If a drone delivery is late, marked delivered but missing, or left somewhere unexpected, start with the order page for that specific shipment. It shows the current status and delivery details and provides the relevant support route. First confirm whether the order is actually a Prime Air delivery; Amazon’s late- and missing-package guidance applies to Amazon parcels generally and is not a published Prime Air-specific guarantee.
Start with the order page
In the Amazon app or under Your Orders, open the affected order. Check its latest status and timestamp, estimated delivery time, delivery instructions, and selected delivery point. Prime Air uses Amazon’s normal shopping and customer-service experience, and customers can choose a delivery point in the app. The order page is the best place to verify the details and find the support route for your shipment. If the drone delivery is delayed or still in transit
- Check for a revised estimate or delay notice. Follow the tracking information shown on the order rather than relying on the original estimate.
- Allow time for the shipment to arrive. Amazon’s general late-delivery guidance says weather and traffic can cause delays. It advises waiting 48 hours after the estimated delivery date if there is no delay notice; many late parcels arrive within that period. - Contact Customer Service if it remains late. For an Amazon-shipped order, Amazon’s general guidance says you can contact Customer Service within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. Use the order page so support can see the shipment details.
If the order says delivered but you cannot find it
Before reporting it missing, check the order details and search likely delivery locations:

- Confirm the address and any delivery instructions.
- Review the delivery photo or notice, if one is available.
- Check the selected drop-off point and nearby safe locations.
- Ask household members or neighbors whether they collected or moved the package.
Amazon notes that a delivery scan can appear before a package physically arrives. Its general missing-package instructions advise waiting 48 hours after a delivered scan before contacting support. If the package is still missing after that, report it through the order. For an Amazon-shipped order, the same general guidance says to contact Customer Service within 30 days of the expected delivery date. These timelines are not a separate Prime Air guarantee. If the package was left at the wrong spot
Check the delivery photo or notice against the delivery point selected for the order, then look in nearby safe locations and ask household members or neighbors. If it is not there, contact Amazon through the order page. Explain that it was a drone delivery, give the order number and delivery timestamp, identify the selected delivery point, and describe where you checked. Include any relevant photo or notice and ask support to investigate and explain what remedies are available.
Prime Air says it may change a delivery point if it detects a ground hazard. A drop-off that differs from the selected point may therefore reflect a safety decision, but the order page and Amazon support are the sources to check for what happened in your case. Prime Air safety information

If the drone landed unexpectedly or abandoned the delivery
Keep your distance from a landed aircraft and do not touch or approach it unless Amazon or emergency personnel instruct you to do so. Contact Amazon using the order page for directions. Prime Air says that, on rare occasions, a drone may abandon its planned delivery and return to its delivery center or select a safe landing location. Amazon’s published customer-service and package-help pages describe general support options, but they do not establish a distinct Prime Air claims process or promise a particular refund, replacement, or compensation for a delayed or misplaced drone delivery. Describe what happened accurately and ask support to investigate the order and explain the available remedy. Amazon says its usual customer-service experience includes returns and the A-to-z Guarantee; eligibility and outcomes depend on the order and circumstances.
