The most direct way to move information from an old phone to a new Vivo is Vivo EasyShare’s Phone Clone function. Open EasyShare on both phones, set the old handset as Old phone and the Vivo as New phone, pair them by scanning the QR code, choose the data shown on the old phone, and start the transfer. Keep the old phone unlocked and its screen-lock PIN or password available; Vivo may request it before cloning begins.
The exact menus can vary by Vivo model, Funtouch OS version, EasyShare version and region. The steps below follow Vivo’s documented flow while identifying what may require manual follow-up, what can be overwritten and when a PC or individual file transfer is a better fit.

What you need before starting
Prepare both phones before opening Phone Clone. A little preparation prevents the most common interruptions and accidental overwrites.

A phone-to-phone migration can take time, especially when many photos, videos or documents are selected. Keep the handsets close together on a stable surface.
- Keep the old phone accessible and unlocked. You will need to operate it during pairing and selection. If a screen lock is enabled, have the PIN, password or pattern available because Vivo says the credential may be requested.
- Install or update EasyShare where needed. EasyShare is the Vivo transfer app. On an Android source, it may already be present; if it is not, install the version offered for that phone. For an iPhone source, Vivo’s manual says EasyShare should be installed on the iPhone before transferring.
- Check free space on the new Vivo. Select only what can fit. If the destination is nearly full, move or delete unnecessary files first rather than beginning a transfer that will stop partway through.
- Protect anything irreplaceable. Before cloning, make an independent copy of critical photos, work files, two-factor recovery codes and authenticator recovery information. Phone Clone is designed to move selected data, not to replace a separate backup strategy.
Do not reset, trade in or erase the old phone until you have opened important files and signed in to essential accounts on the Vivo.

Use EasyShare Phone Clone: Android or iPhone to Vivo
Phone Clone is Vivo’s documented broad phone-to-phone route. The old phone acts as the source and the Vivo acts as the destination. The pairing step uses a QR code generated by the old phone.
Step 1: Start the transfer on the new Vivo
- Open EasyShare on the new Vivo.
- Choose New phone.
- When EasyShare asks for the old phone type, select Android or iPhone, according to the source handset.
Some models place EasyShare in the app drawer or a tools folder. If the label differs, search the Vivo’s apps for “EasyShare” and look for the Phone Clone option.
Step 2: Prepare the old phone
- Open EasyShare on the old phone.
- Choose Old phone.
- Allow the permissions EasyShare requests for the items you want to move. Refusing a permission can remove that category from the selectable data or prevent a file from being read.
The old phone will generate a QR code for the new Vivo to scan. The screens may describe the connection differently on different software versions, but the documented pairing action is QR scanning rather than manually typing a code.

Step 3: Pair the phones
- On the new Vivo, tap the QR-scanning control shown by EasyShare.
- Point the Vivo’s camera at the QR code displayed on the old phone.
- Keep both screens visible until EasyShare confirms that the devices are connected.
If the old phone has a screen lock, EasyShare may ask you to enter its PIN, password or pattern before proceeding. This is the old phone’s unlock credential, not a new transfer password.

Step 4: Choose what to copy
- Review the categories and individual items that EasyShare presents on the old phone.
- Clear anything you do not want on the Vivo, particularly large videos, duplicate downloads or data that already exists on the destination.
- Check the amount of space required against the Vivo’s available storage.
- Start the transfer only after reviewing the selection.
Vivo’s public instructions do not establish a universal list of supported categories for every model, region and app version. Use the selection screen on your specific phones as the authoritative list. Do not assume that every app, account, encrypted database or app-specific setting will migrate just because a related category appears.
Step 5: Let EasyShare finish
- Tap the transfer or start button shown by EasyShare.
- Keep the phones nearby, powered on and in the EasyShare flow until the completion message appears.
- Do not open other transfer utilities, restart either phone or erase the source while the progress indicator is active.
When the transfer reports completion, inspect the Vivo before disconnecting from the old phone. Open a representative sample of photos, videos, documents and contacts, and launch the most important apps.
Important limitations after a Phone Clone transfer
Some apps may need manual installation
Vivo warns that transferred apps may not install automatically because of permission limitations. In regional instructions, those app packages can appear under Files > Apps; open that location on the Vivo and install the needed apps manually. Android security prompts may require you to approve installation from that source. Install only apps you recognize and trust, then update them through their normal official store when possible.
An app icon appearing on the Vivo does not prove that its account session, local database or protected content transferred. Reopen each important app, sign in through its normal method and follow the app’s own restore procedure when offered.

