The most defensible way to decide what to sell is to check your own server’s current listings, start with items marked tradable, and compare each item’s lowest unit price, competing listings, and observation time. Those figures are asking prices, not proof that buyers completed purchases, so use them to choose what to test—not as guaranteed profit.
What the available market evidence actually supports
AION2.MARKET reports observed listings for European AION 2 markets and repeatedly cautions that its figures are not confirmed sales or real-time prices. Its market beta covers European Elyos and Asmodian markets, and coverage is partial. A missing observation may mean the site has not captured that item or server, not that the item has no value.

The site says it checked 8,182 item pages against the official Global EU catalogue on 5 October 2026. Of those catalogue entries, 1,691 were marked tradable in Global EU. These are catalogue counts, not counts of items currently listed, sold, or profitable. The catalogue also notes that some Global-exclusive items may not yet have been found and that recipe relationships are initial references whose validity for Global EU is unconfirmed.

Because no published source establishes completed-sale volume, sell-through rates, fees, or net profit, it is not possible to rank materials, consumables, weapons, armour, accessories, appearances, pets, titles, or other categories as consistently superior. Treat the categories as a checklist for finding candidates rather than as a profitability ranking.

How to identify a worthwhile item, step by step
1. Filter for tradable items first
Begin in the item catalogue or your in-game inventory and filter for entries marked tradable. AION2.MARKET says its tradable property follows the official Global EU catalogue. That flag is only a starting point: the market page warns that an item being marked tradable does not guarantee that a listing is currently available or that your character can list it under the present rules.
- Open the item’s detailed information.
- Confirm that the item is marked tradable rather than bound, character-bound, or otherwise restricted.
- Attempt to open the game’s listing interface and verify that the specific copy can be selected.
- If the item fails the in-game check, remove it from your sell list even if a catalogue entry labels it tradable.
2. Select the exact market
Prices and histories on AION2.MARKET belong to the selected European server. Check the server and faction before recording any number. A price observed on an Elyos market should not be carried over to an Asmodian market, and neither should be treated as a price for another server. If your server is not represented, label the item “no local observation” rather than importing a number from elsewhere.
3. Record price, competition, and time together
For every candidate, write down the lowest listed unit price, the number of active competing listings, and the timestamp shown by the source. The three values answer different questions:
- Lowest unit price: the visible asking price at which a seller is currently competing.
- Competing listings: how many other offers a buyer can see before reaching yours.
- Observation time: how fresh the snapshot is and whether the market may have moved since it was captured.
A low price with many competing listings is not automatically attractive. It may indicate intense competition, a large supply of the item, or simply a stale snapshot. Conversely, a high visible price with one listing is not proof that buyers accept it. The available figures are listings, not completed transactions.
4. Check whether the price is per unit or for a stack
Compare like with like. Record the unit price when the interface shows a stack, and note the stack size separately. A large stack can look expensive while having a low unit value; a single item can look cheap while being costly per unit. Do not compare a per-stack figure with a per-item figure.
5. Recheck immediately before listing
Listings can change between your first check and the moment you post. Refresh the selected server, confirm the current lowest unit price, and count active competitors again. AION2.MARKET explicitly says its observations are not real-time, so use its data to narrow your choices and verify the final number in the game.
A practical comparison sheet
Use one row per candidate item. Leave a field as “not stated” when the source does not provide it; do not infer a sale or profit.

