To reduce missed Monopoly GO rewards, enable the game’s notifications in your phone settings, allow banners or lock-screen alerts and sound if you need immediate attention, and exempt the app from Focus, Do Not Disturb and aggressive battery restrictions. Because Scopely does not publish a complete list of reward-event notifications, use a recurring 1pm UTC reminder for Quick Wins, check Tycoon Club directly and follow the game’s official social channels as backups.
Why notification settings matter in Monopoly GO
Monopoly GO is built around activities that expire. Scopely describes “daily tournaments and ever-evolving mini-games,” limited-time Chance Cards and milestone events lasting several days. The current Google Play listing, updated September 8, 2026, says that “New Events run every hour” and encourages players to watch for time-limited games.
That schedule makes timely checking useful, but a notification is not the same as a guaranteed reward alert. No official Monopoly GO page currently publishes a complete matrix showing which events, gifts, tournaments or milestones generate pushes. Some alerts may be delayed, grouped or omitted. Configure push notifications first, then add predictable reminders and official information channels so one missed push does not cost a limited-time opportunity.

Device permission is the first setting to verify. Menu names differ slightly by iOS and Android release, but the principle is the same: find Monopoly GO in the app-specific notification list and permit alerts.
iPhone and iPad
- Open Settings and tap Notifications.
- Scroll to Monopoly GO or use the app list search.
- Turn on Allow Notifications.
- Enable the delivery locations you will actually notice: Lock Screen, Notification Center and Banners.
- Turn on Sounds if an audible alert matters, and enable Badges if you want an unread count on the icon.
If you use Scheduled Summary, make sure Monopoly GO is not being held for a later summary when an event may expire. You can leave summaries enabled for other apps while allowing this game to deliver immediately, depending on the controls shown by your iOS version.

Android phones and tablets
- Open Settings, then Notifications (on some devices, Apps followed by Notifications).
- Choose App notifications or the equivalent app list.
- Select Monopoly GO and switch notifications on.
- Allow the alert styles you prefer, such as lock-screen display, pop-up or “show on screen,” sound and vibration.
- If Android presents notification categories, leave the categories relevant to events, gifts or news enabled. Category names are controlled by the app and can differ by account, device and version.
Android manufacturers place these controls in different locations. If you cannot find the app, open the phone’s Settings search and type “Monopoly GO” or “app notifications.”
Choose visibility without creating unnecessary noise
Use banners or pop-ups for alerts you want to see while the phone is unlocked, and lock-screen notifications for reminders you might otherwise miss. Sound is useful when an event is genuinely time-sensitive, but it can become intrusive if the game sends frequent activity updates. A practical compromise is visible banners and lock-screen alerts with sound enabled during the periods when you actively play; use the phone’s Focus or Do Not Disturb schedule at other times.

Stop Focus, Do Not Disturb and battery controls from hiding alerts
Review Focus and Do Not Disturb
Even when app permission is enabled, a system-wide focus mode can silence or postpone the alert.
- Check every active Focus, Do Not Disturb, bedtime or driving schedule.
- Look for an Allowed Apps, Exceptions or Notifications during Do Not Disturb list and add Monopoly GO if you want it to break through.
- On iPhone, inspect Focus filters and the current Focus shown in Control Center.
- On Android, check both the main Do Not Disturb rule and any manufacturer-specific gaming or sleep mode.
Do not assume that disabling a mode once fixes the problem permanently; a scheduled rule can reactivate it the next day.

Relax battery and background restrictions
Battery-saving systems can delay an app’s connection to push services, especially when Monopoly GO has not been opened recently. In the app’s battery settings, look for options such as Unrestricted, Allow background activity or Don’t optimize. The exact wording varies by manufacturer. If your phone offers an automatic “deep sleeping apps” list, remove Monopoly GO from that list.
These changes can use more battery. If you prefer maximum battery life, leave optimization enabled and open the game manually before a known event or reset instead of granting a permanent exemption.

Check connectivity and account state
Push delivery also depends on the phone being connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data and signed in to the same Monopoly GO account you use for rewards. After changing permissions, open the game once, leave it connected for a minute and then lock the device. This gives the app an opportunity to register its notification token again. If alerts work only while the game is open, background or battery restrictions are more likely than the banner setting itself.
Check Monopoly GO’s own settings without assuming a universal switch
Open Monopoly GO and inspect its Settings menu for any notification, news, marketing or event controls that are actually displayed on your account. Scopely’s documentation for another title shows a general pattern of an in-game Push Notifications control plus device-level iOS and Android permissions, but that is corroborating evidence about Scopely apps, not proof that Monopoly GO exposes the same toggle.

