If you do not have Limitless, keep Blood Manipulation as the best balanced alternative. Pick Shrine for burst damage, Projection Sorcery for aggressive combo play, or Star Rage for a steadier, tankier approach.

Quick recommendation by playstyle
| Technique | Best beginner use | Why choose it | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Limitless | General PvE and leveling | Reliable kit, flexible jobs and forgiving progression | Availability may depend on your rolls; advanced variants can change over time |
| Blood Manipulation | Balanced first build | Good general-purpose route when Limitless is unavailable | Less specialized than the strongest burst or combo choices |
| Shrine | Fast burst kills | Offense-first play can end encounters quickly | Less forgiving when attacks miss or cooldowns leave you exposed |
| Projection Sorcery | Aggressive combos | Rewards timing, movement and stringing attacks together | Execution-heavy for a new player |
| Star Rage | Steady, tankier play | Comfortable for players who value survivability and consistency | May clear more slowly than a dedicated burst kit |
| Disaster Flames | Damage-focused PvE | Listed in S tier and suited to players who want strong offense | Its beginner fit depends on your ability to manage attacks and downtime |
The tier table from the June 2026 Jujutsu Zero Wiki lists Limitless, Shrine, Disaster Flames and Mythical Beast Amber in S tier; Blood Manipulation, Disaster Tides, Projection Sorcery, Star Rage and Ratio in A tier; and Cursed Speech, Exploding Flesh and Straw Doll in B tier. Treat that as community guidance, not a permanent balance guarantee.
Why Limitless is the safest starting point
A cursed technique is more than a rarity label. Every kit has jobs: an opener that starts a fight, an extender that keeps a combo going, a finisher, control, movement, defense or utility. Limitless is recommended for beginners because it can cover several of those jobs without requiring a narrowly optimized build. That flexibility matters while you are still learning enemy patterns, camera control, range and stamina management.

The community guide describes Limitless as efficient and strong in general PvE. A beginner can therefore concentrate on learning positioning and one dependable sequence instead of constantly compensating for a missing role. It is also easier to build around: your first upgrades can improve the technique you already use, rather than forcing an immediate investment into several unrelated systems.
Limitless is not automatically the best choice for every player. If you dislike its timing, cannot read its range on your device, or prefer a completely different combat rhythm, a lower-ranked technique may perform better in your hands. The practical test is whether you can open safely, convert a hit, recover from a miss and survive while your signature move is on cooldown.
Choose according to the way you want to play
Pick Blood Manipulation for a balanced route
Blood Manipulation is the recommended alternative when Limitless is unavailable or does not suit you. It sits in A tier and offers a less specialized progression path: you can learn ordinary encounters, test solo content and join groups without committing entirely to burst, tanking or high-speed combo execution.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Keep it if your current kit already clears repeatable leveling content and you can handle a difficult solo encounter with reasonable consistency. Do not reroll merely because a tier list places it below Limitless. A technique you understand, have already mastered and can use comfortably may outperform a theoretically stronger kit that you cannot execute.
Pick Shrine for burst damage
Shrine is the offense-first choice. It is suited to players who want to shorten fights by converting openings into large damage windows. That style is attractive for bosses and fast farming, but it demands better judgment: a missed opener, a wasted finisher or a cooldown at the wrong moment can leave you without a safe answer.
Choose Shrine when you are comfortable identifying attack windows and accepting a more aggressive risk profile. In early progression, keep a fallback plan for ordinary enemies instead of building around a single signature move.

Pick Projection Sorcery for combo-focused combat
Projection Sorcery is aimed at aggressive strings and timing-heavy play. Its appeal is not simply its tier placement; it is the feeling of chaining movement and attacks while maintaining pressure. New players should expect a learning curve because the value of the kit depends on execution, timing and recognizing when a combo should end.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIt is a good choice if you enjoy practicing inputs and improving through repetition. It is a poor first choice if you want a forgiving leveling tool that works with minimal setup.
Pick Star Rage for steadier survivability
Star Rage fits players who prefer a tankier, all-around build. The goal is not necessarily the fastest possible clear, but a stable pattern in which mistakes are less likely to end a run. That makes it attractive for solo players who are still learning enemy behavior or for anyone who values dependable damage over highlight-reel burst.
Expect a steadier pace rather than assuming every encounter will be the fastest. Your device, gear and execution can matter more than the letter grade once you reach content that tests survival.
Consider Disaster Flames, Mythical Beast Amber and other options carefully
Disaster Flames and Mythical Beast Amber are in the S-tier group in the June 2026 table, while Disaster Tides and Ratio are in A tier. Cursed Speech, Exploding Flesh and Straw Doll are listed in B tier, with Cursed Speech specifically associated with situational utility. These placements tell you how the community currently views broad power; they do not establish permanent damage values, drop rates or mastery costs.
If one of these techniques is already on your character, test it before spending rerolls. A lower-ranked kit may still provide the opener, control or movement option your team needs. Conversely, an S-tier technique can feel weak if its range, timing or cooldown pattern does not match your device and habits.

