If the submission fails, use a controlled sequence: verify the exact squad, test the same challenge in another supported interface, restart your PC or console if content appears missing, and record the title, platform, version and error wording. Reports about interface switching and SBC Storage are useful clues, not guaranteed fixes.

First, protect the players you did not intend to submit
A wrong-player display is more serious than an ordinary error message. Do not press the final confirmation button while the squad contains a player you want to keep. Remove the unexpected player, rebuild the squad manually if necessary, and read the warning shown immediately before submission.
EA’s official missing-items guidance states that SBC submissions are irreversible: the submitted items leave the Club, and EA Advisors cannot restore them. That policy applies even if you later realize that the wrong player was selected. Treat the confirmation screen as the last opportunity to cancel.

- Check the SBC title and requirements, not just the squad layout.
- Review each player slot, including substitutes or reserves displayed by the interface.
- Confirm that duplicate cards, untradeable cards and SBC Storage selections are the ones you actually want to use.
- Read the warning text before selecting Submit or its equivalent.
- If anything looks wrong, back out without confirming and rebuild the submission.
Identify which failure you are seeing
“Can’t submit SBC,” “Failed to Submit Challenge” and “error while submitting sbc” are phrases used in EA forum reports. They describe more than one situation, so the next step depends on what happened on your screen.

Step 1: verify the exact challenge and displayed squad
Before changing platforms or apps, establish whether the problem is the challenge, the selected players or the display itself. Open the SBC again and compare the requirement panel with the players currently shown. A squad can look familiar while belonging to a different challenge or tab.
Check the challenge identity
- Read the full SBC name and group or category.
- Review every requirement, such as rating, nationality, league, club, chemistry or special-card conditions shown by the game.
- Confirm that you are editing the intended segment of a multi-part challenge rather than a different segment in the same group.
The available evidence does not show that chemistry, rating or another particular requirement causes the wrong-player display. Do not label one of those conditions as the cause unless the game supplies a specific validation message.

- Open each occupied slot and inspect the card’s name and version.
- Look for cards selected from a different source, such as the main Club, a duplicate area or SBC Storage.
- Compare the displayed list with the players you intended to submit before moving to the confirmation screen.
- If the list is wrong, cancel the submission and rebuild it rather than relying on the final warning to correct the selection.
Take note of the exact error wording if the correct squad is displayed but the submission is rejected. “Failed to Submit Challenge” and a wrong-player display are different symptoms, even when they happen during the same attempt.

Step 2: test another supported submission interface
EA SPORTS FC can expose SBCs through the game, the Web App and the Companion App. If one surface rejects a correctly assembled challenge, trying another can show whether the failure is limited to that interface. This is a diagnostic comparison, not a ranking of reliability.

One FC 24 forum participant reported that the game failed while the Companion App and Web App worked. Another forum discussion advised trying all three surfaces. These are player reports and forum advice, not an EA guarantee, and the threads concern FC 24 cases rather than every current FC release.
Use a controlled comparison
- Write down the challenge name, platform, game or app version if shown, and exact error text.
- Use the same intended players when moving to the second interface.
- Inspect the squad again because the order, card source or saved draft may differ between surfaces.
- Submit only after the displayed players and warning are correct.
- Record whether the result is success, the same error, a different error or a different player list.
If two interfaces show different players, do not assume the successful-looking screen is safe. Compare the names and card versions manually, then cancel if there is any doubt.
Step 3: restart when content appears missing
EA Help’s article “How to find missing EA SPORTS FC™ Items and Packs,” accessed October 13, 2026, recommends restarting the PC or console and checking again when content appears to be missing. Apply that instruction when players, rewards or other Club content seem absent after an SBC attempt.

