If an Artifact seems to be missing in CONTROL Resonant, first check where it is missing: the game world, the Archive, an inventory or formation screen, or your equipped loadout. Remedy has documented an Archive issue in which opening a collectible immediately after picking it up may fail to select it in the Archive menu. Update the game, restart it, and check the relevant Archive category before trying anything that could affect your save. There is no confirmed universal way to restore every missing Artifact.
First identify what “missing” means
An incomplete Archive entry does not by itself show that an Artifact was never acquired. Likewise, a missing world pickup, an absent formation input, and an unequipped effect are different problems. Note the exact Artifact or collectible name, if you know it, and the screen or place where you expected to see it.

Try low-risk checks first
- Write down the item and symptom. Record the Artifact or collectible’s exact name and category if known. Specify whether it is absent from the world, Archive, inventory, formation interface, or loadout.
- Recheck the Archive category. If the issue began after opening a collectible right after pickup, return to the Archives and check the relevant category. Remedy has acknowledged a selection issue in that situation, but has not said it explains every missing item.
- Install available updates and restart. Check that the game is up to date, close and restart it, then check the item again. Remedy’s known-issues article says its listed issues are planned to be addressed in a subsequent update, and update 1.4.0 notes include collectible and Archive fixes. The version you have installed therefore matters.
- Revisit a location only when you have a specific lead. If the game or a reliable item-specific guide points to a location or unfinished quest interaction, return and note what you find. The official material cited here does not support assuming that every item is permanently missable or recoverable through New Game Plus.
Protect your save while troubleshooting
Do not delete local or cloud saves, replace save files, or try an unverified save edit as a routine fix. Remedy’s getting-started guidance cautions against deleting saves unless you intend to start over or Player Support has identified a corrupted save. Preserve your current save while you investigate.
Report an Artifact that is still missing
For a persistent problem, contact Remedy through its official Player Support flow. A useful report lets support distinguish an Archive display issue from a pickup, progression, or save-specific problem. Include:

- The exact Artifact or collectible name and the category or screen where it should appear.
- The mission, area, or menu where the problem happened, and what action should have awarded the item.
- Your game version if available, quest progress, relevant unlocks, and any ability loadout details requested by the report form.
- Steps you took before the problem and troubleshooting already attempted.
- A screenshot or video showing the missing entry or the relevant location, if possible.
Remedy’s bug-reporting guidance also notes that PC diagnostics and the affected save folder may be requested. Provide those through the support flow when appropriate or requested, rather than sharing or replacing save files based on an unofficial suggestion.

Remedy has documented specific collectible and Archive behaviors, including a selection issue after immediate opening and an audio-playback fix in update 1.4.0. Those notes make the game version and the precise symptom important, but they do not confirm a universal recovery method or show that every incomplete Archive category represents an item lost from the save. Without the Artifact name, platform, version, and progression context, an item-specific location or recovery answer cannot be established.
