The MU68’s 68-key ANSI US layout is intended to save desk space compared with larger boards. A compact layout also means that some actions may require a function layer rather than a dedicated key. Whether that trade-off works depends on the exact keys you use: check the layout image and configuration documentation, and consider whether you regularly rely on dedicated navigation or other keys.

Do not compare keyboards by percentage label alone. Check actual key count, ANSI versus other layouts, which keys are physically present, and which actions require layers. Two boards marketed as compact can behave differently in daily use.

If wireless mode will not connect
XVX’s product FAQ says to turn on the power switch before pairing in 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth mode. It locates the switch under the Caps Lock key. This is the manufacturer’s setup guidance, not a tested diagnosis of every connection issue. See the official MU68 product page for the instructions.

The MU68 listing states that its switches are hot-swappable and that it supports VIA web-based configuration, with a configuration file available from XVX. Those features offer ways to change switches and adjust the keymap, but they do not establish compatibility with every third-party switch or guarantee a particular mapping. Check the switch socket and the relevant configuration file before buying replacement switches or planning a keymap.

Build and feel: consider the materials, not just the feature list
The walnut case, MOA-profile PBT keycaps, and supplied linear switches define the MU68’s stated materials and configuration. They may suit buyers who want those particular materials and a linear switch, but specifications alone cannot establish that the keyboard sounds or feels better than another model. XVX also says wood color, grain, and pattern can vary between batches, and that these natural differences are not defects covered by its after-sales service. Buyers who want a uniform wood appearance should take that policy into account.

Value depends on your region and priorities
A surfaced regional XVX listing showed £40.34 against £67.22 and marked the Global Stock variant as backordered; another storefront showed a different regional price. These are snapshots, not stable prices or proof that the MU68 is a value leader.
