The listing advertises Windows 11 verification and lifetime maintenance. These labels do not guarantee that every graphics driver, display mode or third-party utility will behave identically on every computer, but they are stronger evidence of present-day attention than a used disc listing can provide.

- Check the displayed price and purchase terms. The documented $5.99 figure was seen in 2026 and may no longer apply.
- Complete the purchase through the storefront. Keep the order confirmation for your records.
- Download the offline installer. Save a backup copy in a location you control if long-term access matters to you.

What to know before buying an original PC CD-ROM
Standard EA Games release
The standard EA Games PC CD-ROM is catalogued as a 2001 one-disc PC release. Its Amazon catalog identifier is ASIN B000056KDW. Physical listings may describe the item as a disc only, a complete package or a like-new copy, so the same identifier does not mean every listing contains the same materials.
EA Classics reissue
The EA Classics edition is also a one-disc PC release, catalogued under ASIN B00005V97I. It is the sensible target if your collection is organized around later budget-branded pressings rather than first-release packaging. Legacy Windows is a real constraint

The optical disc may be the weakest link
Many current laptops and small-form-factor desktops do not include an optical drive. Choose EA Classics when the budget label is part of the collection
The EA Classics pressing is still a legitimate physical edition, but its appeal is primarily collecting and branding. It does not gain the current Windows 11 verification, offline-installer convenience or maintenance promise associated with the GOG listing.
Do not choose by price alone
