These are possibilities to investigate, not confirmed defects of the Phone (4a).
Nothing says the Phone (4a) box includes a screen protector pre-applied to the phone. Its support information does not identify that protector’s adhesive or specify the display’s edge curvature, so the cause of any particular lift needs to be checked on the device.

Why a screen protector can lift at the edges
An edge lifts when the protector’s adhesive loses contact with the glass at that spot. Common things to check are:

- Case pressure: A case that overlaps the protector or presses its edge can push it upward.
- Dust, hair, fingerprints, or residue: Contamination between the protector and glass can prevent contact.
- Alignment or coverage: A shifted or oversized protector may reach an edge or case in a way that encourages lifting.
- Model mismatch: A protector made for a different phone may not match the Phone (4a)’s screen area.
Nothing lists the Phone (4a) as 163.8 mm high, 77.45 mm wide, and 8.55 mm deep, and notes that actual measurements may vary with manufacturing and measurement methods. Those dimensions can help distinguish the model, but they do not establish that its screen edges are curved or warped. Huawei’s general support guidance mentions curved surfaces as one possible cause of bubbles and recommends a protector matched to the device; it is not evidence that the Phone (4a) has a curved display. How to diagnose the lift
1. Take the case off
Remove the case and check whether it was touching or pushing the lifted edge. If the edge stops being pressed when the case is off, the case may be interfering with the protector. A Nothing Community discussion describes case-related bubbles on other Nothing phone models, but it is anecdotal and does not establish the same issue on the Phone (4a).
2. Inspect the spot without pressing hard
Look for dust, a hair, a fingerprint, or residue at the lifting point. Avoid pressing hard on a glass edge to force it down: pressure will not remove a particle trapped underneath and could damage the protector or display.

3. Check position and fit
Look for a protector shifted to one side, an edge that extends into a case’s path, or a protector that does not appear to match the screen. General guidance to use a model-matched protector is sensible, but it does not verify the fit of any particular third-party Phone (4a) accessory.

How to fix it—or replace the protector
If the case is the cause
Keep the case off while checking the protector. If you replace either accessory, confirm that the protector is explicitly labeled for Nothing Phone (4a) and that its coverage leaves clearance for your case. Do not assume a Phone (4a) Pro protector, or one for another Nothing model, will fit.

If the protector is contaminated or damaged
Follow the phone and protector makers’ instructions to clean and dry the glass before fitting a replacement. If the existing protector’s adhesive has picked up dust or residue, repeatedly lifting and reseating it may worsen the problem; replacing it is a more practical option. Nothing confirms that a protector is pre-applied in the box, but does not name a replacement brand or guarantee the fit of third-party protectors.

Search for “Nothing Phone (4a) screen protector” and check the product details before buying. Compare exact-model compatibility, edge coverage and case clearance, material and installation method, and the seller’s fit or replacement policy. No particular replacement product or model-specific edge-fit performance is established here.

When to contact Nothing
If an exact-model protector lifts again at the same spot after correct installation with the case removed, or the exposed glass itself looks visibly uneven, stop experimenting.
