The campaign follows Ula’tek’s defeat and moves the story toward a confrontation with Kith’ix, a C’Thraxxi general.

The raid focuses on a single boss and offers Story Mode, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties. For Mythic, Blizzard specifies a flexible group of 15–25 players. That makes the raid a compact encounter option, with difficulty and group size shaping the commitment.
Labyrinth of Kindo’jan: a longer exploration challenge
Blizzard describes Labyrinths as sprawling, mega-dungeon-like experiences centered on exploration, a companion, dedicated progression systems, and rewards. The first, Labyrinth of Kindo’jan, is an ancient Amani funeral complex with nine chambers. Players can tackle it in one go or complete it one wing at a time; pushing through more rooms brings more chances at treasure, alongside greater risk.

Blizzard positions Labyrinths as a deeper adventure for players who enjoy Delves. Unlike the short, scheduled Invasions, Kindo’jan supports a more extended session or incremental progress across visits.
Aqir Invasions: hourly zone-wide events
Aqir Invasions take place in Eversong or Zul’Aman as public events lasting 10 minutes each hour. Each moves through a sequence of public objectives before a boss encounter. Blizzard describes six scenario types, including combat and non-combat activities; combat scenarios can draw from eight possible affixes. Their timed, shared format suits players looking for a brief activity rather than a longer dungeon-style run.

Season 2 gear upgrades with Ascendant Venomstones
After 12.1.5 launches, Ascendant Voidcores return as Ascendant Venomstones. Blizzard lists the following sources:
- Heroic or Mythic raid bosses
- Mythic+ Keystone dungeons at +10 or higher
- Tier 11 Bountiful Delves
- Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests
Ten Ascendant Venomstones can increase the item level of one fully upgraded Season 2 Hero, Mythic, or highest-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket, or necklace. The requirement that the item be fully upgraded and in an eligible slot matters: this is a targeted improvement for specified gear, not a general upgrade currency for every item.
