Why build a collection instead of one flagship tool?
In the Aug. 25, 2026 article, the creator frames the product bet as breadth and reduced friction: people may need different fullscreen utilities at different moments, and should be able to open one without an account or app installation. The creator also says they focused on making fullscreen behavior consistent across tools with different visual purposes. These are the maker’s stated motivations, not evidence that the collection is better than competing tools.

The practical trade-off is that a broad collection can be useful when a quick, single-purpose screen is enough, while it does not by itself establish the depth, customization, or reliability a dedicated app might offer. The available descriptions support the first point; they do not provide comparative performance results.

What to know before using a prank screen
Individual tool descriptions matter. For example, the Hacker Typer page says it generates fake code, is not a working programming environment, and renders locally in the browser.
