If your Solo Leveling: Arise team looks strong but cannot clear a stage, do not upgrade everything at once. First identify what the encounter is asking you to do, then check whether your formation, artifacts, cores, and spending choices address that specific problem. Total Power is useful context, but it is not a guarantee of success.
Start with the failure, not the team rating
“Underperforming” can mean several different things: running out of time, losing hunters too quickly, failing to break a boss, missing an elemental advantage, dealing too little damage, or failing a battle mission. Each points toward a different fix. A survival problem is not necessarily solved by adding damage, and a timer problem may not be solved by raising a score that does not reflect the encounter’s particular demands.

Open the current encounter and inspect its boss details, battle missions, and mode rules before changing equipment. Netmarble’s Unstable Dungeon guide recommends reviewing boss details and planning a strategic formation; its bosses rotate weekly. The mode also lets players review recommended hunter artifacts and stats. Treat those recommendations as mode-specific guidance, not a universal team template.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCheck whether your formation fits this encounter
A roster of powerful hunters can still be a poor fit if the selected formation does not address the fight’s requirements. Compare what is happening in battle with the current mode recommendations: are you struggling to survive, to deal damage within the timer, or to handle a boss mechanic? Use the hunters and tools available on your account to respond to that particular bottleneck.
#1 Best Overall
- Celebrate your love of Solo Leveling with this beautiful keychain.
- Displays key characters on each side of the keychain.
- Measures 5.1 inches long and 1.2 inches wide, not including the metal ring.
- Material: Polyester for the keychain, and Metal for the ring.
There is no official one-composition formula established for every mode, roster, and patch. Avoid swapping to a generic “best team” without checking the current kits and encounter. If a hunter’s role or skill interaction is central to your plan, verify its tooltip in the live game; character recommendations can become outdated as the game changes.
Audit artifacts: set effects, stats, and progression
Artifact item level alone does not tell you whether a piece is helping. Netmarble’s artifact guide explains that artifacts can be equipped by Sung Jinwoo and hunters, and matching pieces grant additional set effects. Check both the individual stats and whether the equipped pieces complete a useful set for the character and fight.

- SUNG JINWOO: Climb the hunter ranks with Total Anime Sung Jinwoo
- SOLO LEVELING: 9-inch deluxe PVC statue is based on the popular anime Solo Leveling
- DYNAMIC POSE: Jinwoo is posed in a dynamic battle stance inspired by the show
- DISPLAY BASE: Includes exciting environmental display base of black flames
- Enhancement: can add or improve supporting stats at specified tiers.
- Enchantment: uses materials and gold to strengthen an artifact.
- Reforging: changes stat values while preserving the enhancement tier and enchantment stats, according to the guide.
- Slots: unlock through story progression, so a newer account may not yet have every slot available.
Do not chase a single stat on every hunter without considering the character, stage, and current version. Netmarble’s artifact rates page lists possible main stats by slot and says bonuses are drawn from remaining options. For example, each displayed ring main-stat option has an individual rate of 8.3333% (Netmarble; the page gives no publication year) and the listed rates are rounded up. That is a rate for one listed option, not the chance of obtaining a complete artifact with every desired stat.

Treat cores as a separate build layer
Cores are not interchangeable with artifacts. Netmarble’s core guide says each core has two random stats and a unique stat. Leveling can improve its two stats; enhancement randomly selects one of them, while limit breaking expands the core’s level and stats. Before investing, compare the core’s actual stats and unique effect with the needs of the encounter. Random upgrades can use scarce resources without improving the attribute you were trying to fix.

Do not mistake Total Power for a complete diagnosis
Netmarble describes Battle Class as a variable calculation based on formation and including Armory boosts in its Battle Class guide. That makes Total Power a useful indicator, but not a standalone prediction that a team can clear every fight. A score can include contributions from systems that do not answer whether your current hunters, equipment, and formation suit the encounter.
The Armory is one such contribution. The Armory guide says owned Sung Jinwoo-exclusive weapons can be registered in unlocked slots; those slots gain a percentage of weapon Total Power, and slot enhancement costs Marks of Time. The guide was written based on a company-wide test, so check the live game for current details. If the feature is unlocked, understand how it affects the displayed score rather than assuming that a higher number has fixed every combat weakness.

Spend resources on the bottleneck, not across the roster
Crafting and upgrades consume materials and gold. Before committing limited supplies, name the problem you are trying to solve: a relevant equipment improvement, a formation adjustment, or a targeted upgrade. Broadly enhancing every drop or spreading materials over many units makes it harder to build a focused answer to the fight you are stuck on.

- Artifact targeting: Unstable Dungeon lets players select a preferred artifact type and manage lock and salvage filters, making it easier to focus farming and avoid treating every drop as an upgrade.
Routes and rewards can change. Netmarble’s April 2025 newsroom story said Reforge Stones were obtainable from Instant Dungeons and Encore Missions at that time; check the live reward screens rather than assuming that route remains current.
Verify patch-sensitive advice before copying a build
Exact tier lists, skill descriptions, and character builds are time-sensitive. Netmarble’s official guide pages include test-version caveats, and its June 2024 developer note acknowledged tooltip discrepancies. Before relying on a precise character or skill claim, compare it with the current in-game tooltip, patch notes, and mode rules.
Community posts can help you recognize the problem other players are describing, but they do not establish a universal cause. One player, for example, said they had followed a Sung Jinwoo guide and raised Meilin and Goto to A5 while still finding the team lacking. That is an individual account, not evidence that those hunters or that investment are inherently deficient. No authoritative published statistic establishes how often any particular build mistake causes teams to underperform.

The draw screen supports viewing appearance rates and draw history, and Netmarble’s Draw guide describes a support gauge. Those features help you understand draw information; they do not show that spending is necessary to fix a weak clear. Diagnose your encounter and current roster before deciding whether a draw has any relevance.
Likewise, selector recommendations are tied to their event and content context. A Prydwen guide for a February 2025 selector event discussed Legendary Blessing Stones and Skill Runes, but that advice is not a current, universal priority for every account.
