist content
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content matches. If it identifies content, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the creator to stop using it; if the content remains, the stream can be interrupted or terminated. Even with a licence, a rights holder may need to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist to prevent interruptions. (YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams)

Having a copy of a video or playlist does not automatically give you the rights to broadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms make providers responsible for having the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of live content and for complying with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. (YouTube Terms of Service)
Policy restrictions can also affect livestreaming. YouTube describes restrictions related to age, Community Guidelines, copyright, and made-for-kids content; for example, features such as live chat and personalized ads can be limited for content marked made for kids. A channel restriction is not avoided by attempting to stream from another channel. (Live streaming error messages)

Keep a YouTube playlist live without leaving a computer on
For a do-it-yourself setup, use an encoder or supported scheduled-playback workflow to send the prerecorded media to YouTube Live. YouTube’s guide gives the AJA HELO Plus with PlayToStream as one example of hardware that can schedule prerecorded media without a computer; it is an example, not a platform requirement. Whatever method you use, verify eligibility and current channel limits in Studio, and secure the rights to everything in the playlist.
Or let it run in the cloud

Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. It is for YouTube streams from uploaded videos, not camera broadcasts; YouTube’s own eligibility, rights and channel limits still apply. Start the free first day with StreamNeo.
