For a broad mix of game trailers and live gaming videos, start with YouTube Gaming. For footage and explanations from the people making a game, use the developer’s or publisher’s official channel, or the official guide for a showcase. An editorial video library such as GameSpot is useful for previews, interviews, reviews, and gameplay breakdowns—but check who uploaded each video before treating it as an official statement.
Where to find game trailers and footage
YouTube Gaming and game pages
YouTube’s Gaming destination brings together trending gaming videos, top live streams, live games, and videos from channels you subscribe to. For a particular title, look for its YouTube game page, which can collect popular videos and livestreams and link to other games from the same publisher or developer. These pages are generated by YouTube and are not editorial recommendations; a game page may also be unavailable if the title does not meet YouTube’s thresholds or has little video activity. Check the channel and uploader when you need to verify that a clip is official. See YouTube’s explanation of gaming content.

Official developer, publisher, and platform channels
For a first-party trailer or footage presented by the people making a game, follow the game’s official developer or publisher channel. Platform holders also host showcases that bring multiple games together. An event guide is the place to confirm where a particular broadcast will stream, whether a regional feed is available, and whether a replay or accessibility option is offered.

Editorial video libraries
GameSpot’s video library lists official trailers alongside previews, interviews, reviews, guides, and gameplay breakdowns. Editorial videos can add explanation or context around a game, but they are not developer statements unless the video is explicitly an official upload or developer presentation.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose the right source
| What you want | Where to start | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| A quick trailer or a broad browse | YouTube Gaming or a YouTube game page | Confirm the uploader if official footage matters; game pages are algorithmically generated. |
| Developer-presented gameplay or a showcase | The developer, publisher, or platform holder’s official channel and event guide | Check the specific event’s services, regional feeds, language, accessibility options, and replay details. |
| Preview, review, interview, or gameplay explanation | An editorial library such as GameSpot | Distinguish editorial coverage from an official upload or developer presentation. |
For a scheduled show, check four things before settling on a stream:

- 6.2” LCD screen
- Three play modes: TV, tabletop, and handheld
- Local co-op, online, and local wireless multiplayer
- Detachable Joy-Con controllers
- Nintendo Switch is the home of Mario & friends
- Source: Is it the developer, publisher, or platform holder, or an editorial outlet or creator?
- Format: Is the video a short trailer, extended gameplay, a developer deep dive, an interview, or a live showcase?
- Availability: Is it a live broadcast, or is a replay or video-on-demand available? Confirm on the event page.
- Access: Does the service work in your country, and does the event offer the language, captions, sign-language stream, or audio description you need?
Xbox’s guides for its January and June 2026 events document different accessibility and regional options, including captions, language feeds, sign-language streams, and audio-described versions. They show why it is safer to check each event’s guide than to assume every broadcast has the same access features.
