Start with the official event page
Open the event’s current registration page rather than a social-media screenshot, search result, or forwarded message. Check the page for four things:
- The current registration status, such as available, sold out, closed, or temporarily paused.
- A waitlist link or instructions for a future ticket release.
- An organizer contact route for questions that the page does not answer.
- Links to the event FAQ, terms, and the registration provider.

When registration says “full”
Confirm what “full” means
A full page does not always answer whether every possible ticket has been released. Read the wording carefully. “Sold out” may mean the currently released allocation is gone; “registration closed” may mean the organizer has stopped accepting entries; and “waitlist” indicates that the organizer is collecting requests without promising admission. Only the organizer can establish which status applies.
Take a screenshot or save the page URL and the time you checked it. Capacity messages can change, and keeping the original wording helps if you later contact support.
Use only an organizer-run waitlist
If the official page links to a waitlist, join through that link and complete every required field accurately. Keep the confirmation email, reference number, and any instructions about how offers will be sent. A waitlist is not a ticket: admission depends on the organizer releasing places and contacting you under its stated process.
Monitor the organizer’s own email, event page, and verified updates. Set a reminder to check at the intervals the organizer recommends, but do not assume that a third-party form, resale listing, or message promising a guaranteed place is connected to the event.
Check for a later official release

Consider another official Solana event
If no waitlist or release is offered, look for another official Solana event or an associated side event that fits your dates and location. Confirm that the alternative is genuinely connected to the organizer before submitting personal or payment information. Compare whether you have a confirmed ticket, only an inquiry, or no admission commitment at all.
What to do when a Solana event is postponed
Read the postponement notice and FAQ together

Establish whether your existing ticket carries over
Look for an explicit statement that an existing ticket is valid for the revised date. Check whether the ticket category, name, access level, and any add-ons remain unchanged. Find the refund deadline and method
Refund language should identify whether refunds are available, the date by which you must request one, and the channel used to submit it. The deadline may be tied to the organizer’s notice rather than the original event date. Save a copy of the request and any automated acknowledgement.

Check whether transfer is allowed
A transfer lets another person use the ticket; it is different from a refund. Read the terms for the permitted transfer window, identity-change procedure, and any restrictions on resale. Contact the organizer without losing your place
Use the contact route published on the official event page or in the FAQ. Include the event name, registration email, order or confirmation number, ticket category, and the specific decision you need: waitlist status, revised-date validity, transfer, or refund. Keep the original confirmation, payment receipt, policy version, postponement notice, and all support replies in one folder. If you join a waitlist, retain the waitlist confirmation separately from a paid ticket so you do not confuse a request for access with a completed registration.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Assuming a sold-out page is permanent
Capacity can change, but only an official release or waitlist announcement creates a real opportunity. Check the organizer’s page rather than relying on a prediction that more tickets will appear.
Buying from an unofficial seller
A resale message may omit name restrictions, invalidated QR codes, or transfer deadlines. Before sending money, verify that the organizer permits transfers and explains how the new attendee is recorded. If no official process exists, the seller cannot guarantee admission.
Missing a refund or transfer cutoff
Postponement does not necessarily extend deadlines. Write the stated date in your calendar as soon as you read the notice, and submit any request through the required channel before it closes.
Registering again without instructions
Creating a second registration can produce duplicate records or an unintended purchase. Register again only when the organizer explicitly says a new registration is required.
Trusting an outdated location or date
Forwarded graphics can preserve the original schedule. Verify the revised date, venue, and format on the current organizer page. Breakpoint’s FAQ states the 2026 venue as Olympia Convention Centre in London, but the live FAQ remains the authority for any subsequent change.
A practical checklist
- Open the current official event page.
- Record the status, page date, and any waitlist or release link.
- Read the linked FAQ and registration terms.
- If full, join only the official waitlist and save its confirmation.
- If postponed, record the revised date, ticket carry-over rule, refund deadline, refund method, and any new-registration requirement.
- For a transfer, use the organizer’s stated identity-change process.
- For a refund, submit the request before the published cutoff and retain proof.
- Compare another official event only after confirming its own registration status and terms.
- Ignore claims that cannot be matched to the organizer’s current page.
What cannot solve a capacity or postponement problem
No physical product, device setting, or generic software tool can create additional event capacity, determine a revised date, or override a ticket policy.
