Apple HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union at launch because Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS in the EU, according to Apple. Apple says it is working with the EU to find a path forward, but it has not announced a European release date.
Why HomeView is excluded from the EU
Apple’s explanation is specific: “Apple HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union, as Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS in the EU.” Siri AI is a core part of HomeView’s operation, so Apple is not selling the device in EU countries while that iOS availability issue remains.

Apple also says it is “working constructively with the EU in an attempt to find a path forward.” That statement does not establish a launch commitment or timetable. Apple has provided no date for preorders or retail availability in the EU, and any forecast would be speculation.

Apple announced HomeView on 13 October 2026. Preorders open that day in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Singapore preorders begin on 15 October, while customers in South Africa buy through Apple Authorized Resellers. In those supported markets, both the standard and wall-mounted models are scheduled to become available on 13 November 2026.

What HomeView actually is
HomeView is a physical smart-home and entertainment display, not a software-only feature. It has a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and combines media playback, communication and control of compatible home accessories. Apple says the experience includes Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple News, Apple TV, compatible third-party audio and video apps, FaceTime calls, home monitoring and hands-free automations controlled with Siri AI.
Some services require subscriptions, and available apps or features can vary by region and language. That means a future EU release could still offer a different service mix from the initial markets even if Siri AI becomes available.

HomeView and HomeView Wall Mounted
Apple announced two hardware forms, both starting at $299 in the United States: the standard HomeView and HomeView Wall Mounted. The wall-mounted model is designed for fixed installation and works with three purpose-built Schneider Home mounts.

Language and device requirements
Siri AI on HomeView initially works in English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Apple says Canadian French will be added later through a free software update. This language list describes the initial Siri AI rollout, not a promise that every app or service has identical regional support.
Setup and multiuser support require a compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software. A buyer therefore needs an eligible Apple mobile device in addition to the display itself. Subscription fees for services and the cost of a mount, if used, are separate from the $299 U.S. starting price.

Can you buy HomeView in Europe now?
No. Apple’s announcement does not list any EU country for preorder or sale, and it explicitly says HomeView is unavailable for sale in the European Union. Importing a unit from a supported country would not change that official regional status. Buyers would also need to verify language support, power and mounting compatibility, warranty coverage, taxes and whether the required iPhone or iPad can complete setup in their region.

There is also no confirmed Amazon or other marketplace inventory established by Apple’s announcement. Treat any listing claiming immediate EU delivery as an independent import offer, not evidence of an official European launch.

What would need to change for an EU launch?
Apple has not described a technical workaround or named a specific EU rule in its announcement. The established condition is that Siri AI is currently unavailable in EU versions of iOS. Apple’s stated next step is engagement with the EU, so the timing depends on a resolution that allows the required Siri AI experience in the region. Until Apple publishes a date and country list, the only reliable status is “not announced.”
