WP Engine’s published core-plan renewal prices range from $17 to $330 per month in USD, effective at a customer’s next renewal on or after March 11, 2026. The official table lists Lite at $17, Startup at $35, Professional at $65, Growth at $130 and Scale at $330 per month. These are vendor-published monthly prices—not a promise that every customer’s next invoice will match them. The title’s “from $28/mo” figure is not supported as a current renewal price by that table.
WP Engine renewal prices in 2026
WP Engine’s revised price table lists these monthly USD renewal rates for its named core plans. WP Engine says the changes apply at the next renewal on or after March 11, 2026. The table does not establish that every account has the same price: your order, billing cadence, contract terms, taxes, usage and extensions can affect the bill.

| Core plan | Published monthly renewal price (USD) |
|---|---|
| Lite | $17 |
| Startup | $35 |
| Professional | $65 |
| Growth | $130 |
| Scale | $330 |
These are monthly rates, not necessarily the total charged at checkout or renewal. The pricing page separately advertises first-year offers and coupons for eligible new customers buying Essential plans; it says those offers do not apply to renewals, upgrades or other product purchases. Taxes and overages may also apply, and WP Engine discloses: “Product renewal pricing subject to change.” See WP Engine’s plans and pricing page and its revised renewal-price table.

The public materials use two naming systems: the renewal table lists named plans such as Startup and Growth, while the current configurable plans page presents Essential, Core and Enterprise tiers. Do not assume those labels map one-to-one across pages or to your contract. Use the name and terms shown in your own order and User Portal.

Which WP Engine plan might fit your site?
Choose by the capacity and infrastructure your site needs, not by the lowest displayed introductory figure. The public plans page describes Essential as shared-resource hosting with configurable site, visit and storage capacity; Core uses isolated resources; Enterprise is custom-priced and aimed at mission-critical sites with dedicated infrastructure.
Essential: configurable shared hosting
The configurator displays options including 1 site, 25,000 visits per month and 10 GB; up to 3 sites, 75,000 visits and 15 GB; up to 10 sites, 100,000 visits and 20 GB; and up to 30 sites, 400,000 visits and 50 GB. Those are configurator choices, not a guarantee that every Essential account has the same allowance. The feature comparison gives a broader displayed range of 25,000–400,000 monthly visits for Essential.
Core: isolated resources and managed migrations
WP Engine describes Core as offering isolated resources, managed migrations, priority support and a 99.99% uptime guarantee, with displayed capacity from 400,000 to 800,000 visits per month. Treat the uptime figure as a vendor guarantee, not independent evidence of measured performance. The captured public material does not give Core a simple fixed price; request a quote and compare it with your written order.

Enterprise is presented as custom priced, with dedicated infrastructure and capacity starting at 800,000+ visits per month on the page’s tier comparison. Get the quote, included limits and renewal terms in writing; the public page does not establish a standard Enterprise monthly rate.

Limits to check before choosing a named plan
Support documentation identifies Startup, Professional, Growth and Scale as shared plans. Lite and Startup do not support Multisite; a paid Multisite extension is available for Growth. How introductory pricing differs from renewal cost
A first-year monthly equivalent is not a reliable way to calculate the next bill. WP Engine’s pricing page limits its described first-year pricing and coupon offers to eligible new customers purchasing Essential plans and excludes renewals, upgrades and other product purchases. It also warns that renewal prices can change. Check the order confirmation for the offer’s duration and billing total, then check your account’s renewal notice or invoice for the amount that will actually be charged.
Rank #4
Currency and location matter, too. The cited renewal figures are USD monthly prices; taxes and account-specific terms may change what you pay. The public pricing material does not determine an individual customer’s tax treatment or contract price.
Traffic overages can raise the bill
WP Engine says specified Startup, Professional, Growth, Scale and agency plans are charged $2 per 1,000 monthly visitors above the plan limit. The company says it assesses this monthly whether you pay your subscription monthly or annually, and that traffic above the limit is not throttled. The charge is based on WP Engine’s visit-counting rules, so compare its billable-visits explanation with your usage and invoice rather than estimating from analytics alone.
Best Value
WP Engine says visits cannot be added as a separate extension to increase a plan’s limit. If you need a higher included limit, you must upgrade; check the resulting plan price and any change to infrastructure or migration requirements before proceeding.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Billing changes, downgrades and cancellation
Change or downgrade a plan
WP Engine says plan changes can be managed through the User Portal. Downgrades take effect on the next billing date, and its support guidance asks customers to request them 30 days before that date. Changes among shared Startup, Professional, Growth and Scale plans generally do not require server migration; moving between shared and Premium tiers does require migration and may cause downtime. Ask support to confirm the effect on your particular account and schedule.
Cancel a subscription
Standard support guidance says cancellation requires 30 days’ notice submitted through the cancellation form. After cancellation, the plan will not renew, and service access and content will be removed. Download backups before submitting the request. Custom account-manager terms may override standard procedures, so check your order and account portal for the rules that apply to you.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsEnterprise renewal terms
These legal terms apply only where the customer’s agreement incorporates WP Engine’s Enterprise Terms of Service. The version dated January 15, 2025 says the initial term is 12 months unless the Order states otherwise, followed by renewals for terms equal to the preceding term unless either party gives written non-renewal notice at least 30 days before the active term ends. It also says renewal fees are at then-current rates if WP Engine notifies the customer of an increase before the opt-out deadline. Read the Enterprise Terms of Service together with your Order; do not assume these provisions govern every WP Engine customer.
How to find your actual next charge
- Open your WP Engine User Portal. Find the plan and billing details associated with the account you want to check.
- Review your Order and contract. Confirm the product name, term, billing cadence, any negotiated rate and any applicable extensions or custom terms.
- Check the renewal notice or invoice. Compare the stated renewal amount and date with the public price table; do not substitute an introductory offer for the renewal amount.
- Check usage and taxes. Look for billable-visit overages, applicable taxes and other account charges that could change the total.
- Ask WP Engine to confirm discrepancies. If the public tier label differs from your plan name or the invoice does not match your order, request confirmation before the charge or plan change.
What this review can—and cannot—establish
The pricing and support pages establish published prices, plan descriptions, selected capacity options and stated billing procedures. They do not establish independent hosting speed, reliability or value against competitors: no independent benchmark or customer interviews are available here. The 99.99% uptime figure is WP Engine’s Core-tier guarantee, not a measured comparative result. For a purchase decision, weigh the written limits, infrastructure, overage rules and renewal terms against your site’s requirements, then use your own order and invoice as the authority on your cost.
