The separate catch-up benefit is a 20% vendor discount for any team at least 40 points behind second place. It is not a Lonestar-only reward. Teamplay cash and XP multipliers were announced as Season 2 rules, but live-service rules can change without a client download.
Use the current rule, your final standings and the post-match totals to decide whether you saw an intended change or a genuine entitlement problem. Restarting and updating the game is sensible after a backend change, but it cannot restore a reward that the server no longer grants.

Is the missing bonus a bug or an intentional Season 2 change?
Season 2 launched with several different incentive systems that are easy to confuse. The original announcement described a Lonestar win bonus in cash and XP, along with teamplay cash and XP multipliers. Later, Bulkhead changed the live rules on the backend because Blue was winning by too much. PC Gamer reported the removed Blue/Lonestar boosts as a 5% cash bonus and a 2.5% XP bonus. Joe Brammer described the decision plainly: “We’re removing the Blue XP bonus, the cash bonus. We were wrong.”

That change means a player can complete a winning match, receive the normal payout and still see no extra Lonestar percentage. The absence is expected if the server is using the revised rule. It is not evidence that your account failed to claim an entitlement.

The catch-up mechanic is different. GamesRadar reported that Bulkhead added a 20% vendor discount for a team at least 40 points behind second place. The developer described it as “Relevant to all teams, not just Lonestar.” A player on a trailing team therefore cannot claim it merely because the team is losing; the 40-point relationship to second place must be met when the standings are evaluated.
Because these values are controlled server-side, the client interface may lag behind a rule change. Treat an old announcement, a screenshot from an earlier match or a remembered percentage as historical information until the current result and shop screen confirm it.

First, identify the reward you expected
Blue or Lonestar cash and XP
Ask whether you expected the old win percentages or simply expected any win reward. Normal match earnings and XP are separate from the removed boosts. A winning result without an additional 5% cash or 2.5% XP does not, by itself, show a failed claim. If your expectation came from launch coverage, record that it may describe an earlier rule set.
Teamplay multipliers
Teamplay rewards were announced alongside the faction incentives, but the available data does not establish one permanent percentage for every later match. Check the current event text or result panel for the multiplier that applied to your session. Do not calculate a missing amount from a launch screenshot if the live rule has changed.

The catch-up vendor discount
Check the final faction table, not just your personal score. The condition is relative: your team must be at least 40 points behind the team in second place. A team in third with a 39-point gap does not meet the stated threshold, and a team that is 40 points behind the leader but only 20 points behind second also does not meet it. Once eligible, inspect the vendor price while the condition is active; the benefit is a shop discount rather than cash deposited after the match.
Step-by-step troubleshooting
- Write down the expected item. Specify “old Lonestar cash bonus,” “old Lonestar XP bonus,” “teamplay multiplier” or “20% catch-up vendor discount.” Include whether you expected it after a win, after any match or while shopping.
- Check the current rule. Read the latest in-game Season 2 notice, event panel or patch information. If the missing item is the Blue/Lonestar percentage, treat the later Bulkhead removal as the leading explanation. The change was reported in 2026; an earlier announcement is not proof that the boost is still active.
- Confirm the match state. Record your faction, whether the match was completed, the final standings and the result shown by the server. For the catch-up rule, calculate the exact point difference between your team and second place. For a teamplay reward, note the activity or match condition displayed in the event panel.
- Fully quit and relaunch WARDOGS. Exit to the desktop or console menu rather than leaving the game suspended. Start it again so the client requests the current event configuration. This is a diagnostic step; there is no guarantee that a restart repairs an entitlement.
- Install pending updates. Apply any available game update, then restart once more. A client update can correct stale text or display values, but it cannot re-enable a server-side reward that Bulkhead removed.
- Inspect both result and shop screens. Review the post-match cash and XP totals, then open the vendor while your team still satisfies the catch-up condition. A missing percentage in the result screen and a missing discount in the shop are different reports and should not be combined.
- Capture evidence before playing another match. Save screenshots or video of the final standings, result totals, faction, event notice and vendor price. Note the UTC date and time, server or match identifier, platform and client version. Keep the unedited files so support can compare them with server logs.
- Contact official WARDOGS/Bulkhead support only when the rule says you qualify. Include the evidence and a short calculation. If the current rule shows that the Blue/Lonestar boost was removed, report the discrepancy only if the interface still promises it or if another active reward is absent.
How to verify each type of payout
Checking cash
Use the amount shown before the match, the base reward on the result screen and the amount credited afterward. If the 5% Blue/Lonestar boost is no longer active, the valid comparison is the normal reward, not base reward multiplied by 1.05. If a currently displayed teamplay multiplier applies, compare the server-provided total with the multiplier shown in that same session. Avoid rounding arguments based on a wallet balance that includes purchases or rewards from earlier matches.

Checking XP
XP can be harder to verify because progression screens may update in batches. Record the XP value immediately before queueing, the result-screen value and the value after returning to the menu. The former 2.5% Lonestar boost was removed according to PC Gamer’s 2026 report, so a normal increase is expected unless an active rule explicitly promises another multiplier.
Checking the vendor discount
Take a screenshot of the item’s undiscounted price if the interface shows one, then capture the price while your team is at least 40 points behind second place. The reported benefit is 20%; it is not a wallet credit and does not require Lonestar membership. If standings change before you open the vendor, the condition may no longer hold, so include the timestamp with the image.

- Using launch information after a backend revision. Season 2 percentages can change without a full client redesign. Verify the active rule first.
- Confusing third place with the catch-up threshold. Being last is not enough; the 40-point gap is measured against second place.
- Checking only the personal scoreboard. The discount depends on faction standings, while cash and XP depend on the match result and active reward rules.
- Expecting a shop discount as cash. A lower vendor price will not necessarily create a separate transaction in your wallet history.
- Switching teams to chase a reward. GamesRadar reported a 15-minute lock after joining when a team is more than 10 points ahead. The lock is a rule, not a failed reward claim.
- Relying on a restart as a cure. Relaunching refreshes the client view; it cannot override a server decision.
- Submitting a vague ticket. “No bonus” does not tell support which rule, faction, match or value is involved. Provide the exact numbers and screens.
When and how to escalate
Escalate when the current event text or standings show that you qualified and the server result still omits the benefit. A useful support report contains:
- your account identifier and platform;
- UTC date and time, region and match or server identifier;
- faction, final scores and whether your team was 40 or more points behind second;
- the reward name and the rule text you relied on;
- cash and XP before and after the match;
- the exact vendor item and displayed price, if the issue concerns the discount;
- screenshots or video showing the result, standings and shop screen; and
- client version and confirmation that you fully restarted and installed pending updates.
Keep the report factual. State the expected value, the observed value and the arithmetic that connects them. Do not ask support to restore the removed Blue/Lonestar bonus unless an official current notice says it is active for your match. A physical accessory, Windows cleaner or streaming service cannot grant a server-side entitlement.
What the evidence means
A missing 5% cash or 2.5% XP increase is consistent with Bulkhead’s post-launch decision to remove the Blue/Lonestar boosts. A missing 20% shop reduction requires a different check: the team must be at least 40 points behind second place at the time the discount is evaluated. A teamplay discrepancy is unresolved until you compare the current multiplier shown for that match with the server’s result.
