If the Wrestling Belt relic is not appearing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, first verify the unlock conditions rather than searching the map at random. What the Wrestling Belt relic requires
The current unlock guidance, updated October 16, 2026, identifies the Wrestling Belt as a Totenreich relic. It is not a standard-Zombies reward and it does not become available simply because a player has accumulated enough kills in another mode.

The listed Wrestling Belt effect is “Weapon Wallbuys randomize each round.” That effect describes the relic’s gameplay behavior; it is not evidence that the relic has unlocked. Check the portal and the relic selection state separately.

Exact unlock route, in order
Follow the sequence below in one eligible progression attempt. The order matters because the magazine is a timing-sensitive trigger.
1. Start with the correct progression state
Use an account that has completed the Totenreich Main Quest. Enter Totenreich through a Cursed playlist. If either condition is missing, finishing weapon kills will not satisfy the Wrestling Belt’s stated eligibility rules.
2. Reach the top of the lighthouse through the Jotunn Star quest
Progress through the Jotunn Star quest until you reach the top of the lighthouse. Do not take the Jotunn Star immediately.
3. Pick up Mister Peeks before taking the star
Look for the Mister Peeks magazine on the box beside the Jotunn Star. Interact with the magazine first, confirm the pickup, and only then take the star. This is the easiest step to invalidate accidentally because the item is adjacent to the quest objective.

4. Buy every wall weapon and earn 50 kills with each
Purchase the complete wall-weapon set on the map and earn 50 kills with every weapon. Keep a written or captured list as you go; the game does not always make it obvious which weapon is still short.
The set includes three secret-room wall weapons:
- M34 Novaline
- AK-27
- Dravec-45
To reach those weapons, exit Tyr’s Head. You are randomly teleported to one of the secret rooms, where the hidden wall weapon can be purchased. Because the destination is random, you may need more than one trip to visit all three rooms. Treat each room as a separate weapon checkpoint and record the weapon name before leaving.
5. Complete the Jotunn Star’s separate 50-kill challenge
After the entire wall-weapon set is complete, earn 50 kills with the Jotunn Star itself. Do not count star kills made before the wall-weapon requirement was finished as proof that this final trigger has registered; the guide lists it as a separate step.

6. Check Eidskallen Square for the portal
Once the wall-weapon and Jotunn Star requirements are complete, travel to Eidskallen Square. That is the stated portal location. If there is no portal, stop and audit the requirements before repeating random map searches.

7. Prepare for the relic trial
The trial has four waves. At the end of each wave, your weapons are taken, so enter with a plan for replacing your loadout after every round. The trial’s weapon loss is an expected mechanic, not by itself evidence that the unlock failed.
Why the portal may not appear
The match is not an eligible Cursed Totenreich session
Standard Zombies or another map can allow ordinary kill progress while remaining outside the relic’s eligibility rules. Confirm the playlist and map on the match setup screen, not only from memory after loading in.
The Main Quest was completed on a different account
Relic access is checked against the account attempting the unlock. If you completed the Totenreich Main Quest in a party but are now using another account, verify the progression state on the account that is currently playing.
The magazine was collected too late
The magazine must be picked up before the Jotunn Star. Taking the star and then returning for Mister Peeks is not the documented order. If you cannot prove the timing, treat that attempt as suspect and repeat the sequence in a new match.

One of the hidden wall weapons is missing
Players often finish the obvious wall buys and overlook the M34 Novaline, AK-27, or Dravec-45. The Tyr’s Head exit can send you to a random secret room, so one visit does not prove that all three weapons were available or completed.
The Jotunn Star kills were done before the set was complete
The final 50-kill requirement is listed after the wall-weapon challenge. Keep the star step separate in your notes and begin its count only after the last wall weapon reaches the required total.
Kill attribution did not register as expected
Community reports describe completion messages that did not produce a persistent unlock and disagreements about which kills counted. Those reports are anecdotal and can vary by game version, so a popup alone is not conclusive proof. Record the weapon in hand, the kill counter, and the completion notification whenever possible.

- Reset the timing: in a new attempt, pick up Mister Peeks from the box beside the star before interacting with the Jotunn Star.
- Audit the weapon list: write down every wall weapon and its kill total. Include M34 Novaline, AK-27, and Dravec-45 from the secret rooms.
- Finish the set before the star: do not begin the separate Jotunn Star count until all wall weapons have reached 50 kills.
- Capture proof: save a clip or screenshots showing the map, Cursed mode, weapon names, kill totals, and the completion notification.
- Exfiltrate normally and check persistence: note whether the relic remains available after leaving the match. A one-session notification without persistent access should be documented as a possible tracking problem.
Updating the game and fully restarting the application before the fresh attempt is a practical troubleshooting step. It is not an Activision-confirmed Wrestling Belt-specific fix, so treat a successful restart as a useful workaround rather than an established patch.
How to audit an attempt or compare two guides
If one guide says the relic is unlocked and another says it is not, compare the actual conditions instead of comparing only the number of kills. The following audit separates the variables that can produce different results.

Patch history and what it means for this problem
Treyarch has previously fixed relic-related problems in Totenreich. Season 03 notes describe a Rocket Relic issue that could prevent progression of the Totenreich Main Quest. Those notes also document fixes involving relic display and selection in Cursed mode. This history shows that relic state and Cursed-mode presentation have changed across updates, so an outdated build can produce behavior that no longer matches current instructions.

It does not, however, establish one universal Wrestling Belt spawning bug. No cited official source confirms that every missing portal is caused by the same defect. Community reports of completion messages without a lasting unlock, or of disputed kill attribution, should therefore be treated as version-sensitive observations rather than a guaranteed diagnosis.
When to report the issue to Activision
Escalate after a fully updated application and a fresh, eligible attempt still fail with a documented completion sequence. Activision Support says its Known Issues page contains “a running list of issues that have been identified or reported in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 7 and are either under investigation or scheduled to be fixed.” If the Wrestling Belt behavior is not listed, Activision directs players to its bug-report form.
Include concise, reproducible evidence:
- Platform and game version.
- Account status showing the Totenreich Main Quest is complete.
- Confirmation that the session was Totenreich in a Cursed playlist.
- Approximate round and match date.
- The full wall-weapon list, including the three secret-room weapons.
- Kill totals for each wall weapon and for the Jotunn Star.
- Confirmation that Mister Peeks was collected before the star.
- A clip or screenshots of the final completion notification and the empty Eidskallen Square portal location.
- Whether the unlock persisted after exfiltration and after restarting the application.
This information lets support distinguish an unmet prerequisite, a display problem, a progression-save failure, and a reproducible game defect.
Bottom line
The Wrestling Belt portal should not be expected until the Totenreich Main Quest is complete, the match is Cursed Totenreich, Mister Peeks was collected before the Jotunn Star, all wall weapons—including M34 Novaline, AK-27, and Dravec-45—have 50 kills each, and the Jotunn Star has its own 50 kills. Check Eidskallen Square after that sequence. If a clean, updated run still produces no portal or no persistent unlock, preserve the evidence and submit an Activision bug report; current official information does not confirm a single universal Wrestling Belt spawning bug.
