Which APN Settings Does Red Pocket Mobile Need? GSMA, GSMT and CDMA Guide (2026)

Red Pocket’s APN depends on your network. GSMA uses ERESELLER, GSMT uses WHOLESALE, and the current configure page directs CDMA customers to automatic SIM provisioning.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Red Pocket Mobile uses different APN profiles depending on the network assigned to your line. For GSMA, the current APN is ERESELLER. For GSMT, it is WHOLESALE. Those profiles also have different MMS, MNC, APN type and protocol values. Red Pocket’s current configure page says CDMA has no manual APN settings; remove and reinsert the SIM to trigger automatic setup.

Identify your network before changing anything. Entering a valid-looking APN for the wrong Red Pocket network can leave mobile data or picture messaging unusable. Automatic configuration should normally arrive after activation, so manual entry is a recovery step rather than the first step.

Quick answer: use the profile assigned to your line

Check the network shown beside your phone number in your Red Pocket account, then use only the corresponding row below. Red Pocket associates GSMA with AT&T-compatible service, GSMT with T-Mobile-compatible service and CDMA with Verizon-compatible service. These are Red Pocket’s indicators; your account and SIM information take priority if they disagree.

Red Pocket network Current APN Protocol Key MMS configuration
GSMA ERESELLER IPv4/IPv6 MMSC http://mmsc.mobile.att.net; MMS proxy proxy.mobile.att.net; port 80
GSMT WHOLESALE IPv4 MMSC http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc; no MMS proxy or port
CDMA No manual APN on the current configure page Automatic setup Remove and reinsert the SIM; contact Red Pocket if setup does not complete

How to identify GSMA, GSMT or CDMA

Check your Red Pocket account

Sign in to your Red Pocket account and look beside your phone number for the network designation. This is the most direct way to determine which profile belongs to your line.

Use the SIM ICCID as a clue

If you cannot access the account, inspect the ICCID printed on the SIM or shown in the phone’s SIM information screen. Red Pocket lists these prefixes as network clues:

ICCID prefix Likely network Red Pocket’s associated compatibility
89014 GSMA AT&T-compatible
89012 GSMT T-Mobile-compatible
89148 CDMA Verizon-compatible

An ICCID prefix is an indicator, not a substitute for the line record. If the prefix, phone compatibility and account label do not match, do not guess. Ask Red Pocket to confirm the network before saving an APN.

Complete current manual APN values

The following values reproduce the fields on Red Pocket’s current configure page. “Not set” means leave the field blank; do not insert a proxy, username, password or other value from a different carrier. Field names and capitalization can vary slightly between Android manufacturers.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Field GSMA GSMT
Name RedPocket Mobile RedPocket Mobile
APN ERESELLER WHOLESALE
Proxy Not set Not set
Port Not set 8080
Username Not set Not set
Password Not set Not set
Server Not set Not set
MMSC http://mmsc.mobile.att.net http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy proxy.mobile.att.net Not set

MCC 310 310
MNC 410 280
Authentication type None None
APN type default,supl,mms,fota Default,mms,supl
APN protocol IPv4/IPv6 IPv4
Bearer Unspecified Unspecified

Keep the GSMT APN type’s capitalization as shown: Default, mms, supl. Android normally treats APN type values case-insensitively, but reproducing the provider’s entry avoids an unnecessary variable. Likewise, do not copy GSMA’s MMS proxy into a GSMT profile or GSMT’s port into GSMA. The profiles are not interchangeable.

What differs between the two profiles?

Both profiles use the name RedPocket Mobile, MCC 310, no authentication, and an unspecified bearer. The network-specific values are the APN itself, GSMT’s general port 8080, the MNC, MMSC address, MMS proxy and port, APN type, and IP protocol. GSMA is the only profile in this table with an MMS proxy and MMS port. GSMT is the only one with a value in the general Port field. These distinctions matter even when ordinary web browsing appears to work, because MMS uses the MMSC-related fields.

Do not create a hybrid by taking the APN from one column and the MMS values from another. Save the complete matching profile, select it, and test it with Wi‑Fi disabled. If the phone already contains several carrier profiles, make sure the selected radio button is next to the RedPocket Mobile entry for your network.

