Samsung documents Multi Control for a compatible Galaxy Book—not for any Windows laptop. You’ll need a supported Galaxy Book and Galaxy phone, the required Samsung software and phone software, the same Samsung account on both devices, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, and Multi Control switched on in each device’s settings. Exact compatibility can vary by model and region, so check both devices against Samsung’s local support information before troubleshooting or buying anything.
Which Windows PCs support Multi Control?
Samsung’s documented PC option is a compatible Galaxy Book. Its current US connected-experience guidance specifies Galaxy Book series models released in 2021 or later, with Samsung Settings 1.5 for Intel models or 3.3 for ARM models. Check your exact Galaxy Book model and installed Samsung Settings version; the release year alone does not establish compatibility. Samsung Connected Experience notes that availability can vary by device, country, carrier, and One UI version.

Samsung’s reviewed guidance does not establish support for generic third-party Windows laptops. If your PC is not a Galaxy Book, don’t assume Multi Control will work just because it runs Windows. Before choosing a PC for this feature, compare its exact model and software with Samsung’s current local product or support listing.
What does the Galaxy phone need?
The phone must be a compatible Galaxy model running supported software. Samsung Business US lists Android 13 with One UI 5.1 or later, while Samsung UK specifies One UI 5.1.1 or later for phones and tablets. These regional thresholds are not a guarantee that every phone meeting the version number is supported: model and market availability can differ. Accounts, wireless connections, and settings
- Same Samsung account: Sign in to the same Samsung account on both the phone and Galaxy Book.
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Turn both on for each device. Samsung UK specifies that they should also be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Multi Control enabled: Switch it on in the settings on both devices; having compatible hardware and connectivity alone is not enough.
Samsung’s US Connected Experience page says: “Your Galaxy Book, Galaxy Tab, TV, Smart Monitor and phone must have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on, and be logged into the same Samsung account.” This is Samsung’s guidance; availability still depends on the exact device and software.
How to turn on Multi Control
- Check compatibility first. Confirm the Galaxy Book model and Samsung Settings version, then check that the phone model and One UI version qualify under Samsung’s local guidance.
- Sign in and connect. Use the same Samsung account on both devices, enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and connect them to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Enable it on the Galaxy Book. Open Samsung Settings and turn on Multi Control.
- Enable it on the phone. Open Settings → Connected devices → Multi Control and switch it on. Menu names or locations may differ with device and software version.
Multi Control lets you use keyboard and mouse input across supported Samsung devices. Samsung’s regional support material discusses Bluetooth keyboard and mouse requirements for a phone-and-tablet setup, but does not establish that you must buy a new keyboard and mouse for every phone-and-PC configuration.

- Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Samsung account.
- Verify Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on for both; connect them to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Confirm Multi Control is enabled on both sides, using the settings paths above as a guide.
If those checks do not resolve the issue, Samsung’s public guidance does not provide a single exhaustive model list covering every region. Consult Samsung support for your specific devices rather than treating a Windows PC or Galaxy phone as compatible based on its brand or operating system alone.

Multi Control is not Phone Link
Multi Control is separate from Link to Windows and Microsoft Phone Link. Phone Link, paired with Link to Windows on the phone, is a different route for PC access to functions such as messages, photos, notifications, and calls. Using those apps does not remove Multi Control’s Galaxy Book, account, connectivity, software, or settings requirements. Samsung outlines the distinction in its Connected Experience information.
