YouTube says the keyframe interval should not exceed four seconds, and its troubleshooting guidance identifies an incorrect interval as a possible cause of stream problems. The two-second setting is a suitable starting point.

YouTube’s table lists 6 Mbps recommended and 2 Mbps minimum for AV1/H.265 at 720p30. These codecs are alternatives only if your encoder supports them reliably. H.264 is the straightforward compatibility-first choice; do not switch codecs just to lower the bitrate without testing the full encoder-to-YouTube path.

How much Airtel Xstream Fiber upload speed you need
The 8 Mbps video plus 128 kbps audio profile totals about 8.13 Mbps before protocol overhead. YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload headroom, which implies roughly 10.2 Mbps of consistently available upload capacity for this profile. This is a calculation from YouTube’s guidance, not a guaranteed threshold for every encoder or connection. YouTube’s advice is at Streaming tips.
- Measure upload speed at the location and time you will stream, with the encoder and network arrangement you intend to use.
- Do not judge readiness by download speed: upload capacity may be lower.
- Allow more margin if other people or devices share the connection; their use can reduce the bandwidth available to your stream.
- If you cannot sustain the target with headroom, lower the video bitrate or resolution and retest rather than using the entire measured upload capacity.
Airtel’s broadband pages show “up to” speeds, and actual speed depends on the subscribed tariff. Airtel’s current ₹999 fiber plan page advertises up to 100 Mbps upload and download, with availability varying by location. Set up and test the loop before going public
- Configure the encoder. Enter the profile above, using the H.264 8 Mbps recommendation as the starting point. Confirm that the output is 1280×720 progressive at 30 fps, not an interlaced or different frame-rate signal.
- Use a reliable network path. Connect the encoder to the most reliable available network. A wired Ethernet connection to the router is a reasonable option when practical, but YouTube does not require Ethernet. Check that the computer and router have compatible ports or use an appropriate adapter.
- Start a private or unlisted test, if practical. Verify that YouTube receives the stream at 720p30, that Marathi audio is clear and in sync, and that the video loops as intended.
- Check YouTube stream health. Review the dashboard’s stream-health status and messages during the test and broadcast. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the actual event; a static loop may be less visually demanding, but that is not a reason by itself to reduce the recommended bitrate.
- Adjust and repeat if needed. If the stream health reports instability or the connection cannot sustain the bitrate with headroom, reduce bitrate or resolution, then run another test before making the stream public.

Copyright and loop-specific checks
A Marathi song, recording, or video must be cleared for the way you plan to use it; language and the fact that footage is looped do not establish permission. Before broadcasting, check that you have the necessary rights to the video, music, and any other included material. YouTube may identify copyrighted content during a live stream, so monitor dashboard notices and be prepared to stop or replace material if a rights issue appears. Do not treat a private test as proof that a public broadcast is cleared.
Also listen to the complete loop, including its beginning-to-end transition. Check for silence, abrupt cuts, clipped sound, or audio drift that could become distracting when repeated. The stream’s bitrate requirements are determined by the encoder profile and connection, not by whether the narration or song is in Marathi.
