How to decide without a comfort test
- Choose the Nano when your current controller feels too long, your thumbs have to stretch to reach controls, or you regularly carry a controller in a small bag.
- Choose the standard controller when you already like the familiar Xbox grip and want the textured surfaces described by Microsoft.

Microsoft rates it for up to 40 hours and notes that battery life varies; the figure comes from preproduction testing. “Up to” is a best-case published ceiling, not a promise that every pair of batteries will last 40 hours in every game or setting.

Optional rechargeable power for the standard model