Use this decision tree before rerolling
- Want the safest general recommendation? Keep or roll toward Limitless.
- Do not have Limitless but want a flexible first build? Try Blood Manipulation.
- Want fast burst kills and accept an offense-first style? Try Shrine or Disaster Flames.
- Want aggressive strings and timing-intensive combat? Try Projection Sorcery.
- Want steadier survivability and damage? Try Star Rage.
- Already own another technique? Test it in real content before rerolling. Change one variable at a time so you can tell whether the problem is access, build, execution or missing information.
Preserve enough currency and other resources to make an informed choice later. The beginner guide advises learning one reliable combat sequence first rather than spending everything before you understand how your current kit functions.
How to test a technique fairly
Do not judge a kit from a single flashy skill or a training dummy. The technique guide recommends three contexts, with your level, gear, target and device held as constant as possible:
- Repeatable leveling: Run the ordinary activity you will farm most often. Record whether you can start fights safely, clear groups without exhausting every cooldown and recover after a miss.
- Hard solo encounter: Test a difficult fight without teammates covering your weaknesses. Check survival, reliable damage during short openings and what happens when your signature move is unavailable.
- Group or raid play: Join content where allies may provide damage, control or protection. Look for a useful role rather than duplicate damage: safe opening attacks, finishing power, control, mobility or utility can all matter.
Keep the target, equipment, level and device stable between tests. If you change your technique, gear and stats at the same time, you cannot identify what improved. Also compare the entire cooldown cycle: a kit that looks excellent during its first rotation may feel poor if it has no useful action afterward.

Build and investment order for a new character
The practical early order recommended by the current guide is:
- Invest in one main damage technique. Establish a dependable source of damage before spreading resources across several options.
- Make only the clan rerolls you actually need. Rerolling indefinitely can leave you unable to upgrade the technique you already use.
- Raise mastery for that technique. Learn its range, recovery and cooldown rhythm while your investment is concentrated.
- Unlock a second technique slot. Add coverage for a weakness—such as control, movement or a safer opener—rather than selecting a duplicate role.
- Spend on vows and stats after the core kit works. These choices matter more once you know which actions you perform repeatedly and which limitation is slowing you down.
This order is a framework, not a fixed cost chart. No authoritative permanent mastery-cost table was established, and beta updates can change requirements. Follow the current in-game prompt for the exact amount and prerequisite shown on your account.
Is Limitless worth rerolling for?
Usually, yes—if you are still early in progression, have enough resources left for your planned build and want a general PvE technique. The community guide calls it one of the safest choices in Jujutsu: Zero right now because of its efficiency, broad PvE strength and accessibility to newer players.

Rerolling is not automatically correct when you have already invested heavily in another technique. First ask four questions:
- Can the current technique clear your normal leveling activity?
- Can you complete a hard solo encounter by changing your approach rather than relying on one move?
- Does it offer a useful role in group or raid content?
- Do you have enough remaining resources to rebuild if the reroll fails?
If the answers are mostly yes, keep testing before replacing it. If the answers are no and your resources are still recoverable, Limitless is the strongest general target. Blood Manipulation is the sensible stopping point if you want a balanced build without continuing to chase one specific roll.

| Group or raid play | Limitless or the role your team lacks | Blood Manipulation, Shrine, Projection Sorcery or utility-focused options | Team contribution, uptime and usefulness when another player covers damage |
There is no published authoritative damage or raid ranking that makes one technique universally best. Your role, teammates, connection, controls and device comfort can outweigh a one-step difference in a community tier list.
Beta-specific cautions and current Limitless variants
The current official Roblox listing is described by the June 2026 guide as confirming Awakened Limitless and Limitless V2, seven skills, “200% Output Hollow Purple” and “Hollow Nuke,” with related items connected to the Honored One Overworld Raid. It does not provide a complete acquisition formula or guarantee permanent values for those features.
Verify requirements, skill names, prices, mastery thresholds and raid availability directly in the live interface. Do not spend resources based solely on an old screenshot or a guide written before the current beta build. If the client’s prompt conflicts with an older chart, the live prompt is the safer reference.
Common beginner mistakes
Chasing tier letters instead of a usable kit
A tier is an aggregate community judgment, not a promise that every player will clear faster. Evaluate the jobs your kit performs and whether you can execute them under pressure.
Best Value
Building around one signature move
Every technique has downtime. Plan what you do while the strongest attack is recharging: a safe basic sequence, movement, control or defense. A complete rotation is more important than a single impressive number.
Changing several variables at once
Do not reroll, replace gear and reset stats simultaneously if you are trying to diagnose a problem. Test one change, repeat the same activity and note the result.
Ignoring device comfort
Camera sensitivity, input latency and screen size affect timing and aim. A technique that is theoretically stronger may be less effective if its combos are difficult to perform consistently on your device.
Assuming beta values are permanent
Patch notes, prompts and live tooltips can supersede community tables. Recheck your technique after major updates, especially before committing rare resources.
Bottom line
For most beginners, Limitless is the best first target because it combines reliable PvE performance with a flexible, forgiving learning path. Keep Blood Manipulation when you want a balanced alternative. Choose Shrine for burst, Projection Sorcery for demanding combos and Star Rage for steadier survivability. Test what you already own in leveling, solo and group content before rerolling, and use the live beta client—not an old tier chart—as the final authority.
