Return to Morkvarg and choose the dialogue option to give him the fang. If that option is unavailable, feed him werewolf meat looted from his body instead.
Start “In Wolf’s Clothing” and find Morkvarg
The secondary quest takes place in Skellige, around Freya’s Garden and Larvik. Josta at the Temple of Freya provides the quest context; the quest can also appear through related main-quest progress or a notice board in Larvik.

Go into Freya’s Garden and encounter Morkvarg. Fight until you can interact with him and hear about his curse and hunger. He returns if killed, so if you want to keep the fallback resolution available, loot the werewolf meat from his body before leaving.

Find the clue that leads to Einar
Use Witcher Senses to investigate the garden and follow the clue to a flooded cave beneath Morkvarg’s lair. Find the key there, use it to open the chapter house, and read Morkvarg’s journal. The journal reveals that Einar, who gave Geralt a misleading account of the curse, was part of Morkvarg’s crew.

Get the fang from Einar in Larvik
Confront Einar in Larvik and show him that you know he lied. Let him explain what happened: he says he cut Morkvarg during the raid with his father’s rune-carved wolf fang. Hear this explanation before taking the fang. The dialogue is important: merely possessing the item may not unlock the option to give it to Morkvarg.
Return to Morkvarg and use the fang
- Go back to Freya’s Garden and find Morkvarg.
- Fight him again until you can interact with him.
- Choose the dialogue option to give him the fang.
The fang lifts the curse and restores Morkvarg to human form. Afterward, you can kill him or ask for the reward he promised. Choosing the reward sends Geralt to a moneylender in the Bits district of Novigrad; the reward route is associated with Deithwen and a werewolf-decoction page.

If “give him the fang” does not appear
Check whether Geralt heard Einar explain that the fang caused the curse. If Einar was killed before giving that explanation, the fang option may remain unavailable even if you have the item.
Use Morkvarg’s werewolf meat as the alternative: return to him, defeat him, interact with him, and feed him the meat looted from his body. This resolves the encounter by killing him as a werewolf rather than lifting the curse and restoring his human form.
