After the owl scene, “Find Aunty” is a story-progression objective, not a search for a hidden location. Complete Bufo’s request, then travel north from Bufo and turn left (west) to reach Gnawtusk. Finish Gnawtusk’s stash errands to trigger the rescue scene. When Aunty returns to the burrow, check the floor for her backpack and the final stash. No cheat or code is verified in the available sources; the useful route is completing these quest gates.
What to do when the objective says “Find Aunty”
Do not search every screen for Aunty after the owl takes her. The walkthrough describes this as a progression gate: advance the NPC errands, and the rescue cutscene follows. Use the journal or HUD to check your active objective as you go.

Complete the early Aunty steps
Repair the first bridge
Before the owl scene, leave the burrow heading east and take the lower, leaf-covered path to the fallen bridge. Repairing it requires 5 Beech Planks and 5 Flax Rope, crafted at the Woodworking Workbench in the burrow. The bridge opens the route to Aunty.

Aunty teaches you to use the shovel. Return it to her to trigger the scripted owl scene; the walkthrough does not describe this as an optional event.

Find Gnawtusk and trigger the rescue
- Complete Bufo’s request to open the northward path.
- From Bufo, head north, then take the left (west) route to find Gnawtusk. Turning right is a navigation mistake the walkthrough specifically warns against.
- Complete Gnawtusk’s stash errands. The first two hand-ins earn the Lantern needed for the dark area; finishing the chain leads to the rescue cutscene.
If you are getting cold or attacked while trying to travel north, check the active objective and make sure Bufo’s request is complete before continuing. A player has described that difficulty, but it is one person’s experience, not a guaranteed obstacle for everyone.
Where to look after the rescue
The rescue cutscene does not finish the early Aunty sequence. She returns ill, and the walkthrough says to look for her backpack on the floor of your burrow. Take the final stash described there, then continue with the medicine and healing step.

Use the map as regional guidance
Winter Burrow’s free Winter Solstice update, announced for 17 December 2025, added an in-game map. Pine Creek Games describes it as showing unlocked areas and the region you are in, rather than your precise position within a screen. Use it for broad orientation, then follow the objective and recognizable landmarks for the route. See Pine Creek Games for the official game information.

- Return to the burrow after repairs or deliveries to use its storage and crafting stations.
- Keep one backpack slot free on longer trips in case you need to carry a quest item.
- Check the journal or HUD when you are unsure which NPC gate to complete next.
Nintendo describes Winter Burrow as “a cozy woodland survival game about a mouse returning home to restore their childhood burrow.” Its Switch listing identifies the edition as digital and lists single-system play for one player: Nintendo’s Winter Burrow listing. The quest route above comes from a specialist walkthrough rather than an official quest manual, so a future game update could change its details.
