Saber describes it as a single-player, first-person action horror survival game and estimates an 8–12-hour playthrough. Before buying, compare the edition and platform, check the current regional store listing, and read the content warnings—especially if torture, gore, or themes including suicide and domestic abuse are a concern.
What kind of game is Hellraiser: Revival?
You play as Aidan, who uses the Genesis Configuration—a mysterious puzzle box—in an attempt to save his girlfriend, Sunny, in the Labyrinth. Saber describes the story as new to the Hellraiser universe. Saber executive producer Nenad Tomic has said it draws inspiration from the first two films but is not directly connected to their plots; he has also said Clive Barker was involved from the beginning. Those are studio statements about the game’s development and story.

Combat combines weapons with powers from the Genesis Configuration. Saber’s July 2026 developer diary names the Scarlet Church and the Unworthy among the groups Aidan encounters. The official FAQ estimates about 8–12 hours for a playthrough; that is a developer estimate, not independently measured completion time. Saber said its FAQ had no post-launch content planned at the time it was published, though plans can change. Saber Interactive Support FAQ Developer diary

Are the content warnings a concern?
Yes, if you avoid graphic violence or certain mature themes. Steam’s developer content note mentions mature language, strong violence, gore, torture, consensual mutilation, drug and alcohol abuse, tobacco use, non-explicit consensual sex, and narrative themes of suicide, domestic abuse, BDSM practices, and addiction. The PlayStation Store flags blood and gore, intense violence, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and drug use. Review the warning on your own platform’s store before purchasing; the descriptions are not identical. Steam content note · PlayStation Store content ratings
