In current Chrome, the full-page screenshot command is in Device Mode’s More options menu—not necessarily in the general DevTools menu or Command Menu. Open DevTools, enable the device toolbar, then choose More options → Capture a full size screenshot. If it is missing there too, Chrome’s documentation does not identify one universal cause or guaranteed fix.
Find the full-page screenshot command
- Open the page you want to capture in Chrome, then open DevTools.
- Turn on Device Mode by clicking Toggle device toolbar in the DevTools action bar.
- In the device toolbar, open More options (the three-dot menu).
- Choose Capture a full size screenshot. Chrome’s Device Mode guide describes this as capturing the whole page, including content outside the viewport. The guide was last updated February 20, 2024: Simulate mobile devices with device mode.
Make sure you are opening the device toolbar’s menu. It is easy to confuse it with DevTools’ general menu or the Command Menu, and those do not document the same full-page action.

The Command Menu opens with Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows and Linux, or Cmd+Shift+P on Mac. Chrome’s Command Menu guide documents Capture area screenshot there; it does not establish that searching the menu will show the full-size command in every version or configuration. The guide was last updated September 4, 2024: Run commands in the Command Menu.
If the full-size option is still missing
First verify that Device Mode is active and inspect its own More options menu. If the command is absent from that documented location, the available Chrome documentation does not give a single explanation that applies to every case.

- Expand the device toolbar and check its overflow menu. Chrome notes that some controls can disappear when the toolbar is narrow. Its documentation does not say that this specifically removes the full-size screenshot command, so treat this as a practical check, not a confirmed cause.
- Do not infer that undocking DevTools is the cause. Chrome documents an undocked-DevTools limitation for area capture, not for the full-size screenshot command.
- Record the exact setup. Note your Chrome version, operating system, whether Device Mode is enabled, which menu you checked, and the steps that reproduce the missing option. The documentation does not provide a guaranteed preference change or version-specific fix.
A report concerning Chrome 151.0.7922.71 on macOS describes missing screenshot actions, but the indexed discussion says staff could not reproduce the issue and it was sent for triage assistance. That report is not confirmation that Chrome broadly removed the feature, nor does it establish a root cause. A missing item in one menu or configuration is not enough to conclude that the command has been discontinued.

Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server includes screenshot, page-info, and PDF-capture tools for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 shots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.
