Confirmed PS5 Pro games with Sony-announced upgraded PSSR include SILENT HILL 2, Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Monster Hunter Wilds, and the other titles listed below. The roster is not complete: Sony said more than 50 PS5 Pro games used original PSSR by February 27, 2026, but did not publish a full current title-by-title list. Support and upgrade timing depend on each game’s version.
What PSSR support means on PS5 Pro
PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) is an AI upscaling feature for PS5 Pro. Sony describes it as analyzing game images pixel by pixel while upscaling them. A game can support the original PSSR without yet having a specific integration of Sony’s upgraded version.

Sony’s upgraded PSSR aims to improve image stability, fine detail, and consistency. Developers can integrate the updated library into a game. Sony also offers an optional system setting called “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” for PS5 Pro games that already support PSSR. Sony cautions that results vary by title, and the setting can be turned off if unexpected visual effects appear. Sony’s upgraded-PSSR announcement explains the rollout and named games.

Games Sony has named for upgraded PSSR
The following are confirmed examples from Sony announcements, not an exhaustive compatibility list. A launch or patch condition is included where Sony stated one; check the latest game update because an announcement does not by itself confirm that a rollout has completed.

For the original feature, Sony reported that more than 50 PS5 Pro titles used PSSR as of February 27, 2026. That is a dated count, not the number of games supported today, and it does not identify every title. Sony’s February 27 announcement describes the wider rollout.

Check the game’s PS5 Pro update notes or a Sony announcement for the exact title. Look for whether the wording refers to original PSSR or upgraded PSSR, and note any required game version or patch. A title’s appearance on the list above means Sony named it in connection with upgraded PSSR; it does not establish that every graphics mode uses it or that the update is installed on your copy.
If a game already supports original PSSR, the system’s “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” option may apply improved PSSR without a title-specific upgraded-library integration. Sony says results vary by game. Compare the available graphics modes and image quality in motion rather than assuming a universal improvement or a particular performance gain.

How to try “Enhance PSSR Image Quality”
- On PS5 Pro, open Settings.
- Choose Screen and Video, then Video Output.
- Find Enhance PSSR Image Quality and turn it on for a supported game.
- Check the game in the graphics mode you normally use. If you see unexpected visual effects, turn the option off.
This system option is for games that already support PSSR; it is not a way to add PSSR support to an incompatible game. For title-specific upgraded support, install the relevant game update or use the version that includes the feature at launch.
Do not confuse PSSR with QSSR
QSSR (Quick Spectral Super Resolution) is a separate, faster AI-upscaling tier announced for the base PS5 on October 1, 2026. Sony named Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei as its first QSSR titles. Their QSSR announcements do not establish PS5 Pro PSSR support. See Sony’s QSSR announcement.
