WoW: Forever is revisiting class design from an original World of Warcraft foundation, with the stated aim of adding choice and room to experiment without losing recognizable class identities. Its Priest and Warrior spotlight names broad areas of change—baseline abilities and talents for both, racial spells for Priests, and Rage and stances for Warriors—but the available details are still beta-era, not a final account of how the classes will work at release.
What Blizzard says it wants from class updates
Blizzard describes the project as preserving the foundation players remember from original World of Warcraft while making thoughtful updates that create more choice, identity, and room to experiment. The official weekly roundup says every class is being revisited on that basis; it does not frame the work as replacing the original class concepts.

In its Priest and Warrior coverage, Blizzard’s stated goal is to broaden useful choices without moving either class away from what makes it recognizable. The available overview identifies categories of change, rather than a complete set of final abilities or a verdict on which builds will be strongest.
What the Priest and Warrior spotlights cover
The official class spotlight groups the updates into several kinds of changes. The detail level differs by class: Priest coverage includes racial spell access, while Warrior coverage calls out Rage and stances.

|---|---|---|
| Priest | Baseline abilities, racial Priest spells, and talent changes | Discipline, Holy, Shadow |

Those categories show where Blizzard says it is working; they do not establish full talent trees, recommended builds, or comparative class performance.
Priest: broader access to spells and talent options
Blizzard’s official roundup describes adjusted Priest baseline abilities, refreshed racial spells, and talent changes for Discipline, Holy, and Shadow. Massively Overpowered reported on October 2, 2026, that Fear Ward and Devouring Plague would become available to all Priests at level 20. The report also noted new and returning racial spells, including new abilities for Gnome Priests.

- A pre paid, 60 day subscription to world of warcraft
- Requires world of warcraft standard game box contains game card only
This changes the stated access to those spells, but the sources do not provide a complete racial-spell list, the full talent options, or enough detail to assess the resulting trade-offs for each specialization. Treat the level-20 spell access and racial updates as beta-era reporting, not confirmation of final live-game behavior.
Warrior: Rage, stances, and specialization roles
Blizzard’s official overview lists Warrior Rage and stance updates, adjusted baseline abilities, and talent changes across Arms, Fury, and Protection. Massively Overpowered reported that Rage was being adjusted and that a beta bug affecting Rage generation was still being worked on when its October 2, 2026, report was published.

The distinction matters: an intended change to Rage and a bug under active investigation are not the same thing. The report’s bug status is a snapshot from publication, not evidence that the issue remains unresolved or that the same behavior will ship. The sources do not quantify Rage generation or provide enough detail to compare the three specializations’ performance.

How to interpret the changes while the game is in beta
- Separate design goals from confirmed details. Blizzard’s stated goal is to preserve familiar class foundations while expanding choice; the roundup names areas being updated.
- Read specific spell and bug claims as time-sensitive. The level-20 Priest spell access and Warrior Rage bug status were reported during beta and may change.
- Do not infer rankings from the spotlight. The available coverage does not establish best builds, talent trade-offs, or class balance results.
