To get help in Windows 11, open Get Help from Start, search for the problem, and run a suggested troubleshooter if one is available. If it does not resolve the issue, personal-account users can check for support contact options in the app; work or school users should contact their organization’s administrator.
Open the Get Help app
Select Start, type get help, then select Get Help in the search results. You can also open it from a link on the Settings home page, or go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Microsoft’s Get Help guidance describes these entry points.

Search for the problem and run a suggested troubleshooter
- Describe the issue. Enter a short description in Get Help’s search field and review the related solutions or articles.
- Choose a diagnostic if offered. If the app presents a troubleshooter for your issue, select Start. Respond to any consent prompt and follow the on-screen steps.
- Review the result. Read the findings and suggested remedies after the troubleshooter finishes, then check whether the original issue is resolved.
The available diagnostics and exact steps depend on the issue and the version of Get Help installed. Searching for a problem does not guarantee that a troubleshooter will be offered. Microsoft explains the Get Help troubleshooting flow.

Personal Microsoft account
If Get Help directs you to contact support, select Contact Support, choose the affected product, pick any additional options requested, confirm, and review the contact methods shown. Depending on the product and situation, the app may offer browser chat, a callback request, or a repair request for a hardware issue. The options vary with support hours, product, scenario, and subscription, so the choices available to you may differ. Microsoft’s contact-support guidance outlines the route.
