The game launched first on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, then arrived on Nintendo Switch 2. Warner Bros. Games lists both physical and digital formats for the main console release, while the Switch 2 Deluxe Edition is specifically documented as physical only.

These are reference figures, not a promise that every store will charge them. Retailers can run temporary promotions, sell used copies, add shipping, or show a different regional tax before checkout. Standard Edition
Standard is the straightforward choice if you only want the base game. It is documented for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in both physical and digital forms. On those platforms, it is the lower-cost way to start when you do not need the bundled add-on content. Check the exact product title before paying: a physical console disc, a digital console code and a PC key are not interchangeable.

Deluxe Edition
Deluxe includes the Legacy Collection DLC. That package is the key permanent difference for most buyers comparing the two editions. Deluxe also carried launch-period bonuses: eligible pre-orders received 72-hour early access beginning May 19, 2026, and the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit. Because the game has already launched, a current listing should not be assumed to include a lapsed pre-order entitlement unless the seller explicitly states how the code or bonus is delivered.

Do not value the early-access window as a current benefit: it was tied to eligible pre-orders before release. The DLC is the durable reason to choose Deluxe, while the Batsuit and any promotional item depend on the terms shown by the seller and the code’s redemption status.
Where to shop for each platform
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S physical copies
For a disc, begin with the official purchase-channel list: Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart are named retail options, alongside the platform’s own digital store. Compare the Standard and Deluxe pages separately. Retail search results often combine editions, so open the product page and confirm the console, edition and new or used condition before adding it to your cart.
Physical stock can vary by location and may show an attractive sticker price only after you select shipping or pickup. Record the delivered total and the estimated arrival date for each candidate. If you need the game on launch day, an in-stock local pickup option can be more useful than a lower-priced listing with a delayed delivery.

PS5 and Xbox digital copies
Check the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store for the matching edition. Digital storefronts remove shipping and physical-condition uncertainty, but they can still differ in regional tax and promotional pricing. Confirm that the store page identifies the correct console generation and that the selected edition includes the Legacy Collection DLC if you are comparing it with a physical Deluxe copy.
PC copies
PC buyers should compare Steam and Epic Games Store directly. Both are named official PC channels for the game. Compare like with like: Standard on one storefront against Standard on the other, and Deluxe against Deluxe. Check the account platform, activation requirements, edition contents and the final checkout currency. A cheaper key from an unrelated marketplace is not equivalent to an authorized storefront purchase and can introduce region or redemption problems.
Nintendo Switch 2
The documented Switch 2 release is the physical Deluxe Edition. Look specifically for a Switch 2 label and a physical product description; do not assume that a listing for the PS5, Xbox or PC Deluxe Edition will work on Nintendo’s console. Launch materials also described a limited Retro Video Game Batman minifigure promotion while supplies lasted. If that figure matters to you, check the seller’s current product photographs, bundle description and stock language instead of relying on an old search snippet.

Nintendo eShop is included in the official purchase-channel list, but the Switch 2 Deluxe documentation identifies the edition as physical only. Treat any apparent digital Switch 2 Deluxe offer as something to investigate carefully: verify what is actually being sold before entering payment details.

Other official channels
The official list also names LEGO as a purchase channel. Availability, edition and shipping terms can differ from the large retailers, so apply the same checks rather than assuming every channel carries every format.
How to find the lowest real cost
Use this process whenever you compare listings. It prevents a low sticker price from hiding a missing DLC code, shipping charge or incompatible platform.
- Lock the platform. Write down PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, or Nintendo Switch 2 before you search. For PC, also choose Steam or Epic Games Store if account compatibility matters.
- Choose the edition. Decide whether you want Standard or Deluxe before comparing prices. If you want the Legacy Collection DLC, compare Deluxe listings only; mixing editions makes the result meaningless.
- Filter the format. Select physical or digital. For physical copies, choose new or used deliberately. For digital copies, verify the account or storefront where the license will be activated.
- Search the named channels. Check the relevant platform store plus Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart for console discs. For PC, check Steam and Epic Games Store. For Switch 2, concentrate on the physical Deluxe listing and the Nintendo-specific product details.
- Open the complete listing. Confirm the title, platform, edition, format, condition, seller, included DLC and any stated promotional item. Do not rely on a search-result thumbnail or an automatically selected variant.
- Calculate delivered cost. Add the item price, shipping, required fees and applicable tax. For a used copy, include any DLC you would need to purchase separately and account for missing or already-redeemed codes.
- Record availability and timing. Note whether the item is in stock, back-ordered, pickup-only or sold by a marketplace seller, along with the estimated arrival date. A nominal saving is not useful if the copy arrives after the date you need it.
- Check the final checkout screen. Prices can change when you select a delivery address, membership option, payment method or regional version. Compare the final total, not the product-page headline.
- Recheck shortly before buying. Game prices and stock move quickly. Refresh the leading candidates and discard a comparison that no longer shows the same edition, condition or delivery charge.