Try automatic configuration before manual entry

Complete activation and wait for the setup message

Finish online activation with the phone connected to a mobile or Wi-Fi connection as instructed by Red Pocket. Its configure page says to allow up to 15 minutes for a connection. The physical-SIM instructions use a 10-minute threshold before suggesting manual configuration. Those are page-specific guidelines, not a guaranteed service deadline; allow the setup process to finish before editing APNs.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Connect to Wi-Fi when manual setup is needed

Use Wi-Fi before opening the APN editor. This lets you download or receive configuration instructions while cellular data is unavailable and prevents a failed mobile connection from interrupting setup.

Reinsert the SIM when automatic setup has not arrived

For a physical SIM, power down or follow your phone’s safe SIM-removal procedure, eject the tray with the supplied ejector tool or a straightened paper clip, then reinsert the SIM. CDMA lines in particular rely on this step on the current configure page.

Set the APN on Android

  1. Connect the phone to Wi-Fi and confirm whether the line is GSMA or GSMT.
  2. Open Settings, then the menu named Mobile network, Cellular network or a similar network option.
  3. Choose Access Point Names (sometimes under SIMs or Mobile data).
  4. Tap Add, + or New APN. Enter the values from the matching table. Leave every field marked “Not set” blank.
  5. Open the menu and tap Save. Select the new RedPocket Mobile profile so its radio button is active.
  6. Return to the mobile-network screen, turn mobile data off and on, and test a web page with Wi-Fi disabled. If picture messages fail while ordinary data works, recheck only the MMSC, MMS proxy, MMS port and APN type for your network.

Android manufacturers move these controls and may lock them when the SIM or firmware supplies carrier settings. If the APN list is read-only, do not create random profiles or change MCC/MNC values; contact Red Pocket or the phone manufacturer for the supported method.

Set or check the APN on iPhone

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.
  3. Open Cellular Data Network or Mobile Data Network, if the option is available.
  4. Enter the fields for GSMA or GSMT exactly as listed. iOS may show separate sections for cellular data and MMS; place the MMSC, proxy and port in the MMS section where displayed.
  5. Leave the screen and test cellular data with Wi-Fi turned off. A restart may be requested by iOS after a carrier-profile change.

Some newer iPhones manage APN settings automatically and do not expose editable fields. Red Pocket’s calling-troubleshooting guidance says to skip manual APN checking on those models. If the cellular-network screen is absent or cannot be edited, use automatic carrier configuration and ask Red Pocket to resend or verify the line settings rather than trying an unofficial profile.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

CDMA: why Red Pocket’s pages differ

Red Pocket’s current configure page states that CDMA has no manual APN settings and instructs customers to remove and reinsert the SIM to trigger automatic setup. A separate Red Pocket troubleshooting page lists a CDMA APN of VZWINTERNET plus additional values. Because the provider’s pages are inconsistent, those CDMA values should not be treated as universally current.

For a CDMA line, use the account/network check, reinsert the SIM, keep the phone connected to Wi-Fi and wait for automatic provisioning. If data or MMS still does not work, tell support that the current configure page did not deliver settings and ask which values apply to your specific line and device. Do not combine the CDMA troubleshooting values with the GSMA or GSMT table.

After saving: verify data, calls, texts and MMS separately

Turn Wi‑Fi off so the test uses the Red Pocket connection. Open a simple web page first; this checks the APN’s ordinary data path. Then place a call and send a text, because successful registration for voice or SMS does not prove that packet data is configured. Finally, send or receive a picture message. MMS can fail independently when the MMSC, MMS proxy, MMS port or APN type is wrong, even if browsing works.

Record exactly what fails and what succeeds before contacting support. “Data fails but calls and texts work” points support toward provisioning or APN details, while a phone that does not recognize the SIM may need a SIM or device investigation instead. Always repeat the test with Wi‑Fi disabled; otherwise a working Wi‑Fi connection can hide an unresolved cellular-data problem.

Why Red Pocket data may still fail after an APN change

The profile does not match the line

Recheck the account network label first. A GSMA line needs the GSMA profile, and a GSMT line needs the GSMT profile. An ICCID prefix that conflicts with the account is a reason to pause and contact Red Pocket, not to try both profiles repeatedly.

