MacRumors reported on October 4, 2026, that Amazon had Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 for $179, down from a cited $249 price—a $70 reduction. The report said the price matched a low MacRumors had tracked since around June, but it is a dated deal report, not a guarantee of today’s price or stock. Check the current Amazon listing before buying.
Is AirPods Pro 3 really $70 off?
According to MacRumors’s October 4, 2026 report, Amazon listed AirPods Pro 3 at $179 against a $249 comparison price. That is a $70 difference. MacRumors described $179 as a match of a low it had tracked since around June; reader comments on the report mention lower prices, so that description should not be taken as an undisputed all-time low.

- IP57 dust, sweat, and water resistance for the earbuds and charging case.
These are manufacturer-listed features, not independent performance measurements. IP57 is a resistance rating; it does not mean the earbuds or case are waterproof. Apple’s specification page names the capabilities but does not establish here which device, software version, language, or regional availability each one requires. Check Apple’s current compatibility information for the features you plan to use.
Are AirPods Pro 3 worth it at $179?
At the reported $179 price, the $70 reduction makes the offer more appealing if you want Apple’s noise-control, hearing, translation, and workout features and the earbuds suit your devices. The deal alone cannot establish whether they are the right choice for every buyer: that depends on your fit, compatibility needs, and priorities. MacRumors also reported Apple’s claim that AirPods Pro 3 offer twice the Active Noise Cancellation of the previous generation; that is a product claim reported by MacRumors, not an independent measurement.