1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute| Decision field | What to record | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Tradable and listable | Catalogue flag plus in-game confirmation | Reject an item that cannot be listed, regardless of its apparent value. |
| Server and faction | Exact European server and Elyos or Asmodian market | Prevents carrying a price from a different market. |
| Lowest unit price | Current visible asking price | Sets your competitive reference, not a guaranteed sale price. |
| Active listings | Number of competing offers | Shows how crowded the market is at that observation. |
| Observation time | Date and time of the snapshot | Helps you judge whether a figure may already be stale. |
| Completed-sale evidence | Confirmed transaction data, if any | Currently not established by the cited market sources; do not claim demand from listing data alone. |
| Fees and net proceeds | Any in-game listing or transaction deductions | Not established in the available material; calculate only after the game displays the applicable charge. |
How to use each item category
Materials
Materials are a sensible first search because players may need them for crafting or upgrades, but the available evidence does not show that materials sell faster or for more Kina than other categories. Check the exact material, its stack size, and the number of competing stacks on your server.
Consumables
Consumables can have repeat-use potential, yet visible listings do not prove a steady buying rate. Compare unit prices and stack sizes, and avoid assuming that a high asking price means frequent demand.
Weapons, armour, and accessories
Equipment often differs by level, enhancement, class, or binding status. Confirm that the specific item—not merely the base name—is tradable and listable. Compare equivalent versions only; a price for one level or enhancement should not be used for another.
Appearances, pets, and titles
Cosmetic and identity items may appeal to a narrower audience. A sparse market can produce a high visible price without evidence of regular sales. Treat these as test listings and monitor whether competing offers change, rather than assuming scarcity equals profit.
Other catalogue entries
Use the same checks for any remaining category. The catalogue’s breadth is useful for discovery, but no category-wide profitability ranking has been established.
A simple decision rule for choosing what to list
After collecting the five core fields, sort candidates into three groups:
- Ready to test: tradable and confirmed listable in-game, with a current observation for your server and manageable competition.
- Watch: tradable, but the observation is old, the server is missing, or the market is crowded enough that your listing would be difficult to distinguish.
- Reject for now: not listable, bound, or supported only by a price from another server or faction.
For a ready-to-test item, price against the current lowest unit listing only after checking your own stack size and any displayed fee. Start with a quantity you can afford to leave listed. Record the listing time and revisit the market rather than committing your entire supply based on one snapshot.
Rank #2

Worked example without inventing a “best item”
Suppose you are comparing a crafting material and a cosmetic item on the same European server. The material is marked tradable, has a fresh local observation, and has several competing listings. The cosmetic is also marked tradable, but its last observation is older and only one listing is visible. The material has stronger evidence for a current competitive reference because its server, time, and competition are clearer. That still does not prove it will sell first: neither row contains completed-sale data.

Membership and economy rules to verify
An AION2 Team economy announcement reproduced on Reddit describes the Market as player-driven, with players setting Kina prices, and states that an active Membership is required to trade. That announcement described the planned global economy before launch. Verify the current rule for your region in-game or through the latest official notices before buying items for resale or preparing a large listing batch.
Do not assume that a catalogue flag, an old announcement, or a third-party market snapshot overrides the rules shown by your current client. Region, server, edition, and post-launch policy changes can affect whether trading is available.
Common mistakes and how to recover
Using another server’s price
Symptom: your item is priced from a screenshot or listing on a different server or faction. Fix: discard that number and capture the selected server’s current lowest unit listing.
Treating an asking price as a sale
Symptom: you call an item a best seller because one expensive offer is visible. Fix: describe it only as an observed listing unless the game or source provides completed-sale evidence.
Ignoring stale or partial coverage
Symptom: no market result is interpreted as zero value. Fix: check the game directly and note that AION2.MARKET coverage is partial and not real-time.
Skipping the in-game listing test
Symptom: an item is marked tradable in a catalogue but cannot be selected for sale. Fix: trust the current in-game restriction for that copy and remove it from your candidate list.
Comparing stacks incorrectly
Symptom: a large stack appears more profitable than single units. Fix: divide by stack quantity and compare unit prices, while recording the total stack price separately.
Forgetting fees or access requirements
Symptom: the visible price looks profitable but the final return is lower or trading is unavailable. Fix: check the fee shown at listing time and confirm any active Membership requirement before committing resources.
Keeping a personal sell list
Markets move, so maintain a small log rather than relying on memory. For each item, record the server, faction, lowest unit price, listing count, observation time, your listed quantity, and the result when you next check. This creates your own history without pretending that a third-party snapshot proves a sale.
Remove an item from the list when its tradability changes, the game blocks listing, or the local market disappears. Add it back only after a fresh in-game confirmation. Over time, your log can show which items remain competitively priced on your server, but it still cannot establish a universal AION 2 best-seller ranking for other players or servers.
Bottom line
The items worth testing in the AION 2 Auction House are the ones that are confirmed tradable and listable on your server, have a recent local price observation, and face competition you can realistically undercut or match. Materials, consumables, equipment, cosmetics, pets, titles, and other categories all belong on the candidate checklist, not in a fixed ranking. Use asking prices as market signals, verify the live in-game listing, account for any displayed charges and access rules, and treat every result as server-specific and time-sensitive.