- Exit the game completely rather than leaving it suspended.
- Restart the PC or console.
- Launch the game again and inspect the Club and SBC screens.
- Check whether the same items are still missing before attempting another submission.
This procedure is an official check for missing content, not a complete explanation for every SBC submission error. It does not reverse an SBC that was already confirmed; EA’s policy is that submitted items cannot be restored by Advisors.
Step 4: isolate SBC Storage carefully
SBC Storage can be relevant when the error occurs only while selecting stored players. An FC 25 forum user reported an error during an SBC involving SBC Storage and said other SBCs worked when Storage was not used. That is one person’s observation, not proof that SBC Storage is generally defective or that avoiding it will solve your case.
A safe Storage test
- Note whether the failing squad contains players pulled from SBC Storage.
- Leave the challenge without confirming it.
- For a low-risk test, assemble an otherwise valid squad using players from the ordinary Club, provided you are comfortable using those cards.
- Check the full player list and warning, then submit only if the cards are expendable and intentional.
- Compare the result with the original Storage-based attempt.
Do not sacrifice valuable cards merely to run a test. If the challenge succeeds without Storage, record that correlation and report it to support; it still does not identify the underlying cause.
What the available evidence does—and does not—show
The strongest source here is EA Help, but its guidance addresses missing items and the irreversible nature of SBC submissions. It does not diagnose every “failed to submit” message or every wrong-player display.

The interface-switching reports come from EA forum threads about FC 24. The SBC Storage observation comes from an FC 25 thread. They do not establish behavior for every current title, platform, game build, app version or challenge. A report that worked for one player is not evidence of a universal fix.
- No confirmed current server outage is established by these sources.
- No confirmed universal Storage bug is established.
- No confirmed chemistry, rating or squad-rule defect is established as the cause of wrong players.
- No recovery method is established for an SBC already submitted with unintended players.
Keep those limits in mind when reading forum advice. The exact title, platform, version, interface and challenge are necessary context for a useful diagnosis.

- Wrong players visible: stop, cancel, verify the challenge and rebuild the squad. Do not confirm the warning until every card is intentional.
- Correct players, submission rejected: note the error and test the same challenge in the Web App or Companion App if available, or in the game if an app failed.
- Content missing after the attempt: restart the PC or console and check the Club and SBC screens again.
- Failure tied to SBC Storage: treat Storage as a variable and, only with expendable cards, compare against a non-Storage squad.
- Failure continues everywhere: stop repeating submissions, preserve the error details and contact current EA Help support channels. Do not promise that support can restore items that were submitted.
How to report the problem clearly
A precise report is more useful than repeating the same failed click. Include:

- the exact EA SPORTS FC title, platform and edition;
- the game, Web App or Companion App interface;
- the app or game version, when displayed;
- the full SBC name and segment;
- the exact error wording;
- whether the displayed players were wrong before confirmation;
- whether the challenge used SBC Storage;
- what happened after a restart or after trying another interface.
Describe observations separately from conclusions. For example, “the game rejected the challenge, while the Web App accepted the same displayed players” is more precise than “the servers are broken.” Avoid submitting another squad while trying to reproduce the issue unless every card is deliberately disposable.
Preventing a costly mistake on future SBCs
Use a confirmation checklist
- Challenge name and segment match the one you intended.
- Every player name and card version is correct.
- Players selected from Storage are intentional.
- The requirements panel is satisfied.
- The final warning lists no unexpected consequence.
- You would be comfortable losing every displayed card permanently.
Separate diagnosis from submission
When an interface fails, do not immediately rebuild with better cards or submit a replacement squad. First determine whether the same player list appears elsewhere. A second attempt can create a different error and make it harder to identify what changed.
Keep the scope of forum advice in perspective
Forum reports can reveal useful patterns, such as one interface working when another failed, but they are anecdotes. They are not failure-rate statistics, official bug notices or promises that the same steps will work in a later title.
When there is no confirmed fix
If the correct challenge still fails in the game, Web App and Companion App, a restart does not restore the missing content, and the problem is not clearly tied to Storage, the available evidence is insufficient to diagnose it remotely. Stop submitting cards, preserve the details listed above and use current EA Help support channels for the title and platform you play.
Most importantly, separate an unsuccessful submission from an irreversible submission. A failed attempt can be investigated; a confirmed SBC containing the wrong players cannot be undone by EA Advisors according to EA’s published guidance.
