For a 720p Marathi devotional video loop, start with 1280×720 progressive video at 30 fps, H.264, CBR, an 8 Mbps video bitrate, and a two-second keyframe interval. Use RTMPS when your encoder supports it. For stereo audio, set AAC or MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps. These settings are a practical baseline for a mostly static loop—not a Marathi-specific profile from YouTube.

Choose a bitrate that your connection can sustain
At 720p, YouTube lists these live-ingestion video bitrate values:

These are YouTube’s listed live-ingestion figures, not guarantees that a particular internet connection will deliver a stable stream. YouTube recommends checking available upload bitrate and testing with audio and movement similar to the real broadcast. Aim for a reliably sustained connection at your selected stream bitrate rather than choosing a value that your connection can only reach intermittently.

For a mostly static devotional loop, 30 fps is usually a reasonable place to begin. If the video contains motion that visibly benefits from 60 fps, test that version and choose a bitrate your connection can maintain. YouTube lists no Marathi-specific encoder profile; configure the stream according to its resolution, frame rate, codec, audio, and connection.
Configure the encoder and YouTube stream
- Open YouTube Live Control Room. Start or schedule the live stream and use its stream setup details. YouTube recommends automatic resolution and frame-rate detection by default. If you need to lock output to 720p, create a custom stream key and enable manual settings under Stream Resolution. See Manage live stream settings.
- Choose the ingest protocol and URL. Select the RTMPS URL in Live Control Room and enter the corresponding stream key in your encoder. RTMPS is RTMP over a TLS/SSL connection. YouTube says, “We recommend streaming to YouTube Live with RTMPS, a secure extension to the popular RTMP streaming video protocol.” See Encrypt your stream using RTMPS.
- Set video output. Choose 1280×720 progressive, 30 fps, H.264, CBR, 8 Mbps, and a two-second keyframe interval. Keep pixels square and use Rec. 709 for SDR. If your source genuinely needs 60 fps, test it and verify the connection can reliably carry the chosen bitrate.
- Set audio output. Choose stereo AAC or MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps, then play the actual loop and listen for silence, clipping, imbalance, or unwanted background audio.
- Preview before starting. Check the incoming signal and audio in Live Control Room. Test the same kind of motion and sound expected in the actual loop. YouTube’s live streaming tips recommend testing and monitoring stream health and audio/video quality.
- Start the stream and monitor it. Watch Live Control Room’s stream health and confirm that the picture and audio remain correct after going live. Keep the stream key private; reset it in Live Control Room if you believe it has been exposed.
Latency and DVR for a devotional loop
Latency is the delay between capture by the encoder or camera and playback for viewers. Lower latency can increase playback buffering, and it matters less when the creator is not interacting with the audience. For a one-way devotional loop, there is usually little reason to choose an aggressive low-latency mode. Enable DVR if viewers should be able to pause or rewind while the live stream continues. YouTube explains these settings in Manage live stream settings.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
- Stream health is unstable or the broadcast buffers: The upload connection may not sustain the configured bitrate. Check upload bitrate, test under the conditions expected during the broadcast, and lower the video bitrate or frame rate if necessary.
- YouTube does not receive the encoder signal: Confirm that you copied the RTMPS URL and matching stream key from Live Control Room, and that the encoder is configured for RTMPS. Do not assume the ordinary RTMP URL is the secure endpoint.
- The stream is not fixed at 720p: YouTube normally recommends automatic resolution and frame-rate detection. For a fixed 720p signal, use a custom stream key and enable manual settings under Stream Resolution.
- Audio is missing or wrong: Preview the actual loop and verify that the encoder is sending stereo audio at the selected sample rate and bitrate. Test with the same audio content planned for the broadcast.
- The stream key may have been exposed: Reset it in Live Control Room, then update the encoder with the replacement key.
