Find the model number first
Look for the model number on the tool’s label. RYOBI says it is usually at the top left and generally begins with a letter, such as P or RY, followed by numbers and letters. Use that complete number rather than a general description like “old Ryobi trimmer” when searching for a manual, diagram, replacement part, or repair information.

RYOBI Support provides model-based support, including links to manuals, parts, and repair information. If the label is worn, check the tool’s paperwork or packaging if available; avoid ordering based only on appearance, since similar tools can use different components.

RYOBI offers online Rapid Repair for eligible items and a locator for authorized service centers through its Service and Repair page. Eligibility varies by product, and the page lists excluded power-tool and outdoor-power categories. Check the current program details for your item before starting a repair request.

What to do if the whole tool is discontinued
RYOBI has a discontinued-products collection, but its existence does not establish current stock for a particular tool. No specific discontinued whole-tool listing is confirmed here. If you consider a used or resale listing, verify the model identity, condition, included components, and the seller’s return terms before paying.
