The documented Wi-Fi Smart LED/Classic setup uses the Sengled Home app and a 2.4 GHz network, with no hub. Element Plus bulbs use Zigbee and require a compatible hub. Their reset steps differ, so check the bulb’s model label and regional instructions before resetting.
First, identify the connection type
Look up the bulb’s model label or manual, then follow the matching setup path. Do not try to add a Wi-Fi bulb through an Element hub workflow, or assume that an Element Zigbee bulb connects directly to Wi-Fi.

These instructions cover the cited Wi-Fi Smart LED/Classic and Element Plus families, not every Sengled model. Use the manual for the exact model and region if your label does not match.

Fix a Sengled Wi-Fi Smart LED or Wi-Fi Classic bulb
Check the app path and Wi-Fi band
- Connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz router you intend to use for the bulb.
- In the Sengled Home app, choose the Wi-Fi bulb setup option, not a hub-based workflow.
- Make sure the bulb is switched on and retry adding it in the app.
Sengled’s Smart Wi-Fi LED Bulb User Guide says the documented bulb does not work on 5 GHz and does not use a Sengled hub. The WiFi Classic A60 manual also says the phone should be on the same 2.4 GHz router intended for setup.

Reset the Wi-Fi Classic bulb if discovery still fails
- Leave the bulb on, then quickly switch it off and on at least five times. Sengled says using a light switch or power bar works best.
- Look for three flashes, which indicate a successful reset in the 2021 Wi-Fi Classic manual.
- If it does not flash three times, repeat the reset sequence; then try adding the bulb again in the app.
These reset counts are for the cited Wi-Fi Classic manual; confirm your model’s own instructions before using them on another bulb.
Check product-specific fixture restrictions
Sengled’s cited guide for its 2700K/5000K Wi-Fi bulb says that particular bulb is for indoor use, should not be used in a fully enclosed fixture, and belongs in an on/off socket rather than a dimmer socket. These restrictions are model-specific, not general rules for every Sengled bulb.

Fix an Element or Element Plus Zigbee bulb and hub
Make sure the bulb is using its compatible hub
Element Plus is a Zigbee bulb-and-hub system. Confirm that the bulb is being paired with its compatible Element hub, rather than added as a direct Wi-Fi bulb. Sengled’s Element Plus product information describes the hub-based system.

- Check that the home network is working and connect the phone to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network used for setup.
- Power on the hub and allow about 60 seconds for initialization before trying discovery again.
- If it is still not discoverable, hold the round button on the side of the hub for at least eight seconds to reset it, then wait for the reset indicator behavior described in Sengled’s product instructions.
Sengled’s Element Plus FAQ describes these hub recovery steps. After initial setup, the hub may remain connected by Ethernet or use Wi-Fi; Sengled notes that wired operation can be more reliable in some homes with weak or crowded Wi-Fi.

Choose rejoin or factory reset for the bulb
These are different actions. The Element hub manual describes five quick off/on cycles as a network rejoin, with two flashes indicating that mode. For a factory reset, use at least ten quick off/on cycles; the cited Element Plus FAQ says five flashes indicate pairing mode.
Follow the model-specific procedure in the Element Hub User Manual or FAQ. Do not use the Wi-Fi Classic five-cycle reset as a substitute: the Element procedure has distinct rejoin and factory-reset modes.

Consider distance and obstructions
Sengled gives an approximate indoor residential working range of 50 to 180 feet for Element Plus, depending on what lies between the hub and bulb. This is a manufacturer estimate, not a guaranteed range. If pairing or operation is unreliable, moving the bulb closer to the hub can help determine whether distance or obstructions are involved.

Consider replacing a bulb or hub only after confirming its family, using the correct app or hub path, checking the relevant network conditions, and completing that family’s reset steps. Match a replacement to the exact bulb family, socket, and region; an Element hub is relevant only to supported Element Zigbee bulbs, not Wi-Fi-only bulbs.