Matching app data can be overwritten
Vivo’s manual states that data for the same apps on the new phone will be overwritten when the transfer completes. If an app is already configured on the Vivo, review whether the old phone’s copy should replace it. Export or back up valuable destination data first, and deselect that app or category if preserving the Vivo’s existing state matters more.
iPhone content is not guaranteed to have Android parity
Selecting iPhone on the new Vivo identifies the source type and starts Vivo’s supported setup; it is not a promise that every iPhone app, app database, account token or protected media format will become usable on Android. After the transfer, verify contacts, photos, videos, notes and other items individually. For data controlled by an app or cloud service, use that service’s own export or sign-in process if EasyShare does not present it.
Encrypted information needs special care
Encryption and device-security protections can prevent ordinary cloning or backup tools from reading certain records. Never disable a security control merely to force a transfer. For banking, password-manager, authenticator and encrypted-messaging apps, use the provider’s documented migration or recovery workflow and retain recovery codes before wiping the old phone.
What to do when Phone Clone cannot connect or stops
The QR code will not scan
- Increase the screen brightness on the old phone and clean both camera lenses and screens.
- Hold the Vivo steady at a comfortable distance so the entire QR code is inside the scanning frame.
- Close EasyShare on both phones and reopen it, then recreate the Old phone/New phone pairing.
- Confirm that you selected the correct source type on the Vivo. An iPhone source and an Android source use different setup choices.
The phones disconnect during transfer
- Keep both devices close and prevent either screen from locking during the operation.
- Plug in both phones if their batteries are low.
- Temporarily pause large downloads, hotspot changes or aggressive battery-saving modes that could stop EasyShare in the background.
- Retry with a smaller selection. Begin with contacts and a modest group of files, then move larger media in a separate pass.
The transfer completes but files or apps are missing
- Return to the old phone’s EasyShare selection and check whether the missing category was selected and permitted.
- Look in Files > Apps on the Vivo for apps that require manual installation.
- Open the relevant app and use its own restore, export or account-sync option.
- Check available storage; a destination that ran out of space may have accepted only part of a selection.
The Vivo contains unexpected replacements
For app data, compare the app’s current state with any backup made before transfer. Matching app data on the destination can be overwritten by the old phone’s copy, so stop using the affected app until you decide which version to keep. If you cannot recover the previous destination state, contact that app’s support service rather than repeatedly cloning over it.

Choosing between Phone Clone, individual file transfer and a PC
EasyShare includes more than one transfer workflow. Choose according to whether you need a broad migration, a few files or a computer-based backup.

Use Send/Accept for a few files
Open EasyShare’s file-transfer area, choose Send on the source and Accept on the receiving phone, then select the files to share. The exact button placement can differ by version. This route is useful for a folder of photos or documents when you do not want to merge app data or other categories on the Vivo.
Use the PC workflow for a separate backup
Vivo documents EasyShare on PC with USB or Wi-Fi. Follow the version-specific prompts to connect the phone, create a backup, and restore it to the Vivo when appropriate. Treat that backup as an additional safety copy, not proof that every phone record has been preserved: encrypted data is excluded from the documented PC backup method. Keep the backup until you have verified the restored content.

Use the checklist below after EasyShare reports completion. It catches failures that a completion banner cannot reveal.
- Place a test call and send a text message from the Vivo.
- Open Contacts and search for several entries, including one with a photo or multiple numbers.
- Open recent photos, older photos, videos and at least one document from different folders.
- Check calendar entries, alarms and notes if they were included in your selection.
- Launch essential apps such as messaging, email, banking, password management and two-factor authentication. Complete each app’s own sign-in or restore process.
- Confirm that cloud-synchronized services have finished syncing over your normal connection.
- Review the Vivo’s storage and battery behavior; a large media library may continue indexing after the transfer.
- Locate recovery codes and confirm that you can unlock the Vivo without relying on the old phone.
Only after these checks should you sign out of accounts on the old phone, remove its SIM or eSIM according to your carrier’s instructions, perform a factory reset and prepare it for disposal or handover. A reset is irreversible, so retain the old device until every important item is verified.
Questions Vivo’s menus may not answer clearly
Does Phone Clone require a mobile-data plan or home internet?
The documented flow establishes QR pairing between the two phones but does not provide a universal network requirement for every model and EasyShare version. Follow the connection prompt shown by your devices. Avoid switching Wi-Fi or hotspot settings while a transfer is active, and do not assume that an internet connection is needed for the local pairing itself.
Is there a universal file-size limit?
Vivo’s available instructions do not establish one file-size limit that applies to every phone, region and software version. If a very large file fails, check free destination storage and retry it separately with both phones powered and nearby.

Do not assume that it performs a conflict-free merge. Because Vivo states that matching app data on the destination can be overwritten, decide which phone is the authoritative source and back up the Vivo before importing data from the other device.
Will every app keep its login and private data?
No universal guarantee is established. App installation, account sessions, encrypted stores and app-specific backups are controlled by the app and the operating system. Expect to sign in again and use each provider’s migration process where necessary.
