Best subscription choices
Crunchyroll is the most straightforward US subscription option identified for the 1994 film. The same JustWatch US listing also showed Amazon Prime Video, Prime Video with Ads, the RetroCrush Amazon Channel, The CW, Fandango at Home Free and RetroCrush. Each service can have different sign-in, advertising and playback requirements, so check whether the result is included with your existing plan instead of assuming that every listing is a no-cost stream.

Free legal viewing
Pluto TV’s official movie page lists the film as free to watch. The practical trade-off is advertising and a catalog that can vary by location and date. RetroCrush and Fandango at Home Free were also listed as free options in the US snapshot; their availability may be ad-supported or otherwise subject to the service’s current free tier. Do not treat an unofficial upload on a video-sharing site as equivalent to these licensed listings.
Rent, download or own a copy
If you do not want a recurring subscription, the US listing included rental and download options through Fandango At Home and Amazon Video. Digital purchase normally ties playback to the retailer account rather than giving you a transferable file. Amazon also showed DVD and Blu-ray purchase listings, which are the more durable choice if you want to watch after a streaming license expires.
How to find the correct version
- Search for the full title, including “Animated Movie” and the year 1994; this prevents the live-action Chun-Li film or the television series from appearing as a substitute.
- Open the service’s own title page and verify that it identifies the feature film, not a trailer, clip or similarly named compilation.
- Check the audio and subtitle menu before starting. Availability of a particular dub, Japanese audio track or subtitle language can differ between services even when the movie itself is licensed.
- If you are using a free service, look for its ad-supported label and note whether the page offers on-demand playback or only a scheduled channel.
Street Fighter II: The Animated Series
Subscription streaming
Crunchyroll has an official series page with episode listings, making it the clearest place to start for a season-by-season watch. The US availability listing also reported fuboTV and the Cineverse Amazon Channel. A channel add-on such as Cineverse Amazon Channel is separate from a standard Prime membership, so read the enrollment screen carefully before confirming a trial or recurring charge.

Free, ad-supported services
RetroCrush and Pluto TV were listed as free ad-supported sources for the series. Pluto TV maintains an official series page with episodes. “Free” in this context means the service funds playback with advertising; it does not mean every episode is permanently available or that the catalog is identical in every state or country. If Pluto TV presents the show through a live channel, you may have less control over episode order than with an on-demand listing.
Buying episodes or a disc
Amazon Video was reported as a purchase option, and Blu-ray listings were also available. Buying a season or episodes can make sense when you want predictable access without ads, but verify what is included—individual episodes, a season, or a bonus package—and whether the retailer’s app supports your television or streaming device.
Episode and language checks
Animated-series listings sometimes differ in episode numbering, bonus content and subtitle support. Compare the episode count shown by the platform with the official series page, then open one episode’s details to inspect audio and subtitle choices. If a service shows only a trailer or a “not available” notice after you sign in, use another listing rather than assuming the entire series has disappeared.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009)
Why it is harder to stream by subscription
The US listings did not show a consistently available subscription stream for this live-action film. Instead, JustWatch reported digital rental or purchase through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store and Fandango At Home. That pattern makes a one-time transaction the realistic legal route when you want to watch it now.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsRent versus buy
A rental is appropriate for a single viewing and normally gives you a limited playback window set by the retailer. A purchase costs more up front but remains associated with your account under that retailer’s terms. Before paying, confirm the rental period, the time allowed after pressing Play, supported devices and whether the listing is for the 2009 film starring Chun-Li rather than an unrelated Street Fighter title.
Disc ownership
DVD and Blu-ray purchase listings provide an alternative to changing digital catalogs. Check the disc’s region coding, video format and included audio/subtitle languages against your player. A disc bought for another region may not play on a standard US player, even when the title name is identical.

Choosing the access model that fits you
| Model | What you get | Best for | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscription | Included playback while the service carries the title | Watching several episodes or other catalog content | Licenses can end; the title may require a higher tier or channel add-on |
| Free with ads | Licensed playback without a separate title fee | Occasional viewing and viewers avoiding a subscription | Commercial breaks, rotating catalogs and sometimes scheduled playback |
| Digital rental | Temporary access to one film | A single movie night | A viewing deadline applies; it is not permanent ownership |
| Digital purchase | Account-based access to the purchased film or episodes | Repeat viewing without a subscription | Playback depends on the retailer account, app and licensing terms |
| DVD or Blu-ray | A physical copy you can keep | Collectors, offline playback and long-term access | Requires compatible hardware and may have region restrictions |
For the two animated titles, start with Crunchyroll if you already subscribe, then compare the free Pluto TV or RetroCrush listing. For The Legend of Chun-Li, compare the rental window and purchase price shown by the digital stores, or choose a disc if ownership matters more than convenience.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Country, date and account caveats
US results do not travel automatically
The guide above is specifically for the United States. A title page can display a country-unavailable message elsewhere, and a service can carry a film in one territory while omitting it in another. Netflix’s pages for both the 1994 animated movie and The Legend of Chun-Li can show country-unavailable results; that is evidence of regional variation, not proof that Netflix never carries either title worldwide.
Licensing changes over time
The dates matter: the availability checks were made in October 2026, with the principal JustWatch US page checked on October 17. Rights can move between services after that date. Search the service directly, sign in if required, and confirm that the play button is active before starting a subscription or purchase.

- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Audio, subtitles and edits
Two services can offer the same title with different language tracks, subtitle sets, aspect ratios or ratings information. Open the playback details before paying, especially if you need English subtitles, Japanese audio or accessibility features. A listing that names the film does not by itself establish that every version or extra is included.
A reliable legal-search routine
- Identify the exact production. Use the year and format: 1994 animated movie, the Street Fighter II animated series, or the 2009 Legend of Chun-Li film.
- Set your country. Availability tools and platform catalogs are territory-specific; select the United States only if you are actually watching there.
- Check inclusion before subscribing. Distinguish a base subscription from an Amazon Channel, a free ad tier and a title that is merely available to rent.
- Compare the one-time options. For the 1994 film, check Fandango At Home and Amazon Video; for Legend of Chun-Li, also check Apple TV Store. Look at the rental deadline and purchase terms, not just the headline price.
- Verify playback details. Confirm audio, subtitles, episode count, device support and whether the page is on-demand or scheduled.
- Keep a fallback. If a subscription page says unavailable, try the listed free service or a digital rental rather than using an unlicensed upload.
Common problems and fixes
“The title appears in search but will not play”
This usually means the catalog entry is visible to search engines but restricted after location or account checks. Sign in, confirm your country setting and open the platform’s own detail page. If the play control remains disabled, use another currently listed service.
“I found the wrong Street Fighter”
Search with the year and the words “animated movie” or “animated series.” The 1994 feature, the television series and the 2009 live-action film are separate productions with different rights.
Recommended Free Tools
“A free listing asks for payment”
Free catalogs can sit beside rental listings, and an Amazon Channel can require an additional subscription. Recheck the label—free with ads, subscription included, channel add-on, rent or buy—before entering payment details.
“The language I need is missing”
Language tracks are title- and service-specific. Open the player’s audio and subtitle menu or the accessibility section before committing to a rental. If the required option is absent, another service or a disc edition may be a better fit.
Quick Recap
Legal viewing checklist

- Consider DVD or Blu-ray when you need a copy that is not tied to a changing streaming catalog.
- Avoid unlicensed uploads, mirror sites and downloads that do not identify a legitimate distributor.
