You probably do not need every accessory sold for a Lenovo Yoga Tab. The right purchase depends on three things: your exact tablet generation, what was already in its regional box, and how you use it. Buy the keyboard for sustained typing, the pen for handwriting or drawing, a folio only when protection is missing or worn out, a replacement charger only for a confirmed charging need, and a USB-C display accessory only when your model supports video output.
Start by identifying whether you own the Yoga Tab, Yoga Tab Plus, or Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. Lenovo lists different accessory names and bundles for each, and keyboard availability can vary by country or region.

Start with the exact Yoga Tab model and box contents
“Yoga Tab” is not one universal accessory platform. Lenovo’s specifications separate the Yoga Tab, Yoga Tab Plus, and Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. Connectors, pen names, keyboard designs, and bundled items can change between them. Even within one model family, Lenovo notes that configuration and regional package contents may differ.

Before ordering anything, read the model name on the tablet, its retail box, or the local Lenovo product listing. Then compare the listed in-box items with what you actually received. A keyboard or pen that is already included is not an upgrade; it is simply an accessory you should not buy twice.

The table describes what Lenovo’s documents list, not a promise that every country or retail configuration contains every item. Treat the local product page and your actual box as the final check.
Choose accessories by the way you use the tablet
If you type for more than a few minutes at a time, get the correct keyboard
A keyboard is the most consequential accessory for turning a Yoga Tab into a writing device. It makes sense for email, documents, schoolwork, coding, spreadsheets, or any routine in which tapping an on-screen keyboard becomes the bottleneck. It is unnecessary if you mainly read, watch video, browse, or use the tablet for occasional short replies.
For the Yoga Tab Plus, Lenovo’s accessory listing calls the product the Lenovo Keyboard Pack for Yoga Tab Plus. The pack connects through pogo pins rather than Bluetooth pairing. Lenovo lists a weight of 0.446 kg and dimensions of 14.8 mm × 291 mm × 188 mm. Those figures matter if you expect to carry the keyboard every day: it adds a substantial physical component compared with a tablet-only setup.

A generic keyboard cover may type, but the Lenovo documents do not establish it as an exact-fit substitute for the pogo-pin pack.

The naming changes for the newer model. Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 documentation calls its accessory the All-in-One Clamshell Keyboard for Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. Do not treat that name as interchangeable with the earlier Yoga Tab Plus Keyboard Pack. Check the Gen 2 model identifier and the keyboard’s stated compatibility together.
If you handwrite, annotate PDFs, or draw, get the matching pen
Choose a pen when handwriting, markup, diagrams, or illustration are central to your routine. It is optional for readers, streamers, and users who rarely mark up a document. A pen is also not a universal purchase across the Yoga Tab range.
The Yoga Tab specification identifies the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro. Lenovo describes haptic feedback, wireless charging, double-tap and swipe controls, 8,192 pressure levels, tilt detection, and palm rejection. Those features are useful only when the pen is compatible with the tablet and supported by the software you use; they are not reasons to assume that every Lenovo stylus will work.

Lenovo’s Yoga Tab Plus specification also names Tab Pen Pro. The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 document instead names Tab Pen Pro 2. Because the generations have different pen names, confirm compatibility for your exact model rather than assuming that an older pen or a Gen 2 pen can be substituted. Also check whether the pen was included in your package before buying one separately.

If you need protection, buy a folio only when one is missing or needs replacement
A folio is a sensible purchase when your tablet arrived without one, the original cover is damaged, or you need a replacement for a second location. It is not automatically necessary. Lenovo’s Yoga Tab PSREF lists a folio case among bundled accessories, and the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 specification lists a folio as well.
The documents do not establish one universal folio SKU that fits every Yoga Tab generation. A case that fits the camera opening, ports, speakers, and stand geometry of one model may not fit another. Use the full model name and generation when checking a replacement listing. If your box already contains the correct folio, a second case is a convenience purchase rather than a requirement.
If your charger is lost or inadequate, verify the model before replacing it
Charging advice is model-specific. Lenovo’s Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 specification calls for a USB-C AC adapter rated at 5–11 V / 4.5 A, with a 45 W maximum and support for USB Power Delivery 3.0 and Programmable Power Supply. Those figures provide a useful target when replacing a Gen 2 adapter.
They do not prove that every Yoga Tab uses the same input requirement, and they do not validate a particular third-party charger. For a different Yoga Tab generation, read that model’s own electrical specification. If the original adapter still works and you have a compatible outlet at each normal location, a spare is a convenience, not a universal upgrade.