When two offers finish at nearly the same delivered total, favor the one with a clearly stated edition, reliable fulfillment and an uncomplicated return policy. That is a practical way to reduce the risk of receiving a mismatched or incomplete package without claiming that one retailer is permanently cheapest.

Switch 2 buying details that deserve extra checks
Physical-only Deluxe documentation
Warner Bros. Games support describes the Nintendo Switch 2 Deluxe Edition as “physical only.” That wording matters because a normal search can surface digital PC or console products beside Switch 2 results. Confirm the Nintendo platform in the title, product specifications and packaging photos. If any field says download code, Steam, PlayStation or Xbox, stop and remove it from your Switch 2 comparison.
Retro Video Game Batman minifigure
The launch materials tie the Retro Video Game Batman minifigure to a limited promotion while supplies last. It is not safe to assume that every copy manufactured after launch, every used copy or every retailer listing includes it. Look for an explicit “while supplies last” statement, a bundle description or a photograph showing the item. If the figure is absent from the listing, value the game on the software contents alone rather than paying a premium based on an assumption.
Regional and stock checks
Switch 2 inventory can be more constrained than a digital PC listing. Check the seller’s shipping region, delivery estimate and return conditions. A listing that ships from another country can have different packaging, warranty handling, tax treatment or redemption terms. Keep the comparison within your own region whenever possible so the delivered totals are meaningful.
Understanding launch bonuses after release
Eligible pre-orders received 72-hour early access beginning May 19, 2026, ahead of the May 22 launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The pre-order package also advertised the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit. Those benefits were attached to the pre-order period, not to every Deluxe copy automatically. A post-launch page may still mention them in old marketing text even when the code is unavailable or already redeemed.

If a current seller promises either bonus, read the fulfillment language: determine whether it is a code in the box, a separate email, an account entitlement or merely historical promotional copy. For a used physical game, assume a one-time code may be gone unless the seller guarantees it is unused. The Legacy Collection DLC, by contrast, is the documented Deluxe content to prioritize when comparing the editions themselves.
Common buying mistakes and how to avoid them
- Comparing different editions: A discounted Standard listing is not cheaper than Deluxe if you intended to own the Legacy Collection DLC. Place like editions side by side.
- Buying the wrong platform: Search pages can group PS5, Xbox, PC and Switch 2 results. Read the platform field on the actual product page.
- Ignoring format: A digital license cannot be resold or lent like a physical copy, while a disc or cartridge may require a drive or compatible console. Decide this before comparing totals.
- Trusting the headline price: Shipping, tax and fees can erase a discount. Use the checkout total.
- Assuming Deluxe means every launch bonus: The DLC is documented; early access and the Batsuit were pre-order benefits. Verify any current claim.
- Overpaying for the Switch 2 minifigure: The Retro Video Game Batman figure was limited and supplies were not guaranteed. Require explicit inclusion in the listing.
- Buying an incomplete used copy: Ask whether the original DLC or promotional codes are present and unused. If the answer is unclear, compare the copy as base game only.
- Using an old price screenshot: Retail prices and inventory change. Recheck the live page and final checkout immediately before purchase.
- Confusing a marketplace seller with the store: Confirm who fulfills the order, how returns work and whether the seller ships to your region.
Which purchase makes sense for different buyers?
You want the lowest straightforward entry cost
Choose a legitimate Standard listing for your platform, then compare delivered totals across the relevant stores. Do not pay extra for Deluxe unless you value its DLC or a clearly documented included item.
You know you want the additional content
Compare Deluxe against Deluxe only. The bundled Legacy Collection DLC makes the edition comparison more meaningful than a simple difference in sticker price. Confirm that the DLC is included for your platform and that any code has not been redeemed.
You play on PC
Compare the same edition on Steam and Epic Games Store. The best offer is the one with the lower final regional total on the storefront you actually use, not necessarily the one with the lower pre-tax headline.
You play on Nintendo Switch 2
Search for the physical Deluxe Edition, verify the Switch 2 platform, and inspect whether the Retro Video Game Batman minifigure is explicitly included. Treat an unverified figure claim as having no added value.
You need a copy by a specific date
Prioritize confirmed stock and a dependable arrival estimate. A slightly higher delivered total can be rational if the cheaper listing is back-ordered or has an uncertain marketplace seller.
Final pre-purchase checklist
- Is the platform exactly the one you own?
- Did you intentionally choose Standard or Deluxe?
- Does the listing say physical or digital in the way you want?
- For Deluxe, is the Legacy Collection DLC explicitly included?
- Are the product condition and seller identity clear?
- Have you checked shipping, tax and fees at checkout?
- Is the estimated delivery or pickup date acceptable?
- If buying Switch 2, is it the physical Deluxe Edition?
- If the minifigure matters, does the listing explicitly include it while supplies last?
- Are you treating pre-order bonuses as historical unless the seller confirms current availability?
The most defensible “best price” is therefore the lowest delivered total for the exact platform, edition and format you want, with the promised contents and delivery date confirmed. Use the official MSRP figures as your reference point, but let the complete checkout total and listing details decide.
