The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and India-market vivo S2 5G make different specification trade-offs: Samsung lists a more versatile rear-camera setup and security updates through 31 October 2031, while vivo lists a larger display, a 7,050mAh typical battery, 44W charging and a 32MP front camera. A firm current price winner is unclear because available India price snapshots conflict. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not results from a hands-on or controlled comparison.

Which phone has the better camera?
Rear-camera flexibility
On listed hardware, the S24 FE offers more kinds of rear-camera coverage: its main camera is joined by an ultrawide and a telephoto with 3× optical zoom specified by Samsung. The S2 lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh/depth camera. That gives the S24 FE the more versatile stated rear-camera configuration; it does not establish which phone takes better photos.

Front-camera resolution
The vivo S2 has the higher stated selfie-camera resolution at 32MP, compared with 10MP on the S24 FE. Megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality, so treat this as a specification distinction rather than a photo-quality verdict.
Which has the bigger display?
vivo lists the S2 with a 6.83-inch, 1260 × 2800 panel, compared with the S24 FE’s 6.7-inch, 1080 × 2340 Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120Hz. The S2 is larger and has the higher stated resolution; Samsung specifies its display technology more precisely in the cited India specifications.
Rank #2
- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Which phone has the bigger battery and faster charging?
vivo specifies a 7,050mAh typical battery and 44W charging for the S2. Samsung specifies a 4,700mAh typical battery for the S24 FE and lists up to 28 hours of wireless video playback. The capacity figures favor the S2 on paper, but they do not establish real-world battery life: screen use, network conditions, software and other factors affect endurance, and no controlled head-to-head test is established here.

How do software-support promises compare?
Samsung lists security-update validity through 31 October 2031 for the S24 FE. vivo states that the S2 will receive three generations of OS updates and five years of security updates. These commitments use different wording, so compare them as manufacturer promises rather than assuming their update schedules are identical. See Samsung’s India model page and vivo’s S2 product page.

What is the price difference?
The available India snapshots do not support a settled price difference. At the time reflected on the 91mobiles comparison page, the S24 FE was shown at ₹39,999 and the S2 at ₹39,900—a ₹99 difference. However, vivo’s official store listing showed ₹42,999 for the S2 8GB/128GB, ₹3,000 above the comparison page’s S24 FE figure. These are not necessarily like-for-like offers, and prices, stock and discounts can change.
Before deciding on price, compare the same storage capacity and check the seller, new or refurbished condition, warranty, shipping, stock, bank offers and exchange discounts. Samsung’s India product page gives a launch date of 27 September 2024, but does not establish a current selling price. The comparison snapshot should not be treated as a live quote.
Rank #4
- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Which phone suits your priorities?
- Consider the Galaxy S24 FE if a dedicated telephoto and ultrawide camera, Samsung’s stated security-update validity through October 2031, or Samsung’s software ecosystem matter most.
- Consider the vivo S2 5G if the listed larger, higher-resolution display, higher battery capacity, 44W charging or 32MP front-camera resolution better matches your priorities.
- Compare local availability carefully if you are outside India. The cited S2 specifications and store listing are India-specific; confirm the exact regional model, carrier-band compatibility, seller and warranty before buying.
The chipset specifications identify different processors, but without matched, current independent testing they do not establish a performance winner. Likewise, hardware specifications cannot substitute for comparable camera or battery testing.