The phone has not completed provisioning

Manual APN entry cannot replace an incomplete activation. Confirm that activation finished, allow the page-specific waiting period, reinsert a physical SIM when appropriate and keep Wi-Fi available for configuration messages.

A field was filled that should be blank

Remove guessed proxy, username, password, server, MMS or bearer values. Save only the fields shown for your network. In particular, GSMA uses an MMS proxy and port while GSMT leaves those fields unset; GSMT uses port 8080 in the general Port field, not the MMS port.

APN is not the only possible cause

Red Pocket’s troubleshooting guidance also directs customers to check line and network identity and basic connection conditions. Confirm that the intended SIM is active, the phone recognizes it, mobile data is enabled and the device has usable network service. If calls and texts work but data does not, provide support with the network shown in your account, phone model, operating-system version and the exact symptoms.

When to contact Red Pocket

  • Your account network and SIM prefix point to different networks.
  • Automatic setup has not arrived after activation and SIM reinsertion.
  • The phone does not offer an editable APN screen.
  • Data remains unavailable after selecting the correct profile and testing with Wi-Fi disabled.
  • MMS fails even though the profile’s MMSC, proxy, port and APN type match the table.
  • You have a CDMA line and need manual values despite the current configure page’s automatic-only instruction.

Give support the line’s network designation, ICCID prefix, device model and whether ordinary data, calls, texts or MMS are affected. That information lets Red Pocket distinguish an APN problem from activation, SIM, coverage or device provisioning issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

What APN does Red Pocket GSMA use?

Use ERESELLER. The GSMA profile also uses MMSC http://mmsc.mobile.att.net, MMS proxy proxy.mobile.att.net, MMS port 80, MCC 310, MNC 410, APN type default, supl, mms, fota and protocol IPv4/IPv6.

What is the Red Pocket GSMT APN?

Use WHOLESALE. GSMT uses general Port 8080, MMSC http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc, MCC 310, MNC 280, APN type Default, mms, supl and protocol IPv4. Leave MMS proxy and MMS port unset.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How do I know whether my line is GSMA, GSMT or CDMA?

Check the network label beside your number in your Red Pocket account. ICCID prefixes are secondary clues: 89014 indicates GSMA, 89012 indicates GSMT and 89148 indicates CDMA. If they conflict, ask Red Pocket before changing settings.

Does Red Pocket CDMA require a manual APN?

Red Pocket’s current configure page says CDMA has no manual APN settings. Remove and reinsert the SIM to trigger automatic setup. Another troubleshooting page lists VZWINTERNET and other CDMA values, so do not assume those values are current for every line; contact support if automatic provisioning fails.

How long should I wait for Red Pocket APN setup?

The configure page allows up to 15 minutes for a connection, while the physical-SIM instructions use 10 minutes before suggesting manual setup. Treat these as page-specific guidance, then use Wi‑Fi and manual entry only if automatic configuration does not arrive.

Should I fill fields marked “Not set”?

No. Leave proxy, username, password, server, and any other field marked “Not set” blank. Guessed values can prevent data or MMS from working, and the GSMA and GSMT profiles must not be mixed.

What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Why can’t I edit the APN on my iPhone or Android phone?

Some carrier profiles and newer iPhones manage APNs automatically or make the fields read-only. Use automatic configuration and ask Red Pocket to verify or resend provisioning instead of installing an unrelated profile.

Why is Red Pocket data still not working after I entered the APN?

Confirm the profile matches the account network, activation is complete, the SIM is recognized, mobile data is enabled and the test is performed with Wi‑Fi off. If calls and texts work but data or MMS does not, provide Red Pocket with the network, ICCID prefix, phone model, operating-system version and exact failed services.

The Bottom Line

Use only the profile assigned to your Red Pocket line: GSMA uses ERESELLER and GSMT uses WHOLESALE, with the full MMS and protocol fields shown above. CDMA should receive settings automatically after SIM reinsertion according to the current configure page. If the network identity is unclear or provisioning fails, stop changing APNs and contact Red Pocket.
