If you want the lowest listed price or a laptop that folds into tablet mode, the Acer Googlebook 14 is the clearest pick. Choose the XPS Googlebook for a light, compact clamshell; the Lenovo Googlebook 15 for a larger OLED screen; and consider the ASUS or HP only after checking their current specifications and prices, which are reported here from secondary coverage. Googlebooks are designed around Gemini features and Android-phone integration, but an Android phone is not stated to be a requirement.

What should you buy?

  • For the lowest verified listed price or tablet flexibility: Acer Googlebook 14. Google Store lists it at $899 and it is the only convertible among the five models described here.
  • For a light, small-screen clamshell: XPS Googlebook. Google’s listing gives it a 13.4-inch display and 2.2-pound weight.
  • For the most built-in screen space: Lenovo Googlebook 15, with a 15.3-inch OLED display. It is also the heaviest of the three models with current Google specifications in this comparison.
  • For a lightweight OLED option: Techlicious describes the ASUS Googlebook 14 as a 2.2-pound model, but verify its live configuration before buying.
  • If claimed battery life is your priority: Techlicious reports the HP Googlebook 14 at up to 19 hours. That is a secondary-source estimate, not a controlled comparison with the other models.

Which Googlebook is right for you depends more on screen size, convertible design, portability and verified configuration than on a simple processor ranking. Google’s current comparison pages retrieved for this article list Acer, XPS and Lenovo; ASUS and HP details below come from Techlicious’s September 29, 2026 comparison and should not be treated as confirmed live listings.

Which model fits your priorities?

Acer Googlebook 14: lower listed price and convertible flexibility

The Acer is the most direct choice if you want a hinge that lets you fold the display into tablet mode, or want the least expensive of the three Google Store listings compared here. Its 14-inch OLED touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16GB memory and 512GB SSD make the listed configuration straightforward to compare. Google also specifies USI 2.0 stylus support; the listing does not establish that a stylus is included.

XPS Googlebook: a compact, light clamshell

At 2.2 pounds with a 13.4-inch touchscreen, XPS is the most compact of the three officially specified Google Store models in this comparison. Its panel is an IPS LCD rather than OLED, with a listed variable refresh rate of 30–120Hz. Google identifies a Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 processor in the retrieved configuration.

Price needs attention: Google’s specification listing accessed 2026-10-07 shows $1,199, while Techlicious’s earlier comparison reported a $999 starting price. Treat the live retailer listing as the figure to verify at purchase, not the older starting price.

Lenovo Googlebook 15: prioritize the larger built-in display

The Lenovo’s 15.3-inch OLED is the largest panel among these five descriptions, which can be useful when you want more workspace without relying on an external monitor. It also includes facial authentication and a physical camera shutter, according to Google’s specification page. Its 2.824-pound weight and 13-hour maximum browsing estimate are the highest weight and lowest estimate among Acer, XPS and Lenovo as listed by Google.

ASUS and HP: interesting claims, but verify their live configurations

Techlicious’s September 29, 2026 comparison describes ASUS as a 2.2-pound 14-inch OLED option with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, and HP as a 2.74-pound 14-inch OLED model with Snapdragon X Elite. It reports $1,299 starting prices for both, plus claimed battery estimates of up to 16 hours for ASUS and 19 hours for HP. These are secondary-source figures; current manufacturer prices and exact configurations were not established in the listings cited here.

How to read the battery-life numbers

Battery figures are maximum estimates, not independently verified head-to-head results. Google says its 2026 estimates are based on internal tests using pre-release software and hardware. Its support page describes portfolio-level claims of up to 14 hours of video playback and up to 16 hours of web browsing; Google’s model comparison lists up to 13 hours of browsing for Lenovo, 18 for XPS and 16 for Acer. Techlicious reports up to 16 hours for ASUS and 19 for HP. Because the claims come from different source presentations and no independent controlled comparison is established, they cannot reliably show which model lasts longest in the same real-world workload.

What Googlebook adds for Android users

Google describes Googlebooks as laptops designed around Gemini Intelligence and integration with Pixel and other Android phones. Its product page highlights accessing phone apps directly from the laptop and finding phone files on the laptop. That can make the line more appealing if you already use Android, but the official pages cited here do not say an Android phone is mandatory.

  • Intel Celeron N4120: 4 Cores & Threads, 1.1GHz Base Clock, Up to 2.6GHz Boost Clock, 4MB Cache, Intel UHD Graphics 600. The perfect combination of performance, power consumption, and value helps your device handle multitasking smoothly and reliably with four processing cores to divide up the work.

Techlicious also describes line features called Magic Pointer, Glowbar and Rambler. Its article reports that Magic Pointer brings Gemini interaction to on-screen content; it attributes to Google an explanation that initial screen analysis is local and information goes to Gemini in the cloud only after a request is submitted. This is a reported explanation, not an independent privacy assessment, and the cited material does not establish complete documentation for every feature.

Check before you buy

  1. Decide whether you need a convertible hinge, the lightest listed design, or the largest built-in screen.
  2. Compare the exact configuration and current price on the manufacturer’s live product page. Google’s retrieved comparison covers Acer, XPS and Lenovo, while ASUS and HP figures cited here are from Techlicious’s September 29, 2026 guide.
  3. Read battery claims as test-based estimates, not a promise of your runtime. Your workload and settings can produce different results.
  4. If Android integration matters, confirm that the apps and phone files you rely on work with the advertised features for your devices and region.
