How much cheaper is the Moto G77 Power 5G?
On comparison pages accessed October 4, 2026, the Moto is listed at ₹25,580–₹25,597 and the Redmi at ₹27,999. That puts the observed gap at roughly ₹2,400, with the Redmi higher. These are volatile page snapshots, not confirmed matching-variant official prices: the displayed Redmi configuration is 6/128 GB, while the Moto listing is 8/128 GB. Check current listings and compare the same RAM and storage before deciding that one is cheaper value.
For a separate regional reference, Spain-market reporting published September 17, 2026 listed the Redmi Note 17 5G at €349.99 for 6/128 GB, €379.99 for 6/256 GB and €399.99 for 8/256 GB. Those euro prices are not India prices and should not be used as a direct comparison with the Moto’s India listings.

Which phone has the better display?
The Redmi has the more compelling published display specification: Xiaomi’s Germany page lists a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 2396 × 1080 resolution and refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Comparison pages list the Moto with a smaller 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD panel at 120 Hz. AMOLED technology can provide deeper-looking blacks because pixels can switch off individually; LCD uses a backlight. The specifications alone do not establish measured brightness, color accuracy or which screen looks better in person.
Xiaomi’s specifications are for its German product page, not proof that every market receives identical hardware. Battery and charging: Redmi leads on stated capacity
Comparison databases list an 8,000 mAh battery and 45 W charging for the Redmi, versus 7,000 mAh and 30 W for the Moto. Those figures give the Redmi the advantage on stated capacity and wired charging rate. They do not establish real-world battery life or charging time: usage, network conditions, software, temperature and charger availability all affect those results. The cited material does not establish what charger is included in each market’s box.
Camera versatility: Moto has the listed ultrawide
The database-reported camera layouts differ in a practical way. The Moto is listed with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide rear camera, plus a 32 MP front camera. The Redmi is listed with a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary rear camera, plus an 8 MP front camera. On paper, the Moto offers a wider-angle option for scenes that do not fit in a standard frame and a higher front-camera resolution. Megapixel counts do not establish image quality, low-light performance or camera processing, so a photo-quality winner cannot be determined from these figures alone.

Chipsets
Comparison sources identify the Redmi chipset as Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and the Moto chipset as MediaTek Dimensity 6400. The names alone are not enough to declare a speed or gaming winner; the cited material provides no comparable benchmark or hands-on performance test.
RAM and expandable storage
The displayed configurations differ: comparison pages show the Redmi with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, and the Moto with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Gadgets Now lists Moto storage expansion up to 1 TB. Xiaomi’s Germany specifications identify a hybrid SIM/microSD arrangement, meaning the card-sharing detail applies to that regional specification page. Confirm the exact configuration and slot arrangement for the device sold in your market.

Update commitments
Gadgets Now reports Android 16, four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for the Redmi, compared with Android 16, one year of OS updates and three years of security updates for the Moto. Those periods were not corroborated by manufacturer documentation in the available evidence. Treat them as attributed database claims rather than a confirmed support commitment; verify the exact model’s update policy with Xiaomi or Motorola before making long-term support a deciding factor.

Choose the Redmi Note 17 5G if…
- You prioritize the larger AMOLED display in Xiaomi’s published Germany specifications.
- The listed 8,000 mAh capacity and 45 W wired charging matter more to you than the Moto’s lower observed price.
- You value the longer update period reported by Gadgets Now, while recognizing that it still needs manufacturer confirmation.
Consider the Moto G77 Power 5G if…
- You want the listed 8 MP ultrawide camera or 32 MP front camera.
- The lower observed India price is more important, after checking current prices for equivalent RAM and storage.
- You are comfortable treating its display, camera, battery and other detailed figures as comparison-site listings until confirmed for the exact regional model.
Do not confuse the Redmi Note 17 5G with the Redmi 17 5G, or the Moto G77 Power 5G with the Moto G77. Motorola’s official India catalog lists the moto g77 power family, but its retrieved page did not expose a detailed specification sheet. Motorola Support US includes “moto g77 power” in a memory-card support list; that does not verify every specification attributed to the India model by comparison sites.