Therefore, do not search for one guaranteed label such as “Event Notifications.” If a control appears, enable the categories you want and save the change. If it does not appear, the phone-level permission remains the authoritative setting you can change, and you should rely on reminders and official channels for coverage the game does not document.
Use a 1pm UTC reminder for Quick Wins
Quick Wins provides three daily tasks. The Monopoly GO Help Center says those tasks must be completed within a 24-hour timeframe and identifies the daily reset as 1pm UTC. The game may not send a separate reminder for every task or reset, so create your own recurring alert.

- Convert 1pm UTC to your local time, taking daylight-saving changes into account. For example, it is 9am Eastern Daylight Time when that offset is in effect, but the local clock can change when your region switches offsets.
- Create a repeating daily reminder titled Check Monopoly GO Quick Wins.
- Set it for the converted local time, or schedule two reminders around the reset if you travel between time zones.
- When it fires, open Quick Wins, review all three tasks and note the deadline shown in the game.
A recurring reminder is predictable: it does not depend on Monopoly GO being allowed to run in the background. It is especially useful for players who silence most game notifications but still want the daily tasks.

Add Tycoon Club for faster reward checks
The official Tycoon Club instructions explain that the club can be added to an Android or iOS home screen. Treat this as a shortcut, not as a guaranteed push system. Scopely’s article says, “We’re working on gift notifications (coming soon!), so you’ll be alerted when new free gifts are available.” That wording describes planned functionality, not a promise that active gift notifications are available on every account today.
Place the Tycoon Club shortcut beside the Monopoly GO icon or in a folder named Daily checks. Use it when your reminder fires, after opening the game or whenever you see an announcement about a free gift. If the shortcut stops working, recreate it from the current Tycoon Club page rather than assuming a notification permission is at fault.

The Monopoly GO Help Center’s Social Media Hub identifies official Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and Discord channels. Following the channels you already use can surface announcements when a push is delayed or when a special promotion is communicated publicly.
Social posts are not a complete event feed. They may focus on major announcements and may not mention every individual reward, tournament or hourly activity. Use them to confirm schedules, maintenance and large promotions, while your in-game checks and 1pm UTC reminder handle routine rewards.
Compare the three ways to avoid missing rewards

For most players, the strongest combination is visible push alerts, one daily Quick Wins reminder and at least one official channel. Each method covers a different failure: the reminder handles known timing, social channels provide public confirmation and push alerts catch changes while you are away from the game.
Troubleshoot missing Monopoly GO alerts
No alerts ever arrive
- Recheck the app-specific permission and confirm that notification delivery is enabled, not merely the badge.
- Open the game once after changing the setting.
- Turn off Focus or Do Not Disturb temporarily and test with the phone locked.
- Check that the game is not in a battery-saver or sleeping-app list.
- Verify Wi-Fi or mobile data and update the app through your device’s official app store.
Alerts appear only when the game is open
This pattern usually points to background restrictions, delayed network access or an app process that the operating system has suspended. Review the battery setting for Monopoly GO, remove restrictive background limits if timely alerts are more important than battery savings, then test again after leaving the game closed for several minutes.
Alerts arrive late or after an event ends
Keep the 1pm UTC reminder even after push delivery improves. Also inspect Scheduled Summary, Focus schedules and notification history. A late push cannot restore an expired reward, whereas a reminder tied to the reset gives you a fixed time to check manually.

You receive too many alerts
Keep banners or lock-screen display for visibility, then reduce sound and vibration first. If Android exposes notification categories, disable only the noisy categories rather than blocking all Monopoly GO notifications. On iPhone, use Focus schedules or a notification summary for periods when you do not want interruptions, while preserving the daily reminder.
A practical setup that covers most players
- Enable Monopoly GO under the phone’s app notification settings.
- Allow lock-screen and banner delivery; add sound and badges according to your preference.
- Check Focus, Do Not Disturb and scheduled summaries.
- Review battery and background permissions, especially if alerts are late.
- Enable any notification or news option that your current Monopoly GO account actually shows in its in-game Settings.
- Set a repeating reminder for the Quick Wins reset at 1pm UTC, converted to your local time.
- Add Tycoon Club to the home screen and follow one or more official social channels.
- Test the setup by locking the phone and checking whether a normal app notification appears; continue manual checks because no official source promises a push for every limited-time reward.