If you want a wired monitor or peripherals, check USB-C video support first
The Yoga Tab Plus specification lists USB-C with charging and DisplayPort output. That gives an owner a reason to consider a suitable USB-C display cable or hub for a monitor, dock, or wired peripheral setup.
Display output is not established here for every Yoga Tab model. Before buying a cable or hub, confirm that your exact tablet supports DisplayPort over USB-C and that the accessory is rated for the connection you intend to use. Lenovo’s specification does not identify or certify a particular third-party cable or hub, so keep this purchase conditional rather than treating it as part of a standard accessory kit.
A practical buying decision for each routine
| Your routine | Accessory decision | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Mostly reading, streaming, browsing, and short replies | Usually buy nothing beyond what came in the box. | Confirm that the included folio and charger meet your needs. |
| Daily documents, email, schoolwork, or spreadsheets | Buy the keyboard made for your exact generation. | Model name, three-point pogo-pin connector where applicable, and regional availability. |
| Handwriting, PDF annotation, diagrams, or art | Buy the pen named for your generation. | Tab Pen Pro for Yoga Tab and Yoga Tab Plus; Tab Pen Pro 2 for Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2; check whether it is already bundled. |
| Travel or frequent handling without a supplied case | Buy an exact-model folio. | Generation, port and camera cutouts, stand design, and whether the original folio is already included. |
| Lost, damaged, or shared charging setup | Buy a replacement or spare only after checking the tablet’s power specification. | For Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2, 45 W maximum, PD 3.0, PPS, and the stated USB-C voltage/current range. |
| External monitor or wired dock | Consider a USB-C display cable or hub only when the tablet supports video output. | Yoga Tab Plus lists DisplayPort output over USB-C; verify other models separately. |
How to avoid buying the wrong generation
- Record the complete model name. Distinguish Yoga Tab, Yoga Tab Plus, and Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. Do not rely on “Yoga Tab” alone when searching for an accessory.
- Inventory the package. Lay out the folio, keyboard, pen, charger, and cables that came with the tablet. Compare them with the local Lenovo listing, because bundles can differ by configuration and region.
- Match the accessory’s stated family. A listing for Yoga Tab Plus is not automatically a listing for Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. Look for the exact machine family and generation in the compatibility text.
- Check the physical connection. For keyboard packs, confirm the three-point pogo-pin arrangement where the specification calls for it. For charging, compare the required protocol and maximum wattage. For display use, confirm DisplayPort support.
- Check the accessory name, not just the picture. “Lenovo Keyboard Pack for Yoga Tab Plus” and “All-in-One Clamshell Keyboard for Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2” refer to different documented products. Likewise, Tab Pen Pro and Tab Pen Pro 2 should be treated as separate generation-specific choices.
- Confirm local availability. Lenovo explicitly notes regional variation for keyboard-pack availability. A product shown in one country may not be stocked or bundled in another.
- Keep the receipt and packaging until you test the fit. Confirm that the keyboard seats on the pogo pins, the folio aligns with ports and cameras, and the pen performs the functions you need before discarding the box.
Common mistakes and how to correct them
Buying a second accessory that was already included
Accessory bundles can make an apparently necessary purchase redundant. Check the box and the configuration-specific listing before ordering a keyboard, pen, or folio. If the item is included, spend the budget on a replacement only when the original is damaged or you need a second location.

Assuming stylus generations are interchangeable
Lenovo names Tab Pen Pro for Yoga Tab and Yoga Tab Plus, while the Gen 2 specification names Tab Pen Pro 2. The available documents do not establish cross-generation interchangeability. Treat compatibility as unconfirmed unless the current listing for your tablet states it.
Buying a high-wattage charger for every model
The 45 W PD 3.0/PPS specification belongs to Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. It is not a blanket requirement for the Yoga Tab line. For another model, use that model’s own charging specification instead of copying the Gen 2 figure.
Buying a USB-C hub because the port looks the same
A USB-C connector does not by itself establish video output. Yoga Tab Plus is documented with DisplayPort output; the supplied specifications do not make that claim for every Yoga Tab. Verify video support before paying for a display hub.
What is worth buying first?
For most owners, the priority is straightforward. First, replace a missing or damaged item that your daily routine genuinely requires. Second, add the exact-generation keyboard if you type regularly. Third, add the matching pen if handwriting or creative work is part of your use. A folio comes next only when protection is absent or the supplied cover needs replacement. A spare charger and display accessory are specialized purchases tied to a specific model and setup.
There is no universal Yoga Tab accessory bundle that every owner should recreate. Lenovo’s May and August 2026 specifications show why: the Yoga Tab, Yoga Tab Plus, and Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 carry different documented accessory names and, in some cases, different hardware requirements. Identify the tablet, verify the box, then buy only the accessory that solves a real problem in your routine.
