When is color E Ink worth considering?
The BOOX Note Air5 C and reMarkable Paper Pro both offer color displays, but color does not mean the same sharpness as black-and-white text. BOOX specifies 300 ppi for black-and-white and 150 ppi for color on the Note Air5 C. For reading mostly text, that difference is worth weighing against the value of color for diagrams, highlights, or other documents.
BOOX’s Android 15 and Google Play access make the Note Air5 C the clearest fit of these three for readers who want third-party apps as part of their tablet workflow.
