India is on YouTube’s current list of places where eligible creators can use Super Chat and Super Stickers, so being in India by itself is unlikely to explain why Super Chat is disabled. Check two things separately: whether your channel has access to Supers, and whether this particular stream meets YouTube’s eligibility and live-chat requirements. A 24/7 stream’s length raises a separate replay-archiving concern; YouTube’s 12-hour guidance does not establish that Supers switch off during a live broadcast.
1. Check whether your channel has access to Supers
Super Chat and Super Stickers are fan-funding features. Country availability does not automatically enable them for a channel. YouTube’s baseline requirements include being in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), being at least 18, living in a location where Supers are available, and accepting and complying with the applicable Commerce Product Module or former Commerce Product Addendum.

- Open YouTube Studio and go to Earn.
- Look for the Supers tab or card. Confirm that Supers are available to your channel and switched on.
- If the Supers area is absent or says you are not eligible, resolve the channel-level eligibility or terms issue shown there. A stream setting cannot grant channel access.
India is included in YouTube’s country and region availability list for Super Chat and Super Stickers, but the channel requirements still apply. YouTube’s Studio status is the relevant next check for your account.
2. Check this stream’s settings
A channel can have access to Supers while one particular video or livestream is ineligible. Review the stream’s settings in YouTube Studio and check each of the following:

- Visibility: the stream must not be unlisted or private.
- Audience: it must not be marked as made for kids. Made-for-kids livestreams have live chat and Super Chat disabled.
- Age restriction: an age-restricted stream cannot use Supers.
- Fundraiser: YouTube Giving fundraiser videos are not eligible for Super Chat or Super Stickers.
- Live chat and comments: they must not be turned off. YouTube says eligible live streams and Premieres with live chat enabled automatically support Supers.
If a setting is wrong, change it only if the corrected setting accurately describes the stream and complies with YouTube’s rules. For example, do not change a made-for-kids designation just to restore Supers.
3. Test on the YouTube watch page
Open the stream’s regular YouTube watch page and check whether live chat is available there. Live chat is not available in embedded players, so a missing chat panel on an embedded stream is not a reliable test of whether the stream itself has chat enabled. Subscribers-only chat can also limit some features for viewers; distinguish a viewer-specific limitation from a stream-wide or channel-wide Supers restriction.

4. Separate live Super Chat from the 24/7 replay
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, and warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. That matters if you need a replay or archive of a continuous broadcast. It is not an established Super Chat eligibility threshold: the cited 12-hour guidance concerns replay capture, not disabling Supers while the stream is live.

If your channel has Supers access, the stream is eligible, and chat is on, check the channel’s Earn area and the stream’s settings again for a restriction or status message. Public eligibility rules cannot identify the cause on an individual channel without seeing that channel’s Studio status and stream configuration. YouTube surfaces Supers access in Earn when a creator has access.

Keeping a 24/7 stream online is a separate problem
